Universal Orlando has today dropped all mask requirements for fully vaccinated guests visiting its Central Florida theme parks.
The Walt Disney World competitor has updated its website with the new information, which says that "Face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated guests. For guests who have not been vaccinated, face coverings are encouraged while indoors - including restaurants, shops and indoor hotel public areas."
Universal last removed all mask requirements on May 28 2021, and reinstated their use when indoors during a surge in cases in late December 2021.
It remains to be seen if Disney will respond with a similar policy update, or it will continue to be more cautious. In summer 2021, Disney waited another week until June 11 to follow Universal.
Here is the full updated safety guidelines for Universal Orlando.
