Sure it's a big store, sure it has a lot of stuff but why would someone spend some of their wdw vacation in here? There's an fye near my house so going to a virgin megastore isn't exactly on my must-do list.
If it's Disney Merchandise, chances are that they have it. The largest selection I have seen. A great place to get shopping done after the parks close as it's open late.
Not a huge shop, but still full of Indy merchandise including the garb he wears. It's definately worth a stop if you're a fan. (or even if you aren't. there are interesting things to look at)
Will give detailed ratings later, bought my Splash photo here, more attractive than the Tower of Terror shop, but not as cool as the Aerosmith shop.
SOCKS! lol. I didnt wear any that day and forgot I was supposed to tour DHS that day and had to wear my Dad's Sandals without socks so I got some decent blisters. I was surprised they didnt sell them. I remember my local pool used to sell socks as kids would often lose them in the change rooms, etc.
Didn't want to get too close to anything lol. Pretty expensive, but I liked how the staff were friendly and you could go in the back way to view the walk through parts of Disney Animation without having to go through the movie (which I'm assuming wasnt much different from the version I saw at DCA in 2001).
if your having a haunted house for halloween, a halloween party, or just plain love the classic attration, this is your cd.
i love this cd because it includes the awesome music in the parade. its great to listen to on the way to the parks. its also great for little kids becuase it includes all the classics. great bedtime music. im a teenager, and love to hear this before i go to sleep

this dvd is great becuase you can get your disney fix, as well as relive memories its also great becuse it shows alot of the animals that they have
Firework: i love wishes because it reminds me how life goes fast, and how you can never give up on your dreams. I always cry when i see the fireworks at magic kingdom, watching the home movies , youtubing it, but also from listening to the music and actually grasping the lyrics. the quote i wish i never had to grow up always gets me since i am going to be a senior in hs next year, and how much disney has been apart of my life, and how scared and excited i am to become an adult St Jude: good cause, and amazing artists who do renditions of their fav songs, which i must say is awesome
i love it because the fact that this is my favorite parade at the resort. there is something magical not only about the parade, but the cd as well. when i dont feel like playing home movies of it, or youtubing it, i can close my eyes and see the parade as if i am there.
i love this cd bc this is the only way to get songs from fantasmic to your ipod. i also like it because before a trip it gets me excited, and when i get home, it brings back memories and cheers me up, and gets me excited for my next trip. It is also a great cd bc the music from the show is upbeat, and its a great way to wake yourself up. but seriously i love fantasmic and this cd is awesome
i love this cd because we play it every christmas, whether we be blessed to be at disney if we get reservations or flights(lol) or be at home hosting christmas eve. it brings holdiay magic
i love this cd bc this is the only way to get songs from attractions to your ipod. i also like it because before a trip it gets me excited, and when i get home, it brings back memories and cheers me up, and gets me excited for my next trip
The new playground in the front is wonderful, but this place was much better when the whole of Downtown Disney was what we now call the Disney Marketplace. There were sleeping tourists and posed families made out of Legos. The show windows that are supposedly new were there too. The only thing that remains is the sea-drake in the lake. Still, taken on its own this is a great shop where the kids can play/build to their hearts' content without buying a thing.
The cast members at this store are great about letting you "try without buying." In a corner of the shop you can get your picture inserted into a scene from the Star Wars movies (it's the closest I'll ever come to looking like Natalie Portman). This has some of the most fun toys in the Disney and lots of SW paraphanelia. Well-themed, too.
If you are staying at the Boardwalk Resort this is a good store. They have some chips and snacks for the pool along with Boardwalk merchandise and your basic disney souvineers. Its a good place to just walk around while you are on the boardwalk.
The store is divided into sections... little boys.. little girls.. pins and jewlery.. womans... mens.. hats and tshirts.. housewares and kitchen items.. and a whole section on books and pens and keychains, even a section for plush. also the bibbity bobbity boutique is in the little girls section. The store is very very crowded at night.. i recommend going during the day so you can see everything, if you plan on taking it easy one day. when it gets busy it is hard to move around, can be frustrating for those who do not like crowds! You could get all your shopping done here! If there is something you saw in the parks.. they can order it for you and get it sent to your room if you didnt see it in the world of disney. It is a one stop shopping place.. if there is something you missed, the other stores in downtown disney im sure have it!
