Hurricane Ian has strengthened to near category 5 status, with wind speeds of 155mph as it approaches the west coast of Florida.

The latest local forecasts expect the worst conditions to arrive in Walt Disney World's Orange County at about 10 pm Wednesday, continuing through to 9 am on Thursday morning.
Winds up to 80mph are expected, with rainfall up to 2 feet. Flooding and large-scale power outages are expected.
Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom and Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for at least two days - September 28 - 29 2022. In addition to the closure of the parks, Disney Springs will be closed on Wednesday September 28, with a decision still to be made about operations on Thursday September 29.
