Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is preparing for a significant refurbishment of its Magnolia Bend guest rooms.
Starting in early April 2025, these rooms will undergo upgrades through to the end of January 2026. During this refurbishment period, Disney says that guests may notice construction activity, which could include visible work and some noise in the Magnolia Bend area.
Magnolia Bend is one of the two main sections of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, located on the banks of the Sassagoula River. This area of the resort features stately, mansion-style buildings inspired by the grand architecture of the Old South. The buildings are surrounded by landscaped gardens and offer a tranquil setting that contrasts with the more rustic feel of the Alligator Bayou section. Magnolia Bend is easily accessible from the resort's main amenities, including the lobby, dining areas, and recreational facilities.
For those planning a visit during the refurbishment, it's important to note that Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside will remain open, and the resort’s other sections, such as Alligator Bayou, will still be available for bookings. Guests may want to request rooms away from the Magnolia Bend area if they prefer a quieter stay.