So sinful... so delectable... The Confectionary on Main Street USA is better for kiddies and caramel apples, but teens and young adults will love this darker, ever-so-slightly-less-expensive version.
I would recommend this as a new purchase whether you have any of the old ones or not, even if you have the most recent one before this. The new tracks in combination with some of the more classic music makes this well worth it. There are so many great tracks, especially medleys of Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, etc., and other wonderful pieces from the Universe of Energy, Soarin', etc. My absolute favorite on this album is without a doubt the track from the updated Spaceship Earth. Here's my opinions of the new tracks: Disc Two - 18) CTX Theme- Extended from the track that was on the previous album, not unpleasant, very environmental I'd say, but it seems like it could be BGM for anywhere in Animal Kingdom, nothing really distinguishing about it. Disc Two - 15) Lights, Motors, Action!- All I have to say is that I am so happy it's not the music while you're waiting for the show. It's the actual score from the action sequences. It's decent, it does the job that it needs to for the show, but isn't really anything special. Disc Two - 9) The Three Caballeros (Gran Fiesta Tour)- More or less just the theme song from the movie, rewritten for the attraction. I enjoy the movie, but in the context of EPCOT: yuck. Disc Two - 8) Reflections of China- Awesome addition to the album! Beautiful music from this relatively recently updated Circle-Vision movie! Disc Two - 5) Canada (You're a Lifetime Journey)- In addition to the new version of the theme song, this track starts with some of the very lovely, relaxing pre-show music. I've always loved the original version of the song, and since the new one is just kind of whatever, the atmospheric music certainly makes up for that. Disc Two - 1) The Seas with Nemo & Friends- Consists of the score through the ride, culminating in the attractions version of Big Blue World. The score is very pleasant, not as much as the Canada score, but still nice. What's disappointing is that Big Blue World is a mix of all of the vocals throughout the finale, and it just doesn't sound good to me. Disc One - 16) Spaceship Earth- Ladies and gentlemen, this is your $25 right here. This track is 10 minutes, and is essentially a ride-through. However, there are some apparent omissions in the track, if my memory serves me right. Most of this music is BEAUTIFUL. In fact there are some parts of the ride that doesn't do the corresponding music justice. The beginning, for example, which is the outside BGM followed by the music from the ascent, is perfect EPCOT Center music. The track moves on to the score from in and around the Egypt/Phoenicians scene. I'm not sure if there is different music for the Greek and Rome scenes, if so, I don't think it's in this track. From here, it goes to the blaring Sistine Chapel chorus, which I'm still not a fan. Oddly enough, this is followed by the Renaissance score, which would actually precede the Sistine Chapel in the ride. The Industrial Revolution is next, which a fun, upbeat piece. Omitted in the track that would go in this spot would be the music in the brand new computer room. Next up is the Matrix music, which on CD is more blatantly a rip-off (or homage) of Don Davis score from the movie. Now is another odd reversal, it seemingly has some of the descent music before the Earth in space part. It could just be a creative decision, as the Earth music seems better to end the track. Also, I believe some of the descent score is left out, from while you're watching your cartoon. All in all, great music, I think the new main theme for Spaceship Earth is just golden, and this CD really gives it a chance to shine. Just listening to it in my car, it is extremely powerful, sounds a lot better than coming out of the speakers at the actual park, you can hear the subtlety in everything.
Mickey's Groove is located across from Planet Hollywood in Downtown Disney. The main thing it sells is "big surprise," Mickey merchandise such as hats and T- shirts. It is a unique and nice shop overall.
The Stitch Mania that infected all of WDW has died down and now is somewhat contained except for Merchant of Venus. The shop is the exit for Stitch's Great Escape and is packed with Lilo and Stitch memoribilia. That isn't always a bad things though, it has some other Disney stuff and is a place to dodge heat and rain.
