Parking Cast Member Costumes 2025
Posted: Monday March 31, 2025 10:00am ET by WDWMAGIC Staff

Disney has introduced new costumes for its parking lot Cast Members across Walt Disney World, replacing the long-standing yellow color scheme with a more modern and functional look.

The updated uniform includes:

  • A white shirt
  • Dark blue pants (available in both short and long versions)
  •  Optional headwear, including a standard cap or wide-brimmed sun hat
  • A high-visibility vest in bright yellow and orange, worn over the shirt for safety

The new costumes are being worn by all Cast Members working in parking operations. That includes those stationed at the toll plazas, assisting guests in the lots, and operating or greeting guests on the parking lot trams.

This change brings the look of parking Cast Members more in line with the costume updates seen in other areas of the resort.

Here is a last look at the old costumes that have now been retired.

Just repurpose the old Epcot Test Track costumes and bring back the Crash Test Dummies M&G characters. The parking lot experience! LL only $12

This was most noticeable in DAK when all their OG costumes were redone and assimilated. They lost probably half their costumes. Biggest offenders is the train now wearing the standard park entry/discovery island costume, and jungle trek replacing the Asian costume with the standard animal keeper outfit. Those two changes really take away from the stories of the area.

Huuummmmm... I was pointing out a possible benefit of the new " costumes": but only as an observation not a endorsement. I agree that they can be better and there are better examples of changes they've made while still keeping in themed costume. In general I feel WDW is trending away from costumes for a show TO uniforms for a task effective operation.

They need to equip them with cooling vests with the cooling equipment in a backpack.

That should never be a reason for bad show or a declining of a professional look. It’s not always the case though - there’s been some good costume updates. The new monorail costumes and friendship boat costumes are great for example and are both an improvement over the previous design.

Wait... I can't be the only one who thought, "well, the shorts are definately shorter." Tan lines? Anyone? =-)

There’s many WDW costumes that already use white shirts without issue.

They’re a substitute till the actual shirts arrive

Yup. That's a thing. Many of the "costume" updates have resulted in something very akin to a standard issue uniform from anywhere. IMO Erodes the Magic a bit... sometimes a lot, but they are better for working in the Florida elements. Yes. This. 100% Knee jerk reaction thoughts: The navy blue seems like an odd choice because I would guess that dark color it will be hotter to wear and seems less visible so makes sense these are just a bandaid. They contrast between the white and the safety vest is way better though. The stripes was meant to be highly visible on its own but then safety vests became the operational standard, so you had two completing highly visual looks on the same persons. Should be interesting to see what they ultimately land on with this this change.
