Overnight, the theme park areas faired better than expected, with Hurricane Matthew tracking slight further east than forecast.
Due to the change in track, wind speeds of 40mph were significantly less than anticipated, as was the accompanying rainfall.
Disney has not yet issued any further updates today, with all parks and Disney Springs currently closed.
Hurricane Preparedness crews will be inside the parks assessing damage and carrying out cleanup, with a view to returning to normal operations as soon as possible.
At Orlando International Airport, all flights have been cancelled for today, October 7, with flights expected to resume on the morning of October 8.
