Operating hours extended at Walt Disney World parks in late March 2024

In the latest operating hours calendar refresh, three of the four Walt Disney World theme parks will see longer hours in late March 2024.

Beginning March 24, hours at Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom have been extended by three hours on most days. Disney's Hollywood Studios has seen a modest increase of 30 minutes in the same period.

Magic Kingdom has gained three extra hours in late March 2024

You can see the full Walt Disney World operating hours here and a summary of the changes below.

Disney's Animal Kingdom

March 24: 8 am - 7 pm (previously 9 am - 6 pm)
March 25 - 30: 8 am - 8 pm (previously 9 am - 6 pm)

Magic Kingdom

March 24 - 30: 8 am - 11 pm (previously 9 am - 9 pm)

Disney's Hollywood Studios

March 25 - 26, 28 - 30: 9 am - 9:30 pm (previously 9 am - 9 pm)

Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests can enter the parks 30 minutes before regular park opening.

I was in MK on Easter in 2010 and I remember the line for Haunted Mansion being backed up to the Liberty Belle Riverboat on ramp. Crazy lines everywhere. Of course, that was 15 years ago and crowd patterns have changed, but I still worry about days like that. We just have no other time to go this year.

Interesting. That Sunday is our Hollywood Studios day. Fingers crossed it will be manageable, but I was really hoping they would extend the park hours so there would be a second performance of Fantasmic as there is on Friday & Saturday. So we could tour the park all day and then see the late performance. Thanks

Actual holidays aren’t as busy as the days before and after any longer. Christmas Day was lovely last year. By about 12/27, it was slammed.

Weird that Easter Sunday only has 1 extra hour at MK, but no added park hours for any other park. Disney added park hours for Friday and Saturday for MK, AK, and HS. Do they think those crowds are just going to stay home on Sunday?
