I loved this parade......went back to see it 3 times ....different places along the route...gets everybody dancing....my family loved it too!
this format was a very bad idea especially if you have younger children. We saw the Block Party for the first time in May. We waited in front of the ear hat and we could see the first stop. We waited for over 15 minutes until our little ones just could not stand it any more. It looked like it was just people jumping up and down. I much prefered the stars and cars parade. We are going back to WDW in March and will definatly skip the Block Party.
We just got back from Disney and had the opportunity to test Kim Possible. It's one of the greatest things they've ever done! This is SMART Disney. The clues are hidden so cleverly and seamlessly into the pavilions. We were able to test Mexico, China and Japan. We can't wait until it's fully operational.
Ok, so now that I've tested the Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure when it was just a crazy experiment from the talents at WDI Research and Development, to now in it's implemented final form during Stress Tests, I stand by what I've always said: You are in for a REAL TREAT. Not only is it a fantastic idea, but one of the most original attractions ever offered by Disney in recent years. Technologically amazing, Stories that are not only interesting but keep in the theme of World Showcase, and a overall fun time for everyone. The effects were all Grade A stuff, and unless you knew they were there, normal guests wouldn't know anything unusual is happening. Blending modern special effects into the old-world streets of the World Showcase Pavilions is quite a trick, and WDI delivers. Not to mention the astounding control systems that take you from Mission to Mission without coming into contact with other players. The entire time playing the game I never encountered another player, even though a good many people were playing. We've gone a LONG way from the "Sensor Maze" my friends. Now they REALLY know you're there. From effects-driven "events" hidden into the fabric of each country, to educational questions, it's got it all. Entertaining characters, engaging storylines, and a brand new way of thinking what a Disney Attraction can be, THIS is one of the ideas that really shows to me that Walt Disney Imagineering still has that bold ambition that no other park can hope to replicate. Years in the future I can still picture people like me having fun sneaking around the Mexico Pavilion, or triggering hidden devices in France. In summary, while others may be paying attention to "American Idol", you really don't want to pass by the unassuming wood-work carts and Cast Members with baggy cargo pants hidden in the corners between Pavilions. Because I guarantee you'll have the time of your life Saving the World. (Showcase)
Over the past couple of years, Animal Kingdom has become my favorite Disney park. So many of the shows and attractions are top notch, making it hard to pick a favorite. However, if I had to pick one must-see attraction for the park, this would be it. Nobody does 3-D like Disney does and this is the best 3-D show they've ever done.
This is one of those shows that most people probably skip right over. However, this is a fun show that is something you can see everytime you visit this park.
It really is amazing the amount of thought and effort that Disney puts into each and every attraction. This is the best visual show that Disney has ever put on at a theme park. The sets, the costumes, and puppets are absolutely wonderful.
Take one look at EE and you know that you're in for a treat. While it may not be as thrilling as a lot of roller coasters, the track itself is very well designed and the backwards portion definitely makes this a unique experience.
It seems to me that a lot of people overlook this attraction. This to me is classic Disney. Wonderful animatronics, great theming, and a fun story all make this a must see when visiting Animal Kingdom.
Headlined by Star tours, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and Sounds dangerous, the "land" also contains what is the real echo lake. It's a small body of water with a boat transformed into a snack shop and a large loch ness monster like creature. The Loch Ness monster actually breathes smoke and used to scare the crap out of me as a young child. It's a decent land.
Timekeeper was a good show in Tomorrowland. It was funny and engaging. Timekeeper and nineye were great characters. The screen was 360 degrees and the storyline was good. Don't know why they got rid of it...
Wonders of Life was a good EPCOT pavilion. It featured Body Wars, which was a highly misunderstood but fun ride. Cranium Command was also a good show. The main theme was the human body and how to keep it healthy. There were rarely huge crowds in the building but it was a quality pavilion and will be missed. I don't know what is going in its place either. It doesn't make a lot of sense to close it...
Once you enter over the bridge into adventureland, the magic begins. The Jungle Cruise, Swiss Family Treehouse, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Pirates of the Caribbean are all great attractions.
This is by far the most magical 3D show disney has. Everything about this attraction is fantastic. Its great for all guests and will leave everyone with smiles. Its a must see!
This ride gets better and better. It's so much fun and it never gets old.
This ride was always great, but the rehab made it amazing. Classic Disney at its best!
I was very pleased with this ride. I never really liked the original ride, but this new and improved version is great! It's now on my must-see attractions in Epcot. Great for the little ones and enjoyable for all of the older ones.
Wow. What a great show. I saw it for the first time over Christmas and it was absolutely amazing. By far the best show I've ever seen at Disney. It's a must-see for me!
The Socerer Mickey hat is indeed the "logo" for the Hollywood Studios, narrowly edging out the Tower of Terror. It is visible from most of the park but blocks the view of the Great Movie Ride after one passes through the park entrance. It looks good though and serves its purpose.
The Mickey wand was basically a huge version of Socerer Mickey's arm extending around Spaceship Earth. The wand said 2000 and later EPCOT in red letters. Many people disliked it. The wand lasted about 6 years. I had nothing against the wand but SSE does have a nice clean slate like appearance now that it is gone.
The building's exterior is amazing. As one of the few things that hasn't completely changed over the years, the glass triangle style and the imagination fountains are a great exterior touch. The fountains are a very famous piece. The ride has been through many changes with the orignial version being the best :( The current ride is good and the Honey I Shrunk the Audience show is funny. Imageworks is a decent postshow attratcion as well. The original ride was quite a bit better than the current one though...
Also known as the Universe of Energy, Ellen's Energy adventure is one of WDW's most underrated rides. The animatronic dinosaurs are great and the ride elements combined with show elements are blended beautifully. Ellen DeGeneres is the "main character" and does a quality acting job. This is one of EPCOT's original attraction and easily worth riding.
Tjihs ride can't be missed. Although the wait can get long at times, it is definaetly worth it. The 4-D effects are amazing!! My applause go out to the Imagineers on this one!
is a great ride but the yeti is 90% of the show please come back :( would get a ten but until mr yeti comes back....
The Narnia attraction had many props and costumes used in the movie. It also led through "Narnia" and there was a presentation thing at the end that was pretty good. An interesting attraction...
I have met a lot of people that do not like this ride but fro some reason I love it! I love the out of control feeling and being scared at the same time. No matter how much I try to tell myself they are AAs I am still scared. I am not going to try and compare this ride to the ride just like it in DLR because I have never been on it and I don't think you should compare something to another when rating it.
Located at the back of the backlot tour, the Earfell Tower is a water tower in the shape of Mickey's ears. Over the years it has undergone numerous paint schemes to keep up with various themes. It was once the main symbol for then MGM studios but is still around now and part of the backlot tour.
Also known as "Dinosaur," coutdown to Extinction is a great but sometimes misunderstood ride. The queue line is unique with plenty of dinosaur remains and info to look at. The storyline is solid and the rovers are a technologically advanced ride vehicle. They use hydraulics to seem out of control. The huge dino animatronics are also stellar. The most common complaint is the noise level which really is quite high. The lines often do get pretty long as well but it's worth riding at least once.
20,000 leagues was a good ride, the submarines were cool but the effects, (fish, plants, ect.) looked kinda fake. The soundtrack was very good but the other effects could have been improved quite a bit. It's still shame that they got rid of it without putting something else in. An extensive refurb could have done wonders. 7.4
Cinderella castle is probably the most reckognized Disney symbol next to Mickey's ears. It is an architectural masterpiece and the center of Magic Kingdom. The castle is pretty much the logo for WDW. The shows on it are good as well. Long live Cinderella Castle!
It's your run of the mill water flume ride with some AAs thrown in so it tells a nice little story. The laughin' place drop is more fun then the plunge into the Briar Patch imo. All in all it's fun but don't count on getting very wet on a hot day. Not worth more than 30 minutes in line.
It's your typical Dumbo ride but on top of a building, that's what makes it fun. It's a very short ride and usually has a long line but if you're not afraid of heights it's a fun ride.
As soon as you enter the line you hear the music and see all of the plants and in the background you hear the screams of people on the ride, you know you're in for a fun ride. Once you get into the lobby the themeing is the best I have seen anywhere. It really sets the mood for the ride. The pre-show is the best at WDW. It really looks and sounds like an episote of the Twilight Zone. Soon enough you're in the boiler room waiting to ride. (again, great themeing in here!) Once you get on the ride you go up a few stories and see a pretty cool illusion. Then you ascend to the top. (13 stories of course!) As you slowly move forward, you anticipate the drop (or launch!) ahead and are in for a fun unpredictable ride. Be sure to take a look at your picture on the way out :D. Afterwards you'll probably want to get right back in line and ride again! Easily one of the best rides anywhere. Must do!
I have heard so much about this ride but after riding it I was very dissapointed. First of all, even the Fast Pass line moved slow so with a FP we ended up waiting 30 mins... then when we got on the ride most of the tests were boring. (loved the one where you go around the turns really quickly though!) The biggest dissapointment of all was the over-hyped high speed test. It may be the fastest ride at WDW, but you def. don't feel like you're going ANYWHERE near as fast as you do on RnRC. (Heck, Big Thunder Mountain feels faster than this!) If you can walk right on it, do it. If not, get a fast pass if you haven't done it before or just skip it.
In a perfect Disney world, Kali River Rapids would be a thrilling, E-ticket attraction. No world is perfect however and this ride fails to live up to its potential. It starts out quite well. The queue is very well themed. There are wonderful artifacts and lots of information about the effects of rain forest logging. Sadly, it all goes downhill from there. Basically, it's a short ride similar to the typical "White Water Canyon"-type attractions at other amusement parks. In this version, there are a few burning logs and nice lanscaping, but not much else. There is a small hill, a couple quick turns and then its over. I am not a big fan of water rides (I don't like walking around in sloshy shoes all day), but I do enjoy them if there is something out of the ordinary is offered. Disney's version is pretty ordinary, aside from the queue theming. In short, unless you are a big fan of getting wet (and even that is hit or miss on the Kali River), skip this attraction. Or (if the line's short) walk through the queue and take in all the neat stuff and then beat it to the exit.
The building's outside is amazing. As one of the few things that hasn't completely changed over the years, the glass triangle style and the imagination fountains are a great exterior touch. The ride has been through many changes with the orignial version being the best :( The current ride is good and the Honey I Shrunk the Audience show is funny. Imageworks is a decent postshow attratcion as well.
Catastrophe Canyon is the highlight of the Backlot Tour. All the effects are well done, you can feel the heat of the fire, it's a classic scene. The scene is perfect for the backlot.
Astro Orbitor resembles Aladin's magic Carpets and Dumbo's flight but is much more thrilling. Located high above Tomorrowland, Astro Orbitor gives a great view of the entire park. The thrill factor isn't huge, but it is a fun ride and an upgrade from Dumbo even though it doesn't have as much nostalgia. Unfortuanatelly, the lines are huge and it takes a long time before one can ride. It probably isn't worth taking a large amount of time away from other stellar attractions at MK, but if the lines happen to be short, it is well worth it.
This is one of my favorite rides on Disney property. The launch is really thrilling and the ride is great and smooth. Themed very well. The only negative is the outdoor part of the line is very boring and can get very hot.
