The STCU Union has this evening announced that its members have voted yes to Disney's latest offer to increase the minimum wage from $15 to $18 by the end of the year for full-time workers at Walt Disney World.
The Union's members voted on the new contract today, with all six unions unanimously supporting the agreement and recommending their members vote to ratify it. According to UNITE HERE Local 737, 12500 Cast Members voted and 97% voted to approve.
An $18 starting wage will move Disney ahead of Universal, which increased its starting wage to $17 earlier this year.
