Walt Disney World has announced park hour extensions for several of its parks in the coming weeks.

Operating hours have been extended at Walt Disney World during September 2024

Operating hours for all Walt Disney World parks are now available through early November, 2024, including key updates for Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom during the month of September, 2024.

Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios (Week of September 8, 2024)

For the week of September 8, 2024, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios will see slight changes in operating hours.

Disney's Animal Kingdom: From September 8 to 14, the park will open earlier, with hours extended from 8 am to 6 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).

Disney's Hollywood Studios: On September 13, the park will close 30 minutes later, with hours extended from 9 am to 9:30 pm (previously 9 am to 9 pm).

Magic Kingdom will now see longer hours on several days in September

Extended Hours Across Multiple Parks (Week of September 15, 2024)

Several parks, including Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios, will have extended hours during the week of September 15, 2024.

Magic Kingdom

September 20: Hours extended from 8 am to 6 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).
September 21: Hours extended from 9 am to 11 pm (previously 9 am to 10 pm).

Disney's Animal Kingdom

September 15-19: Opening time extended from 8 am to 6 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).
September 20 and 21: Hours extended from 8 am to 7 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).

Disney's Hollywood Studios

September 15: Hours extended from 9 am to 9:30 pm (previously 9 am to 9 pm).

Additional Extensions (Week of September 22, 2024)

The week of September 22, 2024, will see further extensions at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom

September 22 and 27: Hours extended from 8 am to 6 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).
September 28: Hours extended from 9 am to 11 pm (previously 9 am to 10 pm).

Disney's Animal Kingdom

September 22, 27, and 28: Hours extended from 8 am to 7 pm (previously 9 am to 6 pm).
September 23-26: Park hours will remain unchanged, operating from 8 am to 6 pm.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Sept. 1-7: 8am-6pm (previously 9am-6pm) *A note about an upcoming change to standard hours - beginning October 20, 2024 Animal Kingdom hours shift from 9am-6pm to 8am-6pm.

On the rolling calendar, Magic Kingdom is defaulting to a 9 pm closing in October? I could have sworn it’s always been 10 pm? I realize they will just extend to 10 pm or 11 pm but I don’t recall an opening time of 9 pm for MK.