Figment is a rather obnoxious character and this ride was boring. I miss the old one with Dreamfinder.
They need to replace this thing. The effects are bad and you can tell how old the movie is. The preshow is the worst and it scares a lot of young children.. I think it's time for something new.
It's neat to see tomorrowland from the TTA. And going through the rides is cool too. You can even get a glimpse of a parade.
I love this ride, the line is cool with all the blue lights and it feels very realistic. This is the best motion simulator-type ride I have ever been on. (Even though it's nothing like Star Tours or similar rides)
I love this ride. Its starting to get a little old nowadays but its still fun and it's a great place to rest your feet or get out of the sun for 20 minutes or so.
If you are really into the Narnia series, this exhibit is well worth a look. It has some recreations of parts of the sets, a making of movie, costumes and props. For the regular Studios visitor, this is not really a must see attraction. If you have odne everything else, and there isnt a huge line, check it out.
This is the best new attraction in years! Walt would be proud. The 3D is top notch, I try to go a few times each trip.
I miss this one. I remember hopping parks in my teenage years to see this one more time. Might be dated now - but would like to see it again ;(
A must-ride! Very fun! The refurb. really adds to the ride and it looks very nice.
Green Side: 5/10 - It feels just like a regualar motion simulator which really aren't that fun to me. It's not worth a long wait. Orange Side: 8/10 - It seems pretty realistic! The G-Forces are cool but it got me a little dizzy and I don't usually get that after riding rides. The Gs really make your body feel sort of heavy. It's cool but I wouldn't recommend doing unless you feel like you can. Overall: 8/10 - It's a solid ride that's fun and gives you an idea of space flight.
Usually I perfer not going to Fantasyland on my WDW trips as nothing there really appeals to me but this is an AMAZING show! I wouldn't mind watching it several times in a row. The special effects are great and make it worth seeing. It's really just a great show. Worth seeing if only for a little break from the heat.
The shows are great! I wish I could have gone more than once before it closed. Many different rooms and different shows with great interaction with guests. I'll miss you Adventurers Club!
Very cool and amazing show. I've seen similar acts on TV and it's great to see one live and be so close.
We've seen many other Cirque performances and this is a fairly typical one. Personally, I believe they are all overpriced but La Nouba is a somewhat pleasant change if you've spent a lot of time in the parks.
The movie now with Martin Short is great; a major improvement over the old one. The pavilion is beautifully done. Would be nice if the store had Canadian merchandise with Disney characters or logos.
Well done Joe, well done.......This attraction makes me long for more like it- the detail- smooth ride- thrill factor- great story If you have not done this coaster please try it- it won't scare you to badly. Just an overall fun fide with a couple of twists and turns. This coaster is the best I have seen well done Joe, well done....
I did this last year- When you fly over Big Ben in 3-D- amazing! very well done, I also liked it when you went for the magic carpet ride through the streets ,almost makes you a little dizzy but this attraction is a BLAST don't miss it!!!
Without giving too much away, this is a great fireworks display, the soundtrack is good and the finale is superb! Another perk of MNSSHP, if you get the chance see this fireworks show.
Great ride, fun and thrilling. It's hard to believe it only goes about 27 mph! Nothing beats the music in the loading area with the clicking of the chain in the background. I love looking up and seeing the trains zooming by and the stars on the ceiling.
Great family ride, same type of ride as Haunted Mansion or Nemo at Epcot. (Different theme of course) Be sure to get there early when the line is only 10 mins. or so to avoid the hour long lines later in the day.
This is the best waterpark I have ever been to. Summit Plummet is exhilarating, and the place is themed so well. You can tell it's a Disney Waterpark :)
Great special effects, I got more wet on this than Splash Mountain! (That's a good thing :)
Those Dinosaurs are very realistic! Surprisingly this ride scared me more than any of the bigger rides. Certainly an experience you wont want to miss if you are at AK!
This is something you really have to ride, it's great! The 3D effects are great plus the added air effects are great. The line is usually over and hour so be sure to get your fastpasses early!
Space Mountain, Space Ranger Spin, TTA and Astro Orbiter really make Tomorrowland one of my favorites. It looks great at night.
The beginning where they do the special effects was really cool, seeing some of the props and costumes was really cool. Catastrophe Canyon was the best part :)
I wouldn't wait very long for this attraction, you really just put on headphones and listen to noises for 15 minutes. It's alright but I wouldn't go on it again.
Even though you need to arrive 45 or so minutes early to get the best seats this show is worth the wait! The fireworks are great, the water and fire effects are great also, the dragon is really amazing! This is an entertaining and top notch show that you can't miss if you visit Disney's Hollywood Studios
This show in a dark, cozy theater is narrated by AA Mark Twain and Ben Franklin. With elaborate sets, audio, and animatronics, it tells the story of American history (albeit a politically-correct one). The music will move you, the message will make you feel honored to be an American, and the technology will wow you. What makes this show unique, however, is that is deliberately told through the eyes of the common man. During the Civil War scene, a Southern family is getting a picture taken. In the Great Depression, several men are listening to the radio at a gas station. Americans, don't miss it. Non-Americans will think it is over-emotional schmaltz.
This is a concert performed several times a day at the Epcot Morocco Pavilion, featuring a fusion of Middle Eastern and rock music. It will make you wanna dance. However, there is a belly-dancer with such a flat stomach and tiny hips that female audience members will want to shoot her.
And no, by sleeper I don't mean it will make you fall asleep. I mean it is laid back. This attraction is charming, playful, and has one of Disney's most memorable, adorable characters: Figment. You are on a tour through the Imagination Institute. The stuffy scientist is trying to demonstrate how imagination ought to be controlled, but "Figment of the Imagination" is dedicated to proving that imagination should be set free! Yes it's corny, but that's the point. Get in the Disney spririt and enjoy the catchy song, simple yet intriguing technology, and childish theme.
Every time I ride Great Movie Ride I have a different opinion of it. One thing stays the same, however: I don't want to ride it again. It is classic, but that doesn't mean it isn't showing it's age. The sequence in which the car is hijacked can be terrifying for youngsters, as is the alien that emerges from the ceiling to freak out AA Sigourney Weaver. The tour guides are very good, especially in the morning when they haven't recited the script eight-billion times already that day. My main issue with it is how few people under age 25 can identify any movie in this ride other than Wizard of Oz. I wouldn't even know Casablanca or Singing in the Rain existed if it weren't for this ride. The animatronic technology is also weak sauce.
The reason the rating on this is so low is because many of the reviews are from before there were WDWMagic ratings and thus they are given automatic zeroes. Hilarious, juvenile, and playful. It will put a smile on your face.
this shows you every special effect you could ever want and its so interactive
thats really all you can say nobody cant love this park
omg this ride needs to be replaced or redone again
the acrutexture is great but the pavillion could use a makeover
this is a nice relaxing place and is usualy not over croweded
this ride is even more magical with the inhansments
this park makes learning fun
this is the best show on property. the lights sound and water affects make an amazing show.
this is an amazing place to be if you like animals. you get so many close encounters with them
is you like soda this is the place to be. free drinks and is air conditioned. perfict for a hot day.
if yuo have young kids this is a great place because all the main characters in are one spot.
thsi ride is very fun for all
this part of the ride is amazing the affects are incrediable. first the fire then the water comes over your tram. all i can say is wow.
this is my familys favorite ride. i love the costumes and all the actors do a great job
My daughter actually fell asleep in this. Not worth the wait when you have so many other things to do.
I am a HUGE Space Mountain fan since 1981. Side B is the best because of the steepest Bunny Hop towards the end of the ride. I seen what the inside of Space Mountain looked like with the lights on back in 2000 & 2004. I was amaized at how Disney can take a Roller Coaster and put it inside a Building 183 feet high 300 feet in Diameter. I love Space Mountain a True WDW Classic

It really blew me away! Not knowing what to expect, it starts off with a scene from the movie playing, and I'm thinking Oh No! Not a movie! Then the puppeteers come out...and then Aerial herself. Truely heartwarming! Can't wait to see it again!
This had me thinking again "How'd they do that?" Simply amazing with the way Crush interacts with the audience! And the cameo appearance in our show was a very nice surprise!
As a whole, this was our fav ride! The Imagineers are just awesome! We could have rode this all day!
It seemed to me that this area of MK had the most to do and see. There's so much that I loved about this area of the park! MILF, Buzz, Stitch, CoP, Space Mtn...we spent alot of time in this "land."
I loved this! The themeing is great. It was my first time, and rolling down the hallway really threw me off!
I couldn't understand the long wait for this one when the crowds were so light. Seems an awful lot like Snow White. We'll probably skip it on our next visit.
This is something that you should do if it's your first visit. We'll probably skip it next time.
I thought, as we rode past the aquariums and the characters from the movie appeared in front of us. Only Disney could do that!
We loved the Seas! We spent a good part of our day just watching the fish. We all loved seeing the dolphins and rays swim by. Not to mention the Nemo ride and Turtle Talk, plus our favorite restaraunt: Coral Reef.
We were cracking up the entire show! It was very cool having Marty tell 2 of our jokes!
Very photogenic and makes you feel like you're on a movie set.
I thought it was great! I rode by myself. It really made me feel part of the movie, if that makes any sense (probably not.) It does need an update.
Felt kind of silly going on by myself. DW didn't want to get wet (although I only got a little splash) and she thought DD wouldn't like it. Next time I'll be taking them both on. In the end, I was glad I went on by myself. I loved it!
...But cute for the kids, nonetheless. It is mildly scary, but DD wasn't scared of it. We might skip it on our next visit.
From the que to the coaster itself, this ride lives up to it's name and it ROCKS! DW enjoyed more than I, as I don't like loops too much. But it was a thrill!
After riding PoTC, it makes me want to actually watch the movie series. I have not watched them because I am not a Depp fan, but now I just might!
We really felt like we were flying! And the detail when flying over London was spectacular. If you look closely, you can see cars driving down the streets! Simply spectacular from start to finish!
We really liked this area, especially getting to meet Cinderella, Belle, and Sleeping Beauty, then Minnie and Mickey, and then a chance meeting with Mary Poppins. The Barnstormer was also very cool!
That was the first thing I saw waiting entry to the show and it cracked me up! The show is simply amazing and very well done. DD and I were reaching up trying to grab everything, including Donald!
Any real estate or apartments for rent on Main Street USA? Because I would so move in!
This is my happy place! I've never been happier than when I spent 3 days at MK! I want to go back to my happy place!!!!!!!!
Interesting, learning about Norway in this manner. It didn't dawn on me until the other day why the boat goes backwards for so long. (Because that's how Vikings would row their vessels.)
It was so much fun to finally get to ride this classic of all classic Disney rides! We giggled the entire time! Apparently, DD's favorite as she rode it 3 times!
Very educational experience! To learn about the research that Disney/Epcot is involved in was fascinating. Great way to get off your feet for awhile, too.
Great transition from the architecture in Fantasyland to the architecture of Frontierland. And, it's home to our favorite-HM!
I was very disappointed with this ride. The jokes were so lame, and I was so bored, I almost fell asleep (just like ETR). We will skip this on future visits.
