Starting today, October 30, 2024, Disney's new Lightning Lane Premier Pass is available for purchase, offering an option for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and other select hotels. This pass provides a way to access multiple attractions within a single park, allowing visitors to skip standby lines and enjoy shorter waits at popular rides and experiences.

Overview of the Lightning Lane Premier Pass

The Lightning Lane Premier Pass offers unique flexibility compared to existing options like the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Unlike other passes, Premier Pass holders do not need to select specific arrival times for each attraction. Instead, guests can access each available Lightning Lane experience in their chosen park whenever they wish, making it a more open-ended option for navigating the day.

The pass is also all-inclusive for each park's available Lightning Lane attractions, allowing one-time access to every Lightning Lane experience in a single park on the selected day. Additionally, the pass includes access to Disney PhotoPass digital downloads for select attraction photos and videos, similar to the perks included with the Multi Pass.

Eligibility and How to Purchase

This pass is exclusively available to guests staying at eligible resorts, including Disney Deluxe Resort Hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and select hotels like the Walt Disney World Dolphin, Swan, and Shades of Green. Eligible guests can purchase the pass for their entire stay, up to 14 days, by logging into the My Disney Experience app and following the prompts under the "Lightning Lane Premier Pass" option on the app's home screen.

Pricing and Availability

Prices for the Lightning Lane Premier Pass vary by date and park, with specific pricing details updated daily within the My Disney Experience app. View 21 days of advance Lightning Lane Premier Pass pricing.

Today's pricing (October 30, 2024) is:

  • Magic Kingdom: $329
  • EPCOT: $169
  • Disney's Hollywood Studios: $269
  • Disney's Animal Kingdom: $129

Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests planning to purchase should ensure they have valid theme park admission and, in some cases, a park reservation for the day they plan to use the pass.

Using the Premier Pass

Once the pass is purchased, guests can visit any Lightning Lane attraction in their selected park, using their linked MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass, or other admission method to tap into the attraction. The My Disney Experience app helps keep track of which attractions have been used and which remain available for the day.

I can understand this in theory, but I think you could also argue that you want to be able to skip the lines at the international park because 1) for most US people, its far mor likely your visit to an international park is a 1 and done, vs multiple trips to WDW and 2) don't you want more time there to explore the other things the parks offer, the food, the shops, the shows, all the special items you can't get domestically?

Honestly these type of statements are just silly. I get that your time just might be so meaningless that wasting it standing around doing nothing is the best use of your time. So for your, sure there is "not value there "in reducing the time waiting around doing nothing. But for many people, including myself, my time is limited, its valuable, and I would much rather spending it doing something, anything, other than standing around doing nothing, when its avoidable. As to costs, again being a completely subjective and relative decision. Given you don't value your time, maybe for your budget 200-449 is too much to pay. Listen, I don't spend other people's money, so whatever works for you personally, that's great, but it has nothing to do with common sense. While I am not an actor or a professional athlete, and don't have "FU never have to worry about what my grandkids are going to do for work kind of money," I and many others, have a budget such that in a real sense there isn't really a practical difference between spending 15K, or 10K for an annual trip to WDW. So to me, spending the money to skip having to literally wait around and do nothing in a line is a no brainer.

Visiting an international park, to me, is the time when you don't want to buy any kind of skip-the-line pass, unless your goal is only to experience the ride itself and skip any and all details in the queue.

As long as it’s very limited supply…have at it. But to embrace common sense…there is none if you pay $200+$449 for rides in magic kingdom It’s not that good…and even though still one of the best parks on the planet…there is still not a “value there”

I assume you're referring to LL. Same analogy applies to many meals, hotels, snacks and souvenirs at Disney. I would buy the equivalent, in a heartbeat, if I visited an international park. My conclusion, LLPP makes sense for some guests. Not AP holders who go multiple times every year

Thanks, Nickys! I felt stupid asking, but decided I really wanted to know since I made up some pretty silly stuff:rolleyes:.

An extra 2-3 hours is hopping to another park or going to dinner or swimming in the pool. For example, my Saturday on the 2nd was something like this: 828 mine train line but it's down 834 pan 912 off pan 920 btm line 940 off btm 942 on TBA line 1013 off TBA 1026 HM LL 1048 off hm 1109 Starbucks no book 1128 out of Starbucks 1145 pirates LL 1202 off pirates 1215 leave MK 1254 arrive AKL 140 arrive at AK 215 harambe market and cocktail 234 nomad lounge return 340 leave nomad 355 EE 409 off EE 450 safari. LL 550 off bus AKL 628 off bus MK 657 Space Mountain LL 715 off space 745 off JC 800 desert party The whole middle of the day would not have happened if we did not have LLMP. With LLPP I may have been able to do more in the same amount of time.

That's fair. I fully admit that as a passholder within driving distance (approximately 3 hours) who has spent closing in on 200 days in the parks in my life and has experienced every attraction that I enjoy dozens or hundreds of times, it isn't remotely worth it TO ME to spend a dime on any line skip at WDW. If I go to Universal, where I haven't been for 8 or 9 years, I might feel differently because I'll be spending a limited number of days there. If the price is worth it to you to save the time then, by all means, go ahead and purchase and enjoy!

If someone with LLPP turns up and the CM says “it’s about a 20 minute wait just now” then they can just hit another ride first. Or buy a Mickey Bar. Very few people would decide to join the queue under those circumstances! And if they do then the wait is on them. So no one is prevented from joining the line but most would voluntarily delay if given the wait time.

…if you want to look the fool by burning money…gasoline and a lighter is more exciting

HauntedPirate16 hours ago

Absolutely. I was just saying that they won't be able to slow down the rate of LLPP people entering any particular LL queue. I'm sure they are very keen to know LLPP usage.
