Disney Moves Quickly on Zootopia Show Installation with New Theater Permits at Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney Imagineering has filed two new Notices of Commencement today for work at the Tree of Life Theater in Disney's Animal Kingdom for the upcoming Zootopia: Better Zoogether! 3D attraction.

The permits include:

Elite A/V Systems Inc. – Scope listed as "Install Set Elements"
Solotech – Scope listed as "Electrical Work"

The Tree of Life Theater is part of the park's centerpiece icon.

Disney is wasting no time on the transformation of the Tree of Life Theater. Walt Disney Imagineering teams were seen onsite immediately following the closure of It's Tough to be a Bug! on March 17, 2025. In the days since, Imagineers have been observed entering and exiting the theater as work progresses.

Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is set to debut in winter 2025 and will immerse guests in the various biomes of Zootopia with characters from the 2016 film.

Be funny if it was set up so the next round of guests coming in to the preshow area hear the end of his instructions to the last group ... Like they all filed into the theater and we're gone before he finished instructing them to file into the theater

Just spitballing, but they really should have a sloth animatronic in the pre-show area. That would be perfect. 😅 It'd win me over just by having an animatronic where one wasn't before. They definitely will be doing work in that area. Lots of bug specific stuff there and lighting surrounding it (like the dung ball). Will miss it, actually. My DD kept trying to rotate it 😆.

It’s a process. Correct more or less that. We are saying the same thing. I will unregard this and move along. ^^^ Correct, I’m not trying to go against it. I’m just saying what it is and will happen Unless Test Track is becoming World of Motion I don’t see the similarity. It won’t have cars obviously but think concept only.