What a huge, enormous, gigantic waste of time! DO NOT waste your time here...there's much better things to do at DHS. Like, stand around and do nothing, for instance.
From the pre-show on, this had us cracking up! DW and I are classic Muppets fans. Me more than her, probably. We loved it. It was a great way to start our day at DHS!
...But...it seemed so long! It just went on and on and on. It was neat, but at about the half-way point, I'm thinking it'll be over just around the bend. And then, we'd come into another huge room. And it'd go and on and on some more. It was worth riding, but way too long.
There was so much do to...we only made it through West. We loved the Pizza Game and Fire Safety Game, DD loved making her frog and making music with the robots.
This was my favorite fireworks show! Seeing the globe drift out and come to life was amazing. A must see!
We loved being able to try different pops from all over, even if they did taste nasty! It gives you some insight into what tastes other cultures around the world like.
At least, that's what I was thinking. As the previous poster stated, the Kodak pre-show is just ridiculously long. And the movie seemed very poor quality. How old is the whole Honey movie series anyways? Time to update! Moving on...
I think it's safe to say that this is mine and DW's collective favorite ride. And our DD seemed to love it too...she wasn't scared at all when we rode it in the daytime, and mildly scared during MNSSHP. Our favorite part is the hitchiking ghosts at the end!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
Which she absolutely loved! She made me go on it twice with her, which I was more than happy to do. 2nd ride we got a car with Steelers colors! I do think that the cars could maybe be re-themed a la the Cars movie. And they do move awfully slow, but I understand that with the kids driving.
...That I'd re-visit WS. And only to go to the Mexico Pavalion and on this ride! Very well done...we loved it! It was hillarious!
The only area of Epcot to visit, IMHO. Skip WS and spend the day here!
Frontierland is very well themed. Splash and BTMRR are awesome!
The colors there are amazing! So bright and vivid!
Message on our bus said the show was at 9 PM. We get there at 8 PM to find that it started at 8 PM and was standing room only. We were too far away to see anything. Very disappointed.
My DD could have stayed there all day and commanded the robot to beat on the different objects if I'd have let her. Very neat!
We really, really enjoyed Future World, and missed a large portion to check out World Showcase. Next time, I think we'll be sticking to the FW side and skip WS. WS needs to add more E-tickets, IMHO.
I found it...lacking something. Either I was starting to get tired from a long day, or this nearly bored me to sleep. It could be a lot better. *Yawn*
This was so much fun, especially getting to turn around and see DD and DW both cracking up!
Not our favorite, but we had fun nonetheless. Next time, we can probably combine this park with another, like AK.
I found the carousel in excellent condition. For the amount of riders that pass through everyday, and the amount of beating the horses get from over-excited kids, it is immaculate! Good job to the CM's in upkeeping this attraction!
Bought a misting fan in Canada, and the CM was quite rude. There was next to no water in the bottle, and she would not fill it, or let us, fill it with the ice that the fans were sitting in. She told us not too politely to fill it at the water fountain.
In no way, shape, or form is this better than TSM. We also thought our car jerked around to much when we were moving to get the targets.
When we saw BPB, it was extremely hot. I bet the heat index was well into the 100's. And it showed on the CM's in the parade. I really felt bad for them. They looked so exhausted. I was worried a few were about to drop. There should be some way to modify the performances when it is that hot.
This was DD's first roller coaster ride. We all loved it!!! Can't wait to do it again!
My DD really enjoyed it, thus we did too. Air conditioning would be nice...
On our next visit, the only thing we're heading for in Adventureland is PoTC.
Right up there as one of my favorite things about EPCOT are the all the random street acts. The JAMMitors are awesome! Check out the entertainment schedule insert when you enter the park - there are all kinds of good ones.
Husband and I love this ride - we splashed down on all 3 of the slides over and over! Loved it!
This ride is really cool and fun. No matter what time or month you go { maybe not December } there is always a long line, but the ride is worth it. It's a good long ride and a great way to relax. With music and a classic tale of the Disney Original Movie " Song of The South" who wouldn't like it? Oh and "SPLASH" !
We loved this boat ride/tour and felt it was well worth our time. (so did our feet LOL) Def. take the time to do this "ride" well worth it.
This will always be my favorite ride, I honestly am not sure why. It's just a good old fashion good time. From the crazy inclined people mover walkway to looking at the Magic Kingdom from different ways. In my early years I used to be afraid every time it went into Space Mountain, for fear that I would suddenly be on a roller coaster! It's almost like a little behind the scene's breezy and relaxing tour. I miss the old narrative, and name of course. Good at nighttime too, when youngsters are getting tired by still want to do something.
I wish Disney would use the talent they have to do something special with that prime location in tommorow land.
As expected, fantastic theming throuhgout this excellent ride. A must do for any thrill ride seeker.
Do the intense if you can handle it..just remember to stare forward and ride on an empty stomach. Really fun!
Mr. Toad was really a great MK darkride. The two track idea was brilliant. Gotta love how you end up in a variation of "hell" on both tracks. That's kinda twisted but still funny. I can't say that it was better or worse than Pooh, but they should be able to coexist. (build Pooh were 20,000 leagues used to be?)grr. R.I.P. Mr. Toad
Great ride with great theming. If you want a real thrill try not holding on to the lap bar and lifting your feet off the floor (trust me you won't fly out) it will throw you around quite well. Thank goodness for the padding on the insides of the car. I have to agree with other reviews the back is where it's at. You can request it, you may have to wait for the next train but it is worth it. My favorite of all the mountain rides and maybe overall.
A GREAT PARK.. IT TRULY IS THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I was a child I always made sure I rode this ride before I left the Magic Kingdom that day. I'm sure I would still be riding this attraction today if it were still around. Where else can you take a ride in a submarine and not have to pay a fortune? Was it the best ride, no. But, it did a real good, no, maybe the best job at suspending belief.
One of the original Magic Kingdom rides, If You Had Wings is OLD. The ride is a carefree romp around the world with mostly video screens for the effects. The theme song is really repetitive but it really grew on me. The song does have hypnotic qualities. Love the big Earth globe at the beginning. R.I.P.
Dreamflight was a whimsical, very relaxing dark ride. The sound track was about average but the flying effects were nice. A lot of the theming looked pretty cardboard like, however Dreamflight was a average ride for Disney (outstanding for anywhere else). Buzz Lightyear is an upgrade though.
The horse drawn carriages add a nice theme to Main Street U.S.A. However, there are plenty of other places to experience this. WDW has so many other things that are exclusive to it that this attraction would at least to me, be a waste of time.
We loved the Wishes fireworks display. It gave me chills. The fireworks are so beautiful especially the ones towards the end. The get so big they look like they are going to take up the entire sky. I have told everyone I know that any other fireworks show we go to will never compare. I video taped them and my kids and I watch it all the time.
Thanks to the miracle of Youtube, I was able to experience what people are talking about. It took a couple videos to be able to see what World of Motion really was and honestly, it was a great ride. They just don't make attractions like this anymore. Much resembling Spaceship Earth with a different theme it was packed with animatronics and had a great soundtrack and themesong. It must have been a shame to lose but Test Track is amazing and I still prefer it to World of Motion. It's fun to be free...
I have taken a few of the other higher priced tours and felt like they were trying to fill time to make up for how much we paid for little bits of info and lots of walking....this tour was the exact opposite!!!! The cost of the tour is 14 for ad and 10 for child, but lots of options for discounts. I have walked by the tour desk more times then I can count and thought I should take that tour and this time I did and could not have been more happy! It was a 45min to hour tour that felt almost more like a backstage tour of the Living with the Land attraction then just a tour of the Green House. You get a chance to learn all about the green house and what they are doing there, some might see this as just an expansion of Living with the Land attraction but it is that and more! So if you like the Living with the Land attraction or just like that topic, this is the tour for you!
My hsuband, son and I just got back from WDW and this ride is awesome!!! We had a great time.
El Rio del Tiempo was a great boat ride exploring the culture of Mexico. The song was very catchy and the ride resembles It's a Small World. Not a huge amount of people rode it so I used to be able to stay in the boat and keep riding it. Very relaxing and well done. It was better than it's replacement The 3 Caballeros. Viva el rio del tiempo!
Although I prefer Disneyland's version of this ride, the Magic Kingdom's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is, bar none, the finest themed rollercoaster I have ever been on. Yes, even better, but perhaps not as grand, as Expedition Everest. Imaginative, impressive, and imperial aren't even good adjectives for Thunder Mountain. If you leave Disney without riding, you're doing yourself a great big disservice. And if you've been on it before (like I'm sure everyone on this site has), then you'll simply experience a fantastic blast from the past (the kind that life is just too short of). The exterior appearance of the mountain itself is strikingly lifelike; you would never guess that those mountains aren't real. Standing in line for the attraction is nearly as fun as the ride itself. From the time you're out of the gate, you careen into a dark cavern and are greeted by a hoard of bats. Underground caverns, waterfalls, hidden tunnels, a rockfall, and even a bleating billygoat are just a few sights to see on your journey; rerides are needed to pick up all the details. The coaster is faster than Space Mountain but overall is still a "mild thrill" great for coaster enthusiasts in training. Favorite Portion of ride: The lift inside the collapsing cavern (the train rocks from side to side as it ascends the hill - very cool), the bats, and of course, the mountain.
Who would think this attraction is as old as it is... I am a huge coaster junkie and I really love Space Mountain, right from the entrance queue (where you can "look into space"), to the launch area, to the coaster itself, to the exit along the airport-style moving walkway. If I had to live at Disney, I'd make Space Mountain my home (either that or in the castle, but I'd have to think about that one). The classic tubular steel Arrow-Dynamics-designed coaster is actually quite similar to Disneyland's Matterhorn Mountain attraction. Most of the action is gentle winding rather than giant drops (although there is a "bunny hop" as you approach the lifts midway through the ride which is GREAT!), and of course it doesn't break 28 MPH. But who cares! You're out of the Florida sun, hurtling through the cool darkness with nothing but eerie sounds and the occasional shooting star in space to distract you. This attraction is of course one of the Magic Kingdom's most popular, and fast passing it is a great way to experience it. For the first time rider, standing in line gives you plenty of chances to "take it all in" before riding, which can be just as fun as the ride itself. Great work. Don't change it!
I didn't care for the original version, and I really didn't care for this much-ado-about-nothing remake, either. I found the queue line really really long, and the preshow, although very cute for little ones (and is arguably the only reason to go to the attraction), wasn't enough to make me want to go back. The ride portion was a technological let-down... I found the aquarium water murky and dirty-looking; perhaps that wouldn't have been the case if the bright Nemo digital wasn't superimposed on the tank. And were there supposed to be a lot of fish in the tank? I don't recall there being the dazzling variety of fish that I have seen at other aquariums. I don't know, but the whole effect was just lost on me. Is this Disney imagineering at its' finest? I don't think so. The pavilion is a horrible attempt at something Sea World does a heck of a lot better. My advice - do it once, especially if you have kids; you probably won't care to do it twice. I find this attraction, along with the Imagination pavilion, the most tired at EPCOT and the most skippable. High Points: Seagull animatronics at the entrance, short line during EMT. Low Points: Technologically boring, murky aquarium, kinda depressing
Basically this ride is a complete waste of time. Basically a bunch of lights moving around with some sounds. In summary, this ride stinks.
