Disney H2O Glow After Hours returns to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon with 18 event nights from May 25 to August 31, 2024.

The late-night parties will continue throughout the summer, which gives guests an opportunity to enjoy the tropical Disney water park with shorter wait times. Pricing varies by date, and ranges between $75 and $85. A $15 Annual Passholder and DVC Member discount is available.

At Disney H2O Glow After Hours, guests can immerse themselves in radiant lighting effects, vibrant decor, and high-energy DJ dance parties with some of their favorite Disney characters, like Goofy. New this year, cabanas will be available to rent online for groups looking for a private, reserved area during the event.

This event takes place from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. You can get a head start on the fun by entering the park at 6:00 pm - a few hours before the event officially begins.

Tickets for this event go on sale March 22. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green can purchase event tickets early by calling (407) 934-7639 beginning March 19, 2024.

For anyone considering this, we went last August and had a blast. Looking to go again this summer. The queues for most slides during the party were about average for a regular day ... BUT, just like party nights at MK, you are allowed in early at 6pm. Humunga Cowabunga and Crush n Gusher were nearly walk-ons until about 7 or so. You could get a lot done in that hour. Also, we took a car, which had it's own challenges at closing time. The line to get out of the lot onto Buena Vista Drive took about 30-45 minutes (buses were stuck in this as well.) It seemed like the traffic lights weren't running to account for the added traffic coming out of Typhoon that late at night -- only a few cars could go when it turned green. Fortunately, we had great weather and had one of those rare summer days without rain/storms. If you've been to Typhoon Lagoon lots of times already, this was a really unique, fun experience.

If the event before yours is cancelled, then a lot of people move their tickets into the next event so it gets very busy. We were rained off on our last trip, so came back a week later and it rained a little but everything stayed open. The queues were the same or longer than we’d experienced on a day visit - certainly not a walk on.

The last time we went in 2022 it was very VERY busy. The lines seemed busier than during day visits and Castaway Creek was absolutely rammed. We won't be doing it again based on our experience. The best advice I have is definitely take your car, we waited over an hour for the bus (huge line back to the park entrance) which had to take us to Disney Springs first then change for our resort. I don't know if it still does that, 3 years is a long time ;-)

Last years was all you can eat/drink!

For After Hours at the theme parks, you can grab as much as you want, so I assume it will be the same here. Moonlight Magic may have been different as it’s not an upcharge event.

I'm curious if the 'complimentary' refreshments are limited to # per person or if they are grab-as-much-as-you-want. I was extremely disappointed by the Moonlight Magic event I attended last February having limits on "complimentary soda, popcorn, and ice cream treats".

The one thing I really hate from this event is the terrible choice of having Phineas & Ferb NOT appear together and have one of the two switch every half hour for no reason when they're supposed to appear as a duo every time...😑

Has anyone been to this years event yet? My group is deciding on this vs a night at Springs to see the Drone show. Thoughts on this years offerings?

It is the big waves that can knock you over and send you 10-15 feet from where you started.

I went once last year; it was a rainy that night (so I don't know if that impacted attendance at all). I found the slides had sorter lines but the park was not empty. The waves are not calm. TL has a great lazy river and we spent a good part of our time in that. The have character themed floaties/rafts in river for the event. To me, I do prefer the evening compared to being there in the daylight. Other than music playing (DJ near the beach), I did not find anything too special other than not being out in the sunlight and the waits were lower on the night my family went.

As you've been to one before, I have a question. And anyone who has been, please throw in. My question is about the wave pool....are the waves still the larger, more forceful ones? I have family members who can't handle the strength of the waves and prefer the calmer wave pool at BB; unfortunately, BB will be closed when we go, barring some miracle. I'd like to try this after hours event, but I don't know my family would be up for it. They already feel the wave pool is too rough during the day, they would probably panic at the thought of doing it at night. Lol.

I've never been during the day. It doesn't seem like wall to wall people but it's not like the slides and rides are walk-on either. The wave pool is somewhat crowded but you can maintain some personal space pretty easily.
