New concept art has just been unveiled for the Moana-themed float in the upcoming nighttime parade, Disney Starlight, which is set to debut at Magic Kingdom in Summer 2025.

Continuing the Legacy of Nighttime Parades

Disney Starlight continues the tradition of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom, carrying on the legacy of classics like the Main Street Electrical Parade. This new parade uses the latest technology to bring beloved Disney stories to life. Expect dazzling lights, updated effects, and a completely new soundtrack to match the parade’s modern take on classic tales.

Beloved Characters and the Magic of the Blue Fairy

In addition to Moana, Disney Starlight will feature characters from Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, and more. Each float will be connected by the guiding light of the Blue Fairy.

I would be shocked if there were that many

They weren't at debut; it got pumped up as successful by being compared to only a small handful of films, but it was definitely not pulling high numbers. Like, it got half of what Elemental got in the same time and that movie has been completely absent from the entire park since its debut. Unless there's stats showing it's completely turned around since then.

15 or 20 wouldn’t be bad. Spectros count would be amazing but that’s unlikely. I think if there are several more floats yet to be revealed either they will start releasing concept art more often or they will keep some of the floats a surprise.

We know Mickey is coming...maybe another Princess?? Wonder how many Floats are behind TBA now??.....

I predict there will be between at least 15 to 20 floats. We’ll see for more announcements of new floats.

That would be nice but all they build is ip based lands now and I don’t know if most ips can support 3 to 4 rides without them becoming too alike. I’m mean let’s say there’s 1 e-ticket one d-ticket and one c or b-ticket. That’s a lot for most ips.

    TheMaxRebo3 days ago

yeah - was mostly clarifying for myself lol ... I know at some of the races they will have old ride vehicles and stuff like that so got a little excited about what this *could* be so just wanted to temper excitement if anyone was thinking what I was lol

Right. Like Blue Fairy at the last Expo.

just saw, and just to clarify it is just a backdrop of concept art for the float, not the actual float or anything
