Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach winter refurbishment dates

The dates are now available for the 2015 winter refurbishments of both Walt Disney World water parks.

This year, Blizzard beach will be closing first, with its refurbishment beginning on October 25 2015 through to January 2 2016.

Typhoon Lagoon will then close for its refurbishment on January 3 2016, through to March 12 2016.

    I'm so excited to have Typhoon Lagoon open when I go to visit. I actually was a little sad when I thought I'd have to go to Blizzard. :) Woo Woo

    Ahhh! I am so sad about this! I love Typhoon Lagoon, but always seem to go during the refurb. This year I am doing the Dopey Challenge, and I was so excited that Typhoon would be open! Floating in the lazy river after the 10K was my mid challenge reward! All the years I've gone in November and wished they'd switch the date, and they choose this year to do it!!!:banghead:

    They've changed things up this year then. I guess it'll be welcome news for those who vacation around the same time each year and are looking for a chance to try the other water park, to the one that's usually open.