The Trading Post has one of the biggest selections of collectable Disney pins in MK. If you are one of the people who do collect them, it's a great place to check out. There are other things for sale too...
Hoypoloi is an abstract art shop with weird looking plates, sculptures and other things. The abstract theme seems quite popular for some reason...
Magnetron is another peculiar shop on the DD West Side. The big magnet and the colors on the outside are attractive. Inside there are almost any magnets imaginable for sale including realistic looking donuts and hamburgers.
Staribilias is packed with autographed movie poster, signed guitars, and many other great collectors items. They even have Winston Churchill's walking stick for sale. The stuff is fun to look at but most of the "merchandise" costs well over $1000! It's definately worth a look though.
great selection of themed merchandise. Also, dont forget to buy a pic of you on the ride.
best selection of tot merchandise...make sure to get the photo from your ride , as well as i survived holly wood tower of terror
great , but small, selection of disney items. food is great, esp. cookies. best place for por merchandise
amazing. it is the worlds largest disney store, which means it has the best selection at wdw. the pirates part is great for boys, as well as bbb is great, however a little bit pricy BEST STORE FOR SHOPAHOLICS LIKE ME
great selection of kids, and princess costumes
great selection of merchandise
The Emporium is huge. Located in Mainstreet it stretches almost the whole land. It is probably the closest thing to the World of Disney shop in DD. The Emporium has a grand selection of almost any souvenier from MK or WDW in general.
The Crossroads is located near the entrance of the park and is circular in shape. It is more of an information booth than a shop although it does sell those collectable pins in large quantities.
The "official" shop for the Country Bear Jamboree is more like a cart. It does have stuffed characters from the show and other merchandise. There is actually quite a bit of memoribilia in the small place. It's located across from the show.
First off: who goes to Disney World to write a novel? Second: It's tiny and the smoothie-maker is loud. Thirdly: a couple coffee tables and a book rack does not make it a bookstore or a writing center. It's saving grace: it is so out-of-the-way that it's never busy. And always very clean. Disney needs a Borders so badly.
With songs that characterize every theme park - including some songs you can no longer hear in the parks like "Horizons" - this is the perfect remedy for when you get that urge to book without even looking at your credit score. Sing along to the "Magic Kingdom Welcome" and "Diggin' in DinoLand." Nostalgia in a two-disc case.
If you consider buying all three of these guides to expensive, drop this one. Not because the stuff about the inspiration for the shape of Test Track isn't cool, or that you don't want to learn about royal supervision of the Moroccan pavilion, but because the Imagineers kinda gloss over the fact that they destroyed Walt Disney's vision for EPCOT Center by turning an idyllic city into a theme park. Also, note the subtle references to Chinese communism in the section about the China pavilion. (How much you wanna bet Walt would have never let them in?)
We Disney veterans hear all about the how hard it was for the Imagineers to incorporate animals into their show sets. We all know that AK was a big leap for Disney. But did you know that Harambe has an entire backstory of revolution? Did you know that Anandapur is the product of an 18-month research trip to rural Asia that influenced every part of the design including the street lights? Have you ever wondered how they make that specialty paving with bike tracks and animal prints? Did you know that the shops in Discovery Island have height restrictions so that they don't dwarf the wildlife? You will learn all about this and more in this cheap, portable handguide.
I LOVE this guide. It is small and compact so you can carry it around the park. It makes MK seem like both a Disney vacation and a sightseeing trip! The tidbits about the Imagineering process are "funducational." It's like Pal Mickey on Barry Bonds-level steroids! And much cheaper! Indispensable - especially if you love Disney the organization as well as the Disney the theme park.
It looks a lot like the other shops around Main Street, with the dark wood and theme. Athletic Club does sell plaques celebrating legendary athletes and their career stats, it may be the only place that sells those. It of course solicites the Disney jerseys as well. Overall, it is a good place to spend a few minutes.
We enjoyed the 10 minutes we spent poking around this shop. My daughter had her hair braided by some nice Cast Members. She recommends this shop to all.