In my opinion one of the most immersive environments in all of Disney...love the fort...love the caves.
I never got the chance to visit the world when I was a kid so although I’ve been to MK a few times as an adult I’ve never been on the tomorrow land version - but I used to love the same type of ride at the park we visited when I was a kid. So don’t be too down on this one, for it is a kids ride, not an adults. Personally I think it should stay, I for one can’t wait for my kids to have a go next month when we visit :)
I paddled this in 93, gone by the time I returned in 95. I was just as was described by Spaceship_Rob but I remember we also had a CM pacing us by beating a drum which got faster as we came round the top of the island. Actually gave me one of my fond memories of that trip, a kid with loads of character gave a running commentary of all our efforts & had us splitting our sides with laughter. In all honesty I recon it had run it’s time, but I’m glad I got to ride it before it went.
My kids are still a little fussy on this one, but it is a must-see ride. The way it looks at history is just incredible.
Definitely agree on the fast pass! Get it quickly - at the very least so that you can wait in line once and go a second time b/c you're going to want to! We have a really funny look at this ride on YouTube, iTunes and our site at http://www.PipersPicks.TV/?p=5
We did a complete look at this ride with Captain Pipe-Arrrr on PipersPicks.TV! I don't think I can post the YouTube link inline, so you can look there, on the iTunes store, or on our site, PipersPicks.TV. It's a kid's look at the ride in really funny form! http://www.PipersPicks.TV/?p=18
Amazing thrill slide, it never gets old no matter how many time I ride it. When the park first opens claim a spot and immediatley climb the stairs to the Summit and enjoy. Not to be missed.
Been going to Blizzard since it opened and it's always a fun time. Get there as soon as it opens or within the last two hours of operation to avoid long waits on the slides. Speaking of slides, DO NOT MISS SUMMIT PLUMMET it looks high (120 feet) but you will regret when you get home not going on this thing if you don't do it. Teamboat springs is the longest family raft ride in the world and is a blast. Slush gusher is mild compared to Summit Plummet but still packs in thrills on the bunny hops. All three of the slides are located on Mount Gushmore and can be accessed by stairs or waiting in line for the chairlift. The other side of the mountain is where you will find the Downhill Double Dipper (3-D) it's in an enclosed tube and you race the guest next to you. Toboggan racers is an eight laned slide where you race the other seven guests and you see who will hit the finish line first. Snow stormers is unique where you get on a mat sled and go head first down the slalom style course. The backside of the mountain is home to Runoff Rapids, three different tube slides (one enclosed in the darkness) that are always fun. Melt Away Bay is the wave pool that has short bobbing waves continuously, you can get tubes to float around in but they are on a first come, first serve basis so if you want one get there when the park opens. The food inside is the traditional fast food variety, Lottawatta Lodge is where you will find the most variety. This park is not to be missed if you have the extra time to enjoy it.
What can I say but amazing. This ride from the line to the finish is a blast. Let's start with the line, it moves fast usually unless it's a peak time, so you will most likely move past everything quickly but there sure is a lot to look at. Once on the ride it is probably the smoothest coaster i've been on. The backwards portion is what always gets the thrill nod from me. Some people complain about not seeing the Yeti for long enough, but it's supposed to be a myth like "did i really just see him trying to grab me or not?!" But I guess some people don't get it. Overall a new Disney classic, don't miss it. Oh by the way if your staying on the property and happen to be there for an AK evening EMH do it if at all possible. You will be able to walk on this thing as many times as you like in the last hour and a half of the park being open.
The lines can get long in peak times or on a hot day so if you go then hit this thing up early in the day. The ride itself is very entertaining, and you'll be humming the songs for the rest of the day. The final drop is always a thrill and you get some nice views of the MK and contemporary before you plunge. A must do if you are at the MK, be sure to hit the other mountains as well.
Queue can get loud with all the testing being done in there, but plenty to look at while you most likely will be waiting in a long line unless you get there early in the morning. The actually ride, for me personally, leaves me wanting more. Don't get me wrong, the 65mph banked turn is a real thrill, however, the rest of it gets dull after the 50th time. If the line is under 25min, which it rarely is anymore these days, get in line. If not and have a FP window available use it.
Whether you are using it for transportation or some relax time the WDW railroad is a great trip. You'll be able to get some different perspective looks at Splash, Thunder, and Tomorrowland from the rails as you steam around the perimeter or MK. Only complaint is the trip from Frontierland to Toontown is a bit long with little to look at, other than that it's great to be back on the rails.
This is the most relaxing ride you will find anywhere on Disney property imo. Not only is it shaded the whole way, but you have many things to look at. From the castle to the inside of space mountain it is a must do. The next time you need a break from the crowds in MK head to the TTA and hop aboard the metroliner.
We all know it's dated and needs some TLC but it's still fun. It rarely has a line unless it's at a peak time of the year so if it has a 5 min wait or less hop in line. Now if only they could find a better star pilot than Rex, he always gets me lost.
Ak's signature attraction is surely not to be missed. The vehicles get so close to most of the animals (and sometimes the animals stop the vehicles because they sit in the road) it really is an amazing attraction and must be experienced to fully appreciate it. A tip for guests wanting to see the animals actually move around, go right when the park opens and it is still cool out, the animals will be moving around instead of sitting in the shade on a hot afternoon.
Pros : No lines. Cons : Everything else. They really ruined this pavillion, it used to be such a cute ride with dreamfinder and figment. Ok so it's slightly better then when there was no figment at all on the ride, but come on. If you have extra time and little ones head over to the Imagination Institute.
A must do if you even remotely like roller coasters. The line can get long during the afternoon so i suggest hitting this ride early in the morning or during parades/fireworks. The theming on this coaster is next to none. Oh and you might want to sit next to someone you know cause you'll be bouncing into your ride partner quite a few times. If you have the chance ride it at night time, you won't regret it.
Get you Fast Pass as soon as you enter the park. This is truely one of the best Disney Attractions ever.
Bottom line, my 6 year old loves this, therefore...we love it! :) It could use some more spunk for sure, but still worth it!
Pure fun for the kids, we ran out and around a few times, they loved it!!! The "scenery" is just awesome, very very cool!
I love taking first-timers in here and "conning" them into trying the Beverly. I actually grab some in front of them and give the "wow, this is great look" so at least I wallow in their misery first, lol... The kids absolutely love to go in there to so it is a place we always visit on our trips to EPCOT.
Great theme and awesome ride. You can't miss this what ever you do.
Brings back memories of a long time ago when everything was fun. It's the happiest place on Earth!
Entertaining and Thrilling! You will get wet. That's all right.
Excellent upgrade to a once-boring pavilion. It now gets both kids and adults interested in our oceans and sea creatures and makes them want to learn more about them.
I love this ride. I tihnk they did an excellent job in taking a rather tired and dated attraction (El Rio del Tiempo) and injecting some much-needed new life into it, while reviving characters from one of the more obscure "Walt-era" animated features and reintroducing them to new audiences at the same time. Despite what some think, El Rio wasn't really that educational or a masterpiece. The 3 Caballeros and Epcot's Mexico pavilion are a perfect match and something that I think Walt himself would've done.
From queue entrance till the gift shop exit this is an amazing attraction. The preshow is well done preparing us for whats to come. After you step out into the alleyway you'll catch your first glimpse of the beast, be sure to watch but remember to keep moving with the line, no stopping! The ride itself is great, however the launch is what I keep coming for. The music is loud and rocking the whole trip through Hollywood, with 3 inversions for good measure. My only complaint, it's a bit to short for me but we don't always get what we want. Great roller coaster, disney did a great job bringing this beast in.
This is a great thrill ride, not only in the movement of the vehicles, but the animatronics are amazing. The pre-show is always funny and the loading area gives you a sense of adventure. The ride is in complete dark with close encounters with some big teeth. remember to smile for the carnotaurus =). ps. to previous poster, you rate it a 1....but you haven't ridden it because you are afraid? awesome judgement.
The pavilion has a great feel to it, with the itallian music in the air and the smell of great food. The showcase players if always fun to catch here, maybe you will be Romeo or Juliet? Stop in and find out. Ciao.
The railroad set to the right side the of pavillion is sure to capture attention of the little ones as they watch the train glide by villages (look for mickey in a window). The shops are fun to look around as well, don't miss the cinderella's castle made of crystals in one of the stores. Want to take it home? $37,500 please.
Disney has captured France in all it's romantic splendor. From the old style buildings to the eiffel tower replica in the back it's wonderful. Be sure to stop in at the pastry shop and get some authentic treats before illuminations. If your old enough, get a grand marnier slush at the cart towards the front.
Take a stop in and walk around the pavillion and if you have exra time watch the acrobats perform towards the front. Also stop by at the cast member with the chinese yo-yo's and give it your best shot.
One of my favorite pavillions. If you even like steaks a little bit, make sure to *try* and grab an ADR for Le Cellier, amazing steaks (and amazing soup). The redone O' Canada with Martin Short is very good. The sights of Canada in circlevision is awesome, with a little humor provided by Mr. Short. The gardens in the back are nice to walk through on your way out of the show. Be sure to spend a little time North of the border.
Simply a classic. The island can be a nice break from the busy streets of the Magic Kindom. The barrel bridge is a favorite ever since a young kid, as well as the countless caves you can explore. However, keep a close eye on your kids in there I've seen many kids lost inside as it is a big dark maze. Other than the obvious *watch your kids please* the island is a lot of fun. Don't forget to head to the fort and watch the riverboat steam on by Thunder Mountain.
After you get off Simba 1 head for the Pangani Trail. It offers animals not featured on the actual Kilamanjaro Safaris, which imo are a must see. The gorillas are wonderful to just stand and watch for awhile. The theming that went into this area is great. Kids will love taking a fish guide from a cast member and trying to locate them all in the ponds before the gorillas. This is a must do at once a trip at AK, it is truely awesome.
Amazing, where do I begin. The walking tour takes you along a journey of Walt's life, it is themed like you are walking a timeline. There are displays with what is being said from that year. Such as a replica of Walt's office in the 50's, the EPCOT Center planning center, and model replicas of some of Disney's best attractions. At the end of the walking tour is a 15 minute film of Walt's life, narrated by the man himself. It's a must see.
Of the two trails, I would say this is the best one. Not only are the signature Tiger's included, but you get to see komodo dragons along the way. These are amazing creatures (and BIG) a sight to behold when the biggest lizard you've seen is a garden gecko. The themeing is well done and is a nice relaxing walking tour of some of Asia's wonderful animals.
It's probably more fun than the ride imo. In all seriousness, the electronic music stations are a blast to wave your hand around and have it translate into musical notes. The photo stations are cool to send photos to your e-mail address, albeit with some figment alterrations. Take a stroll around once and something will catch your eye. Not nearly as good as the old image works used to be, but if you try to forget about that you won't be disappointed.
Always fun to go in a try the cokes from around the world. Only other place is in Atlanta where they have the world of coke so it's fun to be able to do it in EPCOT. Personally, I miss the ice cave that we used to be able to walk through, but I can see why it was scrapped. Go in and try the Mezzo. Cheers.
