New pilings in World Showcase Lagoon as preparations for EPCOT's new nighttime spectacular continue

Construction crews have installed new pilings in the center of World Showcase lagoon as work continues preparing for EPCOT's new nighttime spectacular.

The new structure is in a central location, just to the side of the slightly off-center central docking point for the Harmonious icon barge.

Disney has revealed very little about the new nighttime spectacular. Still, WDWMAGIC sources suggest that the show will be far less complex than Harmonious and will be capable of being removed from the lagoon after each show in a similar way to Reflections of Earth.

I don't think so. IIRC there's no speakers on the bridge. But the music is sufficiently loud from the park that you should be able to hear it. EPCOT fireworks aren't meant to be viewed from outside the park, unlike Magic Kingdom's.

Ohh, ok. I was hoping for a restaurant I could eat at since we get in pretty late anyways. Do they at least pipe in the music on the bridge?

You can't really see the fireworks from inside the buildings. Your best bet if you don't want to enter the park is the bridge between the Boardwalk and Beach Club leading out towards the International Gateway, pictured here:

What Epcot Resort Loop restaurant is best to watch this from? I'm taking a 1 day trip to Magic Kingdom but I'll be in the night before to hopefully watch Luminous. I am looking for a restaurant where you don't need to stay in the resort to watch, has a decent view, is affordable (for Disney lol), and hopefully pipes in the music. Are there any restaurants like that?

It was discussed a good few pages back.

I'm surprised no one has been ecstatic replying replying about the news here so I wouldn't known. Found out from somebody not in this forum.

Yeah, it's much more bland than it is stuffy.

It does scream "come enjoy eating at this strip mall chain restaurant" though!

You're a week late.

no it does not, but in all honesty it be better Chez Remy was in the exact location within the attraction building than a cheap deck Remy version in that small building.

The atmosphere doesn’t scream “come in with your toddlers” like Chez Remy does.

The prime I guess was to keep Chez Remy's exclusive to it's home in Disneyland Paris even though that was a fantastic restaurant. The creperie became a new addition to the France pavilion and represents the South of France. I don't know what you mean by stuffy. It's not tight or conjested infact it's the only one of few places where you don't need a reservation and is generally a walk in. Most restaurants I assume only open for lunch which noon tends to be the given time. That area with the Boulangerie and France Gifts is difficult because I love eating there but I also love the merch being there. What they have done is removed seating outside which use to have right in front and by the ice cream. P.S. many people end up sitting where the fountains are in the front.

It's Official ...or is it Someone shared it's dropped on ITunes! ;- )

Maybe because they need to program it for the barges? Maybe they're using the Luminous barges instead of the WWIII barges?
