Cast Members are now training on the parking trams at Disney's Hollywood Studios ahead of their return to service this month.
Disney announced last month that the parking lot tram service will return to operation at all four Walt Disney World theme parks this September, but fell short of offering a specific date.
Parking lot trams did not return with the reopening of Walt Disney World following the COVID-19 pandemic closure in 2020.
Disney announced in December 2021 that parking trams would be returning to service at the Walt Disney World theme parks in a phased reopening starting at Magic Kingdom in December 2021, followed by the remaining parks throughout 2022. Service resumed at Disney's Animal Kingdom on May 27, 2022, but the trams remained mothballed at EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, leaving guests with no other option than to walk to and from their cars.
Lack of tram service has been a source of plenty of guest complaints and even reached late-night TV with Stephen Colbert mocking Disney for not providing the service to its guests.
