The latest construction images reveal significant work on the entrance area, with crews focusing on the installation of the steel structure that will form the base of the new curved entry. This updated design will provide a more streamlined and visually striking approach to the attraction, complementing the futuristic themes within.

The new entrance will serve as the gateway to a fully reimagined Test Track experience, set to open in late summer 2025. The attraction will celebrate over 100 years of mobility innovation, incorporating new queue exhibits and ride scenes that explore customization, onboard technology, and sustainable advancements.

If you look closely, you can see they're testing riders too! Here's a photo of the rider walking out from the attraction:

They have spotted the cars testing on the track for test track! Looks to be black and silver.

Yeah, they really have to avoid these set-ups that don't actually work with the ride system they're using. This concept of testing the design of a car by getting into a completely different car never really made sense. I also put Dinosaur into that category, as the whole transporting a dinosaur back with you was very clunky as you were in a jeep which obviously couldn't fit a dinosaur. They threw in the line about enlarging the transporter field, but a) you had to be paying attention to get that and b) it would also raise more questions about what exactly was being transported back. Another case where the obsession with story got the better of them, at least in my opinion. In short, just have the set-up and story make sense for the ride vehicle!

Fun fact: the Cybertruck was designed by a 9-year old riding Test Track 2.0.

We too would make the most ridiculous monstrosity of a vehicle which was always good for a laugh.

That's what my son's would do. On first trip or two, they did it as best a kid could do. On our last trip, they were about 19 and my son Jack made the most absurd vehicle possible. 🤣

Introduce Figment to TT3 preshow and play Get Out of My Dreams Get into my Car by Billy Ocean during the ride. Boom. I'm an Imagineer.

I found 2.0 post show far more substantial to 1.0. They had the factory and a small show to the side with car area while 2.0 had the test scores, commercial kiosk, racing game, car area and photo ops.

Good to know where most of the 100M$ is going!

I sort of took that as a positive that they are focusing on the actual ride and that is where we will see major improvements/upgrades vs focusing on the preshow and not much changed to the actual ride

Disney's lawyers won't let them use that phrase inside a theme park anymore.
