Characters in Flight at Downtown Disney has been closed following an accident with a similar balloon at Hong Kong's Ocean park.
The Standard reports that five guests were injured in the Hong Kong accident, where the balloon fell from a height of 20 meters due to a sudden loss of helium. The
Ocean Park balloon was supplied by Aerophile, the same company that operates the Downtown Disney Characters in Flight attraction.
As a precaution, the Downtown Disney balloon has been dismantled and removed for inspection, and is not expected to reopen in the near future.
