Disney begins erasing former CEO Bob Chapek from its history

Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek has only been out of the job for a week, and Disney is already starting to erase his name from the company.

At Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas that serves Disney Cruise Line ships, a pump house has carried a large sign saying "Bob Chapek - Master Ship Builder."

Photos on Twitter posted today from the @TheDCLBlog show the sign has been removed.

This is not the first time that Disney has removed departed executives. Notably, Tom Staggs and Meg Crofton were photoshopped out of photographs displayed in Satu'li Canteen that showed the ground-breaking of Pandora the World of AVATAR at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

One thing that should be demanded by who ever is picked to take over--Bob Iger needs to completely leave the premises. No honorary office, not even a small cubicle. All privileges gone. If it satisfies his ego, make a statute in his honor--say just outside one of the restrooms in one of the parks.