The playground has been around a long time but still catches kids eye when they walk by and see the larger than life backyard. It's right next door to the studio catering co. so after lunch let the kids run around.
I remember popping in the quarters wanting to shoot the train going by when I was a little kid. I still have to stop by on my way to the mountains to have a round or two. Try it once at least, a classic.
Been going ever since it opened and it is still awesome. If you love video games or virtual reality, this is a must do. Buzz's astro blasters is my personally favorite attraction inside, followed closely by cyberspace mountain. Pirates if also not to be missed, but get there early because lines fill up fast if you go at peak times or if it's raining out. The arcade games are also a lot of fun on the 3rd and 4th floors, however i wish they didn't remove most of the shooting games like time crisis. If you have the extra time and cash, I would recommend doing Disneyquest, even for half a day you can get almost all of it done at value season.
It's a shame what has become of the backlot tour. Ever since LMA has gone in a great bulk of the tour was ripped out, let alone no more live filming being conducted. However, it still is a nice respite after lunch to take in. The pearl harbor scene is always fun to watch the guests participate and see their reactions. The warehouse with all the old movie props is also great. Tram tour is ok, CC is still a blast. If you have some extra time hit up the old tram.
Pros : Overall great theming and great story telling. Amazing special effects (glass breaking). The AA for this one was so realistic. Cons : Replaced with Stich.
This ride is one of the best and most classic rides in the MK. While there are "wall-to-wall spooks," it is not too scary for young children. The new bride has made it a bit scarier because the way she looks and eerieness of her voice. But it is still all good Disney fun. This ride is a definite must-see on your nest Disney trip.
Like I said, it's okay. If you enjoy learning some on your Disney trip, definitely go in. This is a good ride to do if it is raning because it will kill about 15-20 minutes. For me, I'm not a big fan.
This ride is definitely a must-do. It is fun for all ages and is wild and tame at the same time. The scenes are great and the track is fun. You will not want to miss it on your next Disney trip.
Rode this ride July 4th weekend. Talk about crowded. Use fast pass or single rider line. Much faster. Only draw back you don't experience the great queue. Mr. Potato Head was great. You see all the games you played as a child, if you're a baby boomer. Kids these days wouldn't know what half those games are. The ride itself was amazing. It's not 3D but 4D. Air blows on you when the plates break and we got rained on playing darts. My advice is to work out before you go. You get so involved in the ride, your arm gets tired pulling the launch string at such a rapid pace. Once it's over, you can't wait to get back on to beat your score. 100x's better than Buzz Lightyear over at MK. Can't wait to go back.
If your going to Animal Kingdom and want a thrill packed suprise ride this is it. {But Dinosour is a close second} First, it depends on what time you go. If you go on in the morining when there isn't a line ride right away and grab a fasspass and ride the ride agian. When the time comes for your fasspass you will be able to cut a really really long line. If you go at night or in the afternoon, you will have to wait a very very very very long long long long line. Ok back to the ride. You will feel nervous when you first enter Animal Kingdom and see the Himalays sticking up and hearing kids scream. When you get back there in Aisia, you will be bored very very fast and you will take off. I got the pleasure to get the front row seat in the train. You are supposed to be going to have a nice day in the Himalayas that is until the yeti, the abonimal snowman knows your here. He's hungry and he wants to eat YOU! After you take a decant slow ride you hear the yeti then the ride goes super super super duper fast and then you come to a STOP! The train tracks have been torn apart by the yeti! After looking at all 4 parks from an amazing view, the train speeds in reverse. you see a few suprises and after that, your in pitch black darkness. After it feels like you've done a loop, although you haven't, you ride around some more and then are done. This ride a the #3 ride the world voted out of all 4 theme parks. This ride is a must. If you have a scared child { or grown up} do a baby swap. Tell the seater you are doung a baby swap. You and the kid that wants to go on ride rides it. Then when they are done they go to the front of the ride and tell the people if they will like the ride. If he/her does you can all ride together. Again I will say Expition Everest is the best ride in Animal Kingdom
The best show I ever saw in any theme park was "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" at the Studios park. The show was closed about 4 years ago supposedly to make room for the Motorcars stunt show - which is expensive trash. "Hunchback" was superior in every technical and performance aspect. Staging, story, scenery, costuming, and especially the music were close to perfection; but more importantly, the story as presented was uplifting and important. It was the most human and powerful message I have received in any theatre venue, and the highlight of my WDW visit every time (8 in five years). Those who saw "Hunchback" know this is not an exaggeration. I was touched and entertained during every performance I saw, and was moved to reflect on the miracle of our shared humanity. Walt would have been very proud of "Hunchback". Without a doubt, If he were alive today, it would still be running. No other show at Disney has come close. "Festival of The Lion King" is excellent. "Nemo" is excellent, also. "Beauty and the Beast" is okay like Six Flags shows are okay. "Indiana Jones" is amusing, but tired. "Motorcars" is a giant effort to fill space and time by blowing things up. It is 40 minutes lost from your life that you'll never get back. Finding Nemo is excellent entertainment for a wide range of audiences. It is big, clever, expensive, well conceived and produced. Get thee (and all those you love) to the theatre on your next visit! I sincerely hope there will always be room for this form of entertainment in the Disney mix. I have just learned that the "Pocahontas" show is being closed. Even this simple show had value and worth and communicated an important conservation message that Animal Kingdom claims as its own. I am confused as to why the shows can grow old and shopworn in the eyes of Disney management, while classic rides just require refurbishing. Even the venerable and fun Diamond/Golden Horseshoe Revue was dumped. We got nothing for its loss, except a place to purchase Wonderbread sandwiches and potato chips. Sheesh! Here's hoping robots don't replace humans everywhere in our lives.
Though this two-at-a-time racing slide won't be the highlight of your B-Beach day, you still shouldn't miss out. It's quick, scream-inducing, and uber-competitive. Lightweight riders may enjoy airtime as the exit the enclosed portion and hit the hump.
Hate this! All this wimp turns out are bobbing waves that disturb people relaxing in tubes, but offer no challenge to body surfers. It's dull, freezing cold, badly-located, and has cottage cheese floor that gave me several deep cuts when I fell down.
Sorry, I ruined my context with one wrong word: I meant PARENTS might want to get in on the fun.
This out-of-the-way splash zone is the B-Beach area intended for kids under age 6. It has twisty, turning slides, a variety of large water toys, and a snowy playground. It's well-designed with plenty of space for parents to relax while the kids play. However, the kids may want to get in on the fun as the squishy pool flooring is the most comfortable footing at Blizzard Beach. Also, the porcelain-smooth water jets are a technological marvel for all ages.
This undulated zip down Mt. Gushmore is easily the best water park attraction in Orlando! The combination of water, speed, and light makes for an almost disembodied feeling. It's simple, short, and exhilirating. I am terrified of heights, but closing my eyes fixed this issue and actually made it feel faster. If you're lightweight, you may get airtime on the last hump. Not to be missed. I'd give it a higher Rating if the computer would let me.
Firstly: if any member of your party has sensory problems, bypass TSM. It is stimulation overdrive from the moment you enter. Aside from the overload of data your brain will receive as you whirl through various 3-D midway games, Toy Story Mania is very child-friendly. Nothing ugly, mean, or scary will jump out at you, though it is incredibly loud. If you've played Battle for Buccaneer Gold at Disney Quest, you are already familiar with TSM's technology - complete with cannons. Overall, however, after the elaborate queue, complete with over-sized crayons and that crowd-pleasing Mr. Potato Head figure, the ride let me down a teeny bit. It wasn't as personal or immersive as other Disney rides because when you turn corners, you get a clear view of the other riders. Don't let me stop you from riding, though. You'll have a blast. It's a colorful whirlwind in which you'll meet up with some of the most lovable characters from Toy Story 1 and 2. It'll probably make you laugh with ectasy. At the very least, you'll leave smiling, beaming like a kid.
This ride is great for AK. The attention to detail in the lineup areas is nice and the ride itself is exciting.
This ride is okay if you can walk on (if you visit in early to mid December). The whirl on the track is probably the only fun part. I'd likely be less negative about the ride if it wasn't a GM sponsored attraction; when's the last time a GM vehicle inspired any fascination?
It wasn't my favorite, it was actually the very first Disney ride I rode this holiday. I rode Buzz Lightyear riht after and was dissapointed. Stitch is my favorite Disney character, and though I agree they could have done more with the character. Look how huge he is these days! IMO Stitch is the biggest original Disney character created since...........wow going way back probably to like Dumbo or something haha. At the very latest Lion King. Anyways, the ride had a few plot glitches, but I really enjoyed it. I didnt get to experience Alien Encounter but still thought it was a great ride.
Horizons was the, by far, most elaborate attraction EPCOT had to offer and is until today the one that is most missed. The combination of different elements, the omnimax screens, the ride into space. Breathtaking. Disney management is actually insane, that they demolished it instead of updating it. If you didn't see Horizons you really missed something no Disney-ride has to offer. Period.
Overall I preferred Typhoon. Blizzard Beach had the better family raft ride by FAR! Also for the most part Blizzard had better slides overall (although the Crush Gusher blew anything Blizzard Beach or any other waterpark I've been to away). Blizzard Beach had a younger, more attractive crowd, and the creek was more scenic and fun (love the crocodile). But Typhoon had the FAR superior wavepool and just overall there were literally no waits at all except Crush Gusher which was minimal. Blizzard Beach had long waits for the chairlift, Summit Plummet and the family raft ride. Summit Plummet was much better than Humonga Cowabunga which I like to call Humonga Cowawedgie
Long wait even with FastPass but the ride itself is much longer than most roller coasters. Lots of cool visual effects and a decent ride to boot. The line-up area was at least interesting to see.
The overall tour was excellent. The opening exhibits were neat to look at, but the video I'm petty sure was right off the Pearl Harbour DVD lol. The demonstration with the water was neat, sure would have liked to be in it though. The prop warehouse was cool but everyone was moving so fast didint really get a chance to see too much. The ride itself was alright, mostly Catastrophe Canyon was the highlight. I guess because Ive done the Universal California backlot tour twice now that Im a bit spoiled. Other than that we saw a few fighter jets and rode through the Wardrobe tunnel, nothing special. We also saw the Lights Motors Action set but nothing was happening as I'd missed the last show (Actually I made it but it was sold out). The hosts spiehl about it made me want to see it, but alas;
Surprising because it was about 10PM on I believe a Saturday when I stumbled upon Boardwalk looking for the ferry from EPCOT to MGM.....Okay, I'll admit I'd had a bit of brew at the German pavillion lol. Anyways, Dance Hall looked nice, very elegant, the videos they were playing for the five minutes I stayed were not bad. The Door Man was friendly blowing bubbles for kids outside, but he did check my ID. Only a handful of people in there, nobody dancing or anything. Looked pretty vacant. It looked alright from the outside though.
Really enjoyed Expedition Everest, but it wasn't my favorite. The Jungle Trek was great also. But Khali River Rapids SUCKED! It was so short, and boring. I mean you got wet, but that was about it. Maybe it's because I was expecting more along the lines of Grizzly River Run at DCA which was incredible. The Popeye ride at Universal IOA was far better IMO.
