Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World will close early at 4:30pm on January 31 2023.

Park hours at Magic Kingdom For January 31 2023 are 9:00am to 4:30pm

Park hours at Magic Kingdom For January 31 2023 are 9:00am to 4:30pm. EPCOT will be open from 9:00am to 9:00pm, Disney's Animal Kingdom from 9:00am to 7:00pm, and Disney's Hollywood Studios from 8:30am to 9:00pm. Park hoping begins at 2:00pm.

Early closures are typically due to private events taking place at the park. We have not yet been able to confirm the reason for this closure, but possibilities include a Cast Service celebration (which honors long-serving Cast Members), a media event, or a private park buyout.

Guests planning a trip at the end of January should plan around an early Magic Kingdom close

Unless there is a change to be announced, there isn't a 4:30pm close next Wednesday at the Magic Kingdom.

It was a joke. It is not definite situation. It depends the situation. Someone park hopping in at 2pm could get a lot more done by 10pm than a family who could hope in at 2pm and is done by 4:30pm. Their threshold may be different if they are not willing to wait in longer lines, but there is no reasonable increase in wait times that would make that much of a difference. The for sure is that closing early guarantees that NOTHING will get done for the day guests. It was just meant as a one liner.

I’ve seen CM pics. Looks like a great time! HM characters out, etc. 💕 And apparently they aren’t counting COVID layoffs against those milestone years, which is cool. They deserved it. 🏆

I'll say it's possible but I can't say "for sure". Later hours mean more crowds which mean longer queues. The longer waits hinder the ability to get more done.

Yeah I looked that might be tomorrow but it is warm, not crazy by Florida standards but not a 70 degree day either One of the reasons I moved is I got tired of hearing record......

One thing is for sure, you would get a lot more done if the park was open after 4:30.

It's the longer/shorter hours paradox. MK closes at 4:30 today for a CM appreciation event so many feel they aren't getting their best bang for their buck and go elsewhere. Those are the best days to go because lines are much shorter and you're likely to get more done. The only valid criticism is no nighttime show. By contrast, longer hours result in more guests and longer lines. Will you get more done with longer hours and longer lines? Possible. But you do get the nighttime show.
