Disney has this afternoon made a slight adjustment to the mask policy for its Walt Disney World theme parks giving guests slightly more mask-free time in the parks.
Previously, Disney stated that masks were required at "All theaters, including theater entrances." That wording has now been changed to "All indoor theaters, including theater entrances."
Disney is currently only operating a handful of theater shows, including the indoor Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Frozen Sing-Along at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Outdoor shows include the Feathered Friends in Flight bird show at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Other candidates for the outdoor theater classification would appear to be the currently closed Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular , Fantasmic! and Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage.
Interestingly, this tweak to the mask policy may suggest that Disney is not planning on removing the indoor mask requirement this weekend following Orange County reaching phase 3 and eliminating its mask requirement.