Aside from the Safari it really doesnt have a whole lot of attractions to offer. TBH, I found Animal Kingdom had a real lack of attractions, and for some reason that day I was in more of a busy mode than on prior visits to the MK where I was more relaxed, so I was out of AK by about 4 PM that day after being there for rope drop. I did safari, Khali River Rapids (Twice, oh man what a let down), EE, Nemo the Musical, both Dinoland USA rides, Dinosaur, Festival of LIon King, It's Tough to be a Bug and ate at Pizzafari. I also did one of the two Exploration trails, the one in Asia, Panjani i think. Anyways Africa had some cool shops and restaraunt as well as some neat street performers (Which I didnt get to see much of). The bongo drums were an okay touch too.
I remember Adventureland being amazing when I was a young'n back in 92 or so. We went back in 2001 and Indiana Jones basically took over the landscape. Adventureland in WDW (which I visited this year) didnt have as much of a Jungle feel as towards the back end it became more like New Orleans Square, with the PotC attraction. That being said PotC is still a classic, the adding of Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush didnt do much for me, changed a LOT of the original dialogue. The new Tiki Room was lame. Number one the Disneyland original Tiki Room was much better; and number two if they're going to have Zazu, at least get Rowan Atkinson to voice it. I did crack up at Iago's HoP joke at the end though. Swiss Family Treehouse is a nice diversion and a good spot to take photo's, but its not worth a long wait. Jungle Cruise is great as always but it always depends on the skipper. The Shrunken Neds Jungle Boats looked pretty boring, but the squirting Tiki Statues were a nice touch. I didn't ride Aladdin as I generally avoid cycle rides because of the awful long line-ups. The camel's were neat and the ride itself was nice enough to look at. The employees in Adventureland were some of the more comical I found (even down to the Street Sweepers).
I didnt actually have time to see hardly anything here as I left it til near the end of the night and was just burning time to use my Aerosmith FP. I was dissapointed I missed Mermaid however. I did the walk through portions of both WD One Mans Dream and Magic of Disney Animation. Looks nice though. I was there in mid-April so not sure how well it blends in with the Toy Story area.
In the original plans of DAK the Kali River Rapids were called Tiger River Rapids. An E-Ticket attraction in the new Asia area featuring real tigers and other wild animals and lots of thrills like threatening tree logs. Then for budget reasons this magnificent idea was downsized to a much shorter and less elaborated cheap version - and it shows. It is quite a nice ride but nothing special and THAT'S not the Disney-way. If you have to wait more than 30 minutes use FP or skip. It's not worth a longer wait.
The content and quality of the show is still superb, but the film is not holding up well. Noticeable vertical dark streaks and occasional fuzz. Hopefully Disney converts this to digital projection soon.
In my opinion, this was the attraction that made EPCOT what it was. Spaceship Earth may be the largest, but this was easily the best. A trip through the future - both classic visions of the future and real possibilities of the future - were presented in a unique style with a ride system we had not seen before and have not seen again. Gorgeous presentation in portions of the ride, such as the OmniMax Theater, added to the depth of the attraction. What really MADE Horizons was that it was a truly innovative attraction. It led the way for other effects in other rides, including the environmental smells at Soarin', The interactive "choose your own adventure" ending that was duplicated (poorly) for Spaceship Earth, and attraction audio and video syncing used throughout many attractions today. I still can't figure out exactly why this attraction was finally torn down. It was so innovative that it was rumored that Horizons would even make an appearance at other Disney theme parks across the world. The pavilion that replaced it is fun, but it doesn't offer the same depth in an experience. The recent Spaceship Earth refurbishment attempted to fold in elements of Horizons, but in my opinion they are mediocre at best. Long live Horizons - I've got a lot of great memories. If you can dream it, you can do it!
The Living Seas was a true Epcot original and a classic. The themeing and background music was impeccable. The queue area was full of interesting artifacts and a unique preshow that was projected on the walls around you. The pavilion's movie, "The Seas", featured beautiful cinematography, striking narration, and a superb sound system. The Hydralators were a key element of the attraction; as a kid, I thought I was actually being taken under water. The sea cabs were a nice ride, but the real star of the show was Seabase Alpha. It *felt* like an undersea station. The diving exhibitions, the interactive kiosks, the diving suit games, and more made this a place that you could easily spend an hour or more at. I would have given it 10, but my one knock against the place is that at times it almost seemed like there was too much to experience there. But at the end of the day, it was a classic Epcot pavilion that offered an unparalleled edutainment experience.
I'm an old school kind of Epcot guy, so compared to The Living Seas, this version leaves a lot to be desired. The new ride portion of the pavilion is pretty cool, with great effects, and I think kids will love it, especially if they are fans of Nemo. The aquarium portion, however, is a shadow of what it once was. It's now monotone and boring. The only truly interesting attraction here is Turtle Talk with Crush. Adults can easily skip The Seas and not miss much of anything. Families will want to bring the kids to at least experience the ride and Turtle Talk.
Not just a normal log ride. Caution: you Will get wet
Loved the wave pool. The waves were gentle enough for the kids. Did not have to worry about harsh waves knocking them over. Pool big enough that we did not feel it was crowded
We all loved the waterpark! Great rides, loved the lazy river and wave pool. The first couple hours it was opened was the best, hardly any crowd.
ST was once a DHS classic and a must-do, one of the best rides of the park. ONCE! However it is definitely and severely dated now, the SFX are from the late 80ies and it shows. I only did ST once during my last stay in 2007 and I don't think I will do it again. I don't know if I would have done it at all if ST wouldn't feature fastpass and spared me from long waits. I heard WDI is working on a new version, that is actually overdue. Do it however if you don't know it yet, if you see it for the first time, despite the dated SFX, it's still worth a try.
great way to get to the parks from the hotel. its quick and easy , and you get a shorter line

its not the best club at disney. over crowded, too loud unless your young like me, you wont enjoy it
I did a 9:30AM tour in early May 08. Arrived at the park before it opened and there was a looooooooooong line, but if you just head over to the right, you can simply tell them you are there for the tour and they let you right in. The reason I mention this is because if you can do this before the park opens, you get into the park when there are about 50 people in it. That in itself was just as good as the tour! I was able to get pictures on Main Street and in front of the Castle with NOBODY in them! It was like a ghost town! Also, I was able to do all my shopping on Main Street and send it all back to my room BEFORE the park even opened. So this is something to take advantage of if you can get the 930 AM tour. Checked in at City Hall and got our ear pieces and passes. I forget our guides name, but he did mention that he worked in guest relations and normally didn't do the tours. However, he was very knowledgeable although it sometimes felt like he would only provide information if you asked specific questions. Most tour guides point out things and give info even if people don't ask questions. It seemed he only talked about things in detail if we pressed him on it. Overall, it was an interesting tour and neat to get to see how the magic happens and why. Although its glaringly obvious that WDW has attention to detail bar none, once you do the tour, you will see that their attention to detail is beyond the average person's comprehension. You learn as a fact that they really do think of everything. Lunch was a the Columbia Harbor House and was good. They rope off a private area upstairs so you can eat in peace ;) Plus they give you trading pins you can only get if you do this tour. You can hear fine through the ear pieces as the tour goes through. I'd say the range was easily 30 feet although sometimes you can get a little static if you wander away from the group too much. But for the most part, it was easy to follow along as a group and list to the guide even though you were intermingling with regular part foot traffic. I would have given it a 10 if my guide was a little more forthcoming, but there is no doubt this tour was worth the $60.
Is it worth it... yes. Some love it, others like me would rather go do ToT or Star Tours than sit and wait for 45 minutes for the show to start.
This is one of those things for me that I never miss on my trips to Disney World. I love this show so much, and you have to see it to see why.
This attraction could really stand some updating. Now that the the actual "backlot" streets are gone, there really is very little left to see. The pre-show is fun, but could stand some updating as well. It's a nice ride if Its a hot day and you've been on your feet all day long.
HI: This is my first time and i would appreciate anyojne who won't judge me about riding this Disosaur ride.. I am 45 years of age, i love going to Disneyworld but my wife insists about going on this ride.. I have seen it on you tube a few times and it looks very scary.. I don't have a problem with dark rides in general but if a disnosaur is going to be right next to me, I don't want to have a cardiac arrest on the spot.. She thinks i am being a "woos" perhaps but i am trying to mentally prepare myself to go on when we arrive next month.. Thanks for any suggestions...
Kind of a let down after the long wait to ride, but fun on a nice day!
I had the opportunity to ride this ride one week before it was open to the public, and all I have to say is that I was severely disappointed in the fact that Alien Encounter was replaced with this horrible excuse for an attraction. Now don't get me wrong, the audio-animatronics were amazing, but the attraction itself left much to be desired. Stitch's Great Escape just can't compare to Alien Encounter; a ride that was always my favorite WDW attraction. Alien Encounter was a great experience for the older WDW fans who could handle the thrills of the attraction. The warnings were put there for a reason, so the ones(especially the young children) who complained about the attraction being too scary have no excuses. Alien Encounter had a creative story; Stitch did not. The pacing was horribly done and the storyline was just way off. I know they were aiming for an attraction to appeal to younger kids, but even so, I heard kids crying about how scared they were in Stitch's Great Escape. Heck, I wanted to cry over how horrible the experience was. My only hopes now is that someday Alien Encounter will be revived and returned to one of the WDW parks, so all of us AE fans can once again enjoy such an incredible, out of the ordinary, thrilling attraction.
Well what could I say about this ride? A lot of good things. There is not as much things to do in AK comparing to other parks in WDW but Expedition Everest is the number one thing to do while you are visiting AK, and it's one of my favorite rides in WDW. I go every year to WDW and this is one of the rides that "I have" to do. This ride is worth getting the Fastpass or waiting patiently for around 90 minutes (depends when you visit). I went n it 3 times and I get a fast pass first thing when you get there.
I guess if you remember that the previous "movie" was a yawn and a half, this would be considered a major upgrade. Ultimately it is a nice effect and a cute ride for kids, but I wouldn't wait in line to do this. Go early, get it done, and move on. There is no reason to make this a fastpass ride because once the novelty wears off the lines will be manageable.
After hearing all of the hype I was really looking forward to this show. Unfortunately I left thinking that the show was OK, but not great. What it really comes down to is that the music was not all that great. The costuming and puppets were all very well done, but a musical show is only as good as its material.
I could go on and on... but to sum it up I'll say this. Wonderfuly unique and innovative. A special experience that never leaves you. No where on earth like it can you experience so much culture and fun at the same time.
What do you say but, "How in the world did Disney ever get rid of such an awesome addition to Epcot?" This parade was one of the coolest and most unique parades I've ever seen. It left my husband and I with the feeling of Disney magic when it was over and not too many can accomplish that. Epcot so needs this parade back!!
awesome park with awesome rides. stake out your claim early as it gets crowded
great, clean water park. awesome rides. i love how they have the surf thing so i can bring my board and attend a clinic. but stake out your spot early as it gets crowded
on my last trip, i felt like one of my most fav. clubs was gone. i enjoyed the surfer atmosphere and the vintage music. my parents liked it bc it brought back memories. this was the first night club i ever went to, and its a shame it closed :(
great rest. in it, awesome to watch some baseball during training
by far one of the best comedies shows i have ever seen. awesome actors, great participation
one of my fav. clubs that i go to when at wdw. its fun for teens because its more like a show then a club. great fun, and great participation things, awesome cast
I was too scared to go on this when i was 8. But when i was 10, i was lucky to be able to come back to Orlando to try the stuff out that i was too scared to do. Loved every minute of this ride, and since then ive been here 3 more times. Never get bored of Disney. Or Tower of Terror. Best ride anywhere!
