The Walt Disney Company received a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2023-24 Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQIA+ workplace equality, earning the Equity 100 Award for the fifteenth consecutive year.
Disney was recognized for inclusive policies, such as gender transition guidelines and support for transgender and non-binary employees.
"Creating workplaces where employees can be their authentic selves is one of our most important aims toward inclusion," said Tinisha Agramonte, Senior Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer The Walt Disney Company. "As an avid and long-standing champion of LGBTQIA+ communities, families and fans, Disney continues to deepen our support through emblematic content, community advocacy, and inclusion in the workplace and beyond."
Disney's efforts include charitable grants, policy advancement, and featuring diverse LGBTQIA+ stories in their content, alongside supporting organizations like Out & Equal Workplace Advocates and the Trevor Project.
