The Gingerbread Carousel is back at Disney's Beach Club this year after missing last year due to the pandemic.
This life-size spinning carousel is a holiday tradition at Disney's Beach Club Resort, and this year has The Little Mermaid theme with hand-painted holiday characters, handcrafted gingerbread shingles, and fondant snowflakes. The carousel is also adorned with the Walt Disney World 50th celebration logo.
The team has been busy backstage preparing the pieces, and this morning is in the lobby of the Beach Club to assemble the carousel.
Each of the horses are hand decorated and lifted into place as guests watch on.
All of the gingerbread shingles are placed by hand and glued in position with icing.
The carousel will be complete later today for its official November 1 opening, and will be in display through January 2 2022.
You can buy a selection of gingerbread products in the lobby, including Mickey shaped gingerbread and peppermint bark.
We'll be back for a look at the finished carousel and all of the resort' holiday decor later in the month.
