PhotoPass photographers at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge are now offering a Magic Shot featuring The Child from The Mandalorian.

The effect is digital, and is not an actual meet and greet with the character.

Guests can purchase individual pictures or access photos with the Memory Maker package, or as part of some Annual Passes.

They aren't really doing any "regular" M&Gs right now. I would image once social distancing is over, they could certainly do one with a puppet The Child like they have for the other M&Gs you mentioned.

We still care about the timeline?

Yoda himself was around 900 years old around the time of his death in Jedi, so perhaps an apt conversion would be 10 yoda years : 1 human year as far as aging. Basically in the time between Mando and GE, baby yoda would have progressed from being a 5 year old to being a 7 year old... which is plausible, but maybe stretching it for him to still be in his pram.

They had him (animatronic) and Star-Lord in a M&G back in 2017. They were at HS the back of the "Walt Disney Presents" where Mike and Sully are now...

Serious question...how much would he age though? Isn't he...trying to remember...50 years old. So 20 years would be like for Baby Yoda would be like a 1 year aging by 4 months? It had me curious so I looked it up - my son gained 2 pounds in that time. Ok, maybe that isn't such a serious question. I think you had it right...he might grow a little.

I would die for Baby Groot!! I love him more than Baby Yoda (cute as he is) 💕

"Everyone's favorite character from the Mandalorian" Nope. My favorite is Mandy himself, Pedro Pascal, and not that child. If they can make a Baby Groot and BB8 animatronic for meet and greets, they could certainly do a Baby Yoda one. Are they saving that in the future?

Glad there are some "new" magic shots

MichWolvNov 03, 2020

Yes. I got this shot in early August.

In theory, yes. GE timeline is between Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. Mando takes place 6 years after Return of the Jedi. So the placement is possible. However, another ~20 years of aging on The Child would probably see him growing a little, at least.

Does this work with the timeline?

This started back in July!

Bold move to turn one's back on The Child. I'm surprised it's taken this long. It could have been free and subtle advertising on social media for weeks ahead on season 2.
