Parking lot tram service has returned to operation today at Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT following a long three-year absence.
Tram service did not return to any park with the reopening of Walt Disney World following the COVID-19 pandemic closure in 2020.
Disney announced in December 2021 that parking trams would return to service at the Walt Disney World theme parks in a phased reopening starting at Magic Kingdom in December 2021, followed by the remaining parks throughout 2022.
Service resumed at Disney's Animal Kingdom on May 27, 2022, but the trams remained mothballed at EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, leaving guests with no other option than to walk to and from their cars.
The lack of tram service has been a source of plenty of guest complaints and even reached late-night TV with Stephen Colbert mocking Disney for not providing the service to its guests.