It was hilarious. It was interactive between monsters and audience. We didn't know what it was all about until we were inside. Monsters should be careful though that some people don't like to be on the spot. You can enjoy once and have a great time but I wouldn't want to go twice.
The best ride ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My four year old was amazed by the characters and the beauty, but she was quickly bored with the ride itself. She really likes faster rides. I rode with her and enjoyed the music and the light breeze. I would skip it if you don't have much time.
Although my 4 year old daughter was a little frightened by the speed and loud noises, we all thought it was a fun ride. Visually, it is just beautiful-a notch or two under Spalsh Mountain's theming, but still very good. Even people who don't enjoy thrill rides would like this one!
The best live show in WDW. I cant understand how its not 10/10 the show is amazing and a must see for all ages.
I loved Nemo and thought it was very well done. Like in the broadwat musical, Avenue Q, the puppeteers aren't hidden from the audience and it is really neat to see them working. I actually found my eyes drifting to the puppets most of the time though. The set was well done and the music is very catchy. In my opinion it beats the Lion King show because you actually get the feeling that you are seeing the characters and not just acrobats and dancers. This show has all of the magic I expect from disney.
i was absolutely petrified of roller coasters til i went on this! its seriously cool! i could ride this all day!!! its cos of this ride that my fave park is mgm (sorry, hollywood studios!)would recommend this ride 4 those a bit scared of the whole upside down thing cos theres so much 2 look at as u go round that u dont really notice which way up you are!
I am sorry it is gone. It was way better than the Honey shrunk show. But it was lost during the random destruction of that area of future world. The got Fingment too....shame
This is the worse 3-D show we've ever seen. The storyline draggs laborously. Even with the glasses on, the screen images are unclear/double vision at times. The Kodak preshow is painfully long. Though Epcot's our favorite park, we bypass this show and would suggest using your time at another attraction.
My family and I love this ride. A really nice, beautiful way to cool off and take it easy.
Great themeing, but really didn't meet expectations, especially from a Disney ride. It's WAY too short. Not nearly as exciting as the setup/que experience would suggest. Popeye Barges at Islands of Adventure is MUCH better. Wouldn't wait anymore than 30 minutes to ride. Not a bad ride, just way below Disney's usually high standards IMO.
This "ride/show" is one of my very favorite in the Magic Kingdom. Not only does it have "Uncle Walt's" hands all over it (right down to the voice narrating it" but the animatronics, theme and purpose are all wonderful. It seems a little jokey now since the "future" portion is not where we are, but the beginning scenes from the early 1900's and into the 1950's is great. Like watching life history play out before you. I highly recommend this for adults who have an appreciating for history and the beginning of animation entertainment.
This is the definition of a good-spirited show. It's punny and energetic and it changes every time - if only a little bit. However, if you get the jokes that you texted on a show, and then see it again but your jokes don't get in, you can't help but feel dissapointed. The technology is troublesome, but it gets better each day as Disney/Pixar work out the kinks in this advanced presentation.
This show is not well-paced and you won't understand a moment of it if you haven't seen the movie, but it's absolutely charming. The effects are simple, but that's what makes them great. The live puppeteering is always a treat and the actors are pretty enthuisiastic considering that they do the same show every 25 minutes or so. The storyline could pull at the heartstrings of a teenage punk.
I consider the Muppets to be the best show in Disney and the #2 attraction overall. The array of special effects are dazzling, the preshow is the most creative and the funniest at any theme park, and it's all light-hearted fun. The 3D technology is beginning to show its age, but the experience is so immersive you'll forget that quickly.
Spaceship Earth was a good ride, with animatronics ... and tells the story of communication from the cave man to the future. Each vehicle now has touch screens ... I don't want to give it away ... but let's just say, it makes this ride a perfect 10. The animatronics are great. I suggest hitting this ride any time in the evening ... as most people hit this ride first ... since it is the first thing they come across. These days, I would suggest getting a Fastpass for Sourin ... if that is a ride you want to see. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
I was able to check out this ride last week ... and it was a lot of fun. For the grandparents, they liked the cute pre-show (which will fill in those unfamiliar with Monsters Inc) on background for the show. It makes waiting for the show entertaining. The theatre is big, colorful and interactive. It's family humour here, so not all of the jokes are "knee slappers". Best of all ... the wait times are typically not bad for this ride ... /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
If you have been on "River Rapids" rides before, you have been on Kali Rapids. The theming is okay ... but as elaborate as it is ... at the core, it is a short river ride, with few thrills. Out of 8 people each tube sits, 2 will get completely drenched, usually by a gusher right at the beginning of the ride. If you ride this later in the day, you will likely have no wait --- I would hate to wait more than 30 minutes for this ride. There is one little hill which is kind of like a slide ... this was one unique aspect of an otherwise generic ride. It would have been cool to go inside a place, or see some sights on the way ... but it is over way before this is possible. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\ PS - My 4-year old was also horrified by the ride ... I think it was the water ... and she was scared of the unknown. I didn't expect her reaction because other thrill rides did not cause the same reaction.
Hey ... Pooh's Playful Spot was obviously not designed for adults ... it's for toddlers. For my 2-year old and 4-year old ... they would have stayed here a long time if we had not pulled them away. Disney has cleverly hidden fans around the parimeter to cool down adults as they watch their kids frolic. The area is pretty simple ... so only younger children will find it interesting. There could be more slides, and more sprayers -- but it is a cute little area as-is. If you are waiting for a Fast Pass time, or a place to do something with a younger sibling who does not meet height requirements ... it is in a nice and central location. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
I like the Circlevision 360 technology ... and if you have not seen it before, it is very much worthwhile. If you are familiar with the old show, this one has changed enough to bring it up-to-date, but still keep some of the old shot which were classics. My inlaws, who have never seen the show before, enjoyed it. Some of the Americans around us very very complimentary of the scenery. It makes me feel proud to have people know a little about the country and kill the stereotypes of igloos and Mounties -- okay, maybe just the igloo myths. Some Canadians feel they could show lesss urban area and more of the sights -- but it is difficult to fit everything into a 20 minute film. Overall, it is very worthwhile ... and the gardens at the pavillian are some of the best! /\/\/\/\ Emba33 /\/\/\/\ PS - The song, "Canada, Oh Canada" is sung by the 2007 "Canadian Idol" finalist.
Hi folks ... I am all for keeping the old standards. I love the theming and I love the muppets. The 3D is okay, but the screen flickers noticably ... there are lines in the film (at times). The waiting area is cool --- and the idea of a pre-show was great for that time --- but it's not quite as clever or cutting edge of a pre-show like Monsters Inc Laugh Floor. The water didn't even squirt (as expected) ... and the lighting effects for the fireworks etc seem a little dated. I love the Muppets ... and would love to see a new MuppetVision presentation --- and no need to add a gimicky computer generated non-muppet who doesn't exactly fit. I love the guys in the seats and the animatronic Muppet --- I say ... more Swedish Chef ... or at very least ... add a few more effects. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
This is a terrific 3-D movie (and experience) ... in fact, perhaps second only to the Magic Kingdom's Disney Philhamagic (with high resolution super large screen 3D). This one will likely be intense for younger kids, as the theatre quickly fills with fog at one point ... and the mean bugs look ominous. For the same reasons, this is what makes the attraction so good. Along with many of the current shows, Animal Kingdom may be the best park of them all. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
This is quintessential Disney ... and judging by the lines ... it is still very popular. If you get the previledge to ride with people who have never visited before ... they are impressed with the size ... the scope ... the simplicity. It's proof that rides should not all be made to meet the approval of "too cool" teens -- and the latest special effects are not required to make a delightful ride. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
First time around, we missed this show ... but, based on the reviews from this site, we went back to Animal Kingdom for a second day to check this one out. This is a fantastic show --- with high energy ... and plenty to see. Make sure you don't miss this one if you like live theatre, singing, tumbling performance, etc. The show runs about 30 minutes in total, and my toddlers felt the need to get up an dance. One of the best ... but I still enjoyed, "Finding Nemo: The Musical" better. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
If you have seen the Country Bears a few times ... it might be enough. If you are seeing the attraction for the first time, it is really worthwhile. It is funny ... and lthough dated, it is charming. The show moves well -- and the words to the songs are sometimes a little adult ... though this aspect of the twangy country sounds will be lost on the kids. My 4-year old asked to see it again after before the show was even done. I would really hate it if Disney decided to get rid of the attraction. It is nice to have some attractions which do not have long wait times -- something to see while your fast pass time is coming up. Ditto for the Carosel of Progress. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
The Carrousel is very nice ... looks great at night ... and it takes a significant number of people. If you child wants to wait in the enormous line for Dumbo, this ride might work as a diversion ... with a 10th of the waiting time. This is a primarly a childrens ride ... but adults should help toddlers to stay on their horse. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
I was able to view, "Block Party Bash" last week at Disney Hollywood Studios. Don't worry if you miss the initial "bash" at 3pm -- because it takes over an hour before the last performance takes place. Unfortunately, if you are entering the park at 3pm --- the "Bash" clogs the main artery into the park -- so you will be watching the show from the back. However, the music is fun, upbeat, and even though you swore you would never listen to the song, "YMCA" again ... it's all fun in this context. The costumes are great ... and the Pixar floats are done with the regular Disney style. No ... it's not a traditional parade, and for me, that's a good thing. This is something a little different ... and it is well done. Now ... we just need to get a parade back into Epcot. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
The most unique theme park in the world. More relaxing than most parks. The rides/shows are different than you'll see at other theme parks. World Showcase is simley amazing! There's this sense of romance and relaxation everywhere. You really feel you're in each of the countries. The food is great. The cast members are native to the countries where they work, which give it an even more authentic feel. We feel a little sad everytime we leave.
No matter what anyone else thinks, we love this Disney classic. It's fun and brings back a lot of memories for seeing it as a kid back in the 70's. Maybe an update from time to time would be in line, I hope they never get rid of it.
We love this attraction, especially my wife. I remember seeing it with my family as a teenager in the 70's and I still love it, as do my 15/12 year old sons. Could use a bit of updating every 5-10 years or so. But a great attraction that I look forward to taking my grandchildren to see one day!
Very relaxing and interesting. Seldom is a long wait due to the moving load platform; keeps things moving. Always look forward to going on this ride.
Very relaxing, informative ride. One of our favorites to get away from the hustle for the rest of the park. Love it the way it is.
