Progress continues at Stormalong Bay, the feature pool complex at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort, as the extensive refurbishment project moves into its final stages.
The pools are now refilled with water, and the waterfalls are running again. Concrete work around the deck appears complete, and construction walls are starting to come down throughout the area. The cabanas are being rebuilt, and loungers have been staged nearby, ready to be positioned once the area is cleared.
While the majority of the work looks finished, construction crews are still active in a few areas, most notably around the Shipwreck slide, which remains closed off.
Stormalong Bay has been closed since January 2025 for a six-month refurbishment. Barring any delays, the pool complex is expected to reopen by the end of June, restoring access to the popular sand-bottom pool, lazy river, and whirlpool spas for resort guests.