For practical purposes, this show at Epcot must be seen. However, I have the rated the show as a 9 --- because there are two shows at Walt Disney World I feel are even better: 2. Wishes - Magic Kingsom --- This fireworks show (and more) is long, has great music, uses an amazing amount of pyrotechnics ... and the lights on the castle, the flying Tinkerbell and the timing make it almost perfect. 1. Fantasmic - Disney's Hollywood Studios -- This one has fireworks, fire, water screens, floats, animatronics, special effects, and a large cast to make this the best show at any park. It is way over the top. So ... my recommendation ... is the to see the Epcot show first -- then build up to Wishes or Fantasmic. This is an excellent show ... and should not be missed ... but it might be a little disappointing if you leave it until last. /\/\/\/\ Emba 33 /\/\/\/\
There are plenty of spectacular shows at Walt Disney World, but Fantasmic is likely the best. Special effects like giant animatronics, burning waters, screens made out of water, fantastic music, characters, fire works, floats --- all at night on a giant set ... it is, in my opinion, worth the price of admission to Disney Hollywood Studios alone. If you have toddlers, you might want to introduce the music and images to them in advance since the show is quite intense. I took this precaution, and my girls (2 and 4 years old) loved the show. This show is around 30 minutes and it is worth the wait -- and you can eat food while you wait. There is room for around 8,000 people ... but it will fill up fast. If you have a stroller, there is a designated parking area. Although this may bottleneck you slightly, you will still be out of the park within 30 minutes ... because Disney knows how to handle the crowds extremely well. /\/\/\/\ Emba33 /\/\/\/\
I watched this "parade" for the first time last week and was not impressed. It doesn't fit the definition of a parade. It's more like a set street performance every 15 minutes along the parade route. It starts at the front of the park and makes it's way to Star Tours. I was fortunate enough to catch the second performance on the route, so I only wound up waiting for 20 minutes (that does not include the wait time before the parade). I could only imagine what those at the end of the route were thinking. This "parade" needs to either be re-imagined or tossed entirely. I know mine is just oneopinion, but I walked away from this one asking for my hour and a half back. I will give the performers a 10 out of 10. To do what they were doing in the hottest part of the day and to have to do it for 3 or 4 stops (I'm guessing here) is an amazing show of endurance.
because I asked and I was very disapointed when a cast member told me it did and their is no fast pass when i got on line it was told too me 45 minutes
The BPB is a great parade with great use of characters. The acrobats are amazing. All around AMAZING
MY REVIEW! Trust Mr. Potato Head...Do you think he's kidding? Your life will not be mundania, after you play MIDWAY MANIA! Medium Spoilers Ahead PIXAR PLACE Still ALOT To be finished. The gift shop, cafe, meet n' greets, and whole left side of the street is still under construction. Though from what I've seen, there is going to be lots of detail, and the whole are just looks beautiful with the trees and brickwork. I woudn't judge the area harshly, as again, it's still under construction, and even when done, there will be lots of cool little details showing up in the months ahead. The story here (As I mentioned before.) is that Pixar Place (Like Maroon Studios) is where all the Pixar magic takes place. The toys are all out in full force, because they're inviting us all to become Toys and see the great new Midway games they've set up. (Neat detail: Some of the CM door signs say to Keep out Pixar Studios Animators: Toys Only. This means that the Pixar Studios Animators from the outside are just as excited to shrink down and see what the Toy's are up too, just as we guests are.) After we pass through the beautiful glass hall, we are now TOYS! The Cast Members are Andy's Toys, keeping in grand MGM-Studios tradition. (RNR has their Parking Attendents, Tower its' Bellhops, and who could forget the Muppet Labs workers?) QUEUE Without a doubt, I can say I pitty Disneyland for once. (I know! Who thought I'd ever say THAT?) They have a nice building, but we have SOOOO much space, and the Imagineer's put to good use. At every twist and turn of the queue you'll find great details and your favorite childhood toys bigger than life! I can't possibly mention all of the details because there are so many (And spotting them is half the fun!), but I will point out my favorite: And it was clearly made for two groups, Imagineers; And us. After entering the queue, there are two giant viewmaster slides. Look for the Disneyland Tomorrowland one, featuring the Peoplemover and the Mighty Microscope! After working your way to the back, you finally get the chance to meet Mr. Potato Head! He's fantastic, and the crowd LOVED him. One trip through he had some problems and had to go behind the curtain. (Themed to a giant blue hankie with Stars & Boots on it.) Yes, Jim Hill was WRONG. They do not "Just throw a sheet over it." After all this build up, you finally pick up your bright yellow glasses in a house built out of Lincoln Logs. (And it's just about the size of a real house!) Then it's a trip up the stairs, and you get to see a great view of one of my favorite parts of the ride: THE LOAD AREA! (Also be sure to listen throughout your trip through the queue and ride: the music made for the ride is really good!) LOAD Andy's room in all it's glory! Again detail abound, and this room in HUGE! I won't go into details, but let's just say (Again) it follows the grand MGM-Studios tradition of theming. I'd say it's on par with Tower's Boiler Room, and RNR's Parking Garage. I'd go further to say it's the best load/unload area in all of WDW. Be sure to look for all the details! When leaving, be sure to pay close attention to a very large Golden Book featuring: Tin Toy! THE RIDE Really, I'd have to say that you have a serious mental condition if you don't at least have "a really fun time" on your first go-around. If you don't, go ahead and just check yourself into Arkham Asylum. The beautiful details, great dark-ride sets, moving, twisting-and-turning gametrams all add up to an auroa of fun. And that's not even counting the games! All of them are so fun to play, and all four rides had new surprises and targets that had eluded me the ride before it. Four rides, we found a super-surprise combo that yielded some great bonus targets! I won't tell because that's the fun of it. Each time you go on, you'll find new surprises and details. Go and find them! Don't let the internet tell you. I can attest 100%...you'll have a heck of a great time finding out the first way! Some things that I'm sure you're dying too know... Yes, all the big voices are reprised by the proper voice actor. Hamm & Rex are the best! Keep an eye out for their peformances. I, like you, kind of had a grudge against "Screen-based attractions", but this one (Unlike any other) breaks the mold. It's SO much fun, and the 3-D is so amazingly life-like, I forgot I was watching screens. I said it! I forgot. The games, animation, and all the Toy Story pals makes this one of the finest screen based attractions ever. Gameplay! Unlike Men in Black, Buzz, and other "Shoot em' up" rides, this is the first one that if I've done poorly, I don't care. It's doesn't change how fun it was to play. As the box says, "Everyone's a Winner!" and unlike Midway Games of real; It's quite true. If you don't get an amazing score, you won't feel bad about waiting 120 Minutes. (I'm lookin' at you BUZZ AND MEN IN BLACK!) Also, whatever new process they use to make the 3-D is amazing! No matter where you are in the building, no matter how you look at it, the space adjusts iteslf, as it would if it was actually there. (You know how Spiderman has to move the image in synch with the cars? Take that Spiderman! I can look up and down and it looks PERFECT!) SPOILERS END. In summary, you may feel like a winner: But the real winner is Walt Disney Imagineering. I was so proud to be there in the first line for Midway Mania ever. And nothing could beat seeing and talking to the Imagineers there, as they were very pleased to see such a great reaction to the ride. I really think that this is a perfect addition to not only the Studios, but too all of Walt Disney World. Everest is amazing, but it's great to have a brand new E-Ticket that the WHOLE FAMILY can ride. (In the vein of Haunted Mansion and Pirates, everyone can ride: Everyone can have a great time.) In short, get to Midway Mania as soon as you can! You'll have a great time: No Assembly required!* *Some Assembly Required
Well this playset does look like the movie and when I was little and watching that movie I always wished i could be where the kids where and this playset adventure does this and is cool to just experience even if your and adult.
Best show I have ever seen in my life. I could watch it over and over. absolutely amazing and breathtaking. something for everyone. do not miss this!
love the show, it is absolutely amazing. I still feel like I enjoy festival of the lion king much more. Nemo is wonderful for kids and the puppets and effects are beautiful! much much much better than tarzan rocks!
DINOSAUR is my all time favorite ride in WALT DISNEY WORLD . it is an exhilerating ride which takes you into the cretaceous period of the dinosaur right before an asteroid is about to make you and the hungry carnotaurus thats chasing you extinct. I love this ride even more than the awesome EE. ONly because those AA dinos are incredibly life like. I am at awwww everytime I see the carno that chases you. Totally a ten ride for me.
Well I dont kno where 2 start because I love this ride. even though this is not the fastest or biggest loop dee loop of a rollercoaster this combined with it's awesome attention to detail is like my favorite roller coaster of all time and I love thrill rides and I give my thanks to Joe Rohde for making this attraction a reality. Its amazing especially going backwards and seeing The yeti. I get chills everytime I see Him. He (the yeti) is an amazing realistic aa when in A mode. I give this ride all the way highest props.
In October of 2006 was the very first time my family and I experienced this AMAZING RIDE! Any age group will love this ride. I am 15 and I loved it so much... I couldn't get enough. My parents both loved it too. The Yeti is sweet, it is so surprising the very first time. Disney worked their magic and combined suspense and thrill in just the right way. The only downfall... and most of you know it... the lines. Even in the off season, we waited at least 20 minutes in 80+ weather. But any way.. WE LOVE IT!
Body Wars is a great ride but lets say not straight after breakfast. The noise of the heart and blood pumping made me feel a little bit sick.
Well i have ridden it sooooooo much. I am obsessed with the Tower Of terror! I have memorized the whole thing Rod Sterling says. teheheheheheh!!!!! lol XD!
Amazing Show!!!!! Much better than tarzan
It was cool to me to see the 'Haunted Mansion Movie Sets'I like the Movie and I have it on DVD to see the sets was great fun and to see how thing were made. You could see the size of the set and how big it was I love it.
Alien Encounter was the best Iam so sorry its gone its one of my top rides
This ride was a bit of a disappointment to me. There was a very big buildup and it was a very big let down. The line is outside and in June it is HOT! The line also snakes it's way for what seems like miles inside and the ride is just not worth the wait. It is a giant aquarium with a digital fish thrown in here and there, nothing really spectacular. The Seas/Living Seas needs to go and a good thrill ride needs to be put in this place.
This is one of the best rides in Disney. It is soo much fun!
I think this is a really great ride. It is good for the whole family. It is not too fast and wild, but not too slow and boring. It is one of my family's favorites!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid is a well done attraction in Animation Courtyard. Playhouse Disney is also popular with young families. There isn't a whole lot else though.
The Backlot Tour is a classic ride, walk through tour of the movies. Not too much has changed over the years except the movies focussed on. It's a classic and definately worth seeing at least once. It can get old after a while though especially if the lines are long. Castatrophe Canyon is indeed the highlight. That truck sure has been set on fire quite a few times! 8.5
The play area is designed to look like the Honey I Shrunk the Kids movie. It has been at the Studios from the opening I believe and is a great place for small children. The area is pretty big so many people can "explore" it at a time
When I heart of the changes I was very upset. I don't think Epcot needs to be infused with the characters as much as it has been! I wanted the ride to be all about Mexico and its culture. When I rode it, it was not as bad as I had feared. I do enjoy Donald as a character and it was enjoyable. I liked the old ride better. Disney has to understand that adding a character does not make an attraction better!
I could care less what others say, I loved this ride! My brother and I would always say, let's ride Mexico! It was all part of the Disney experience!
I must admit I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one! I will ride again on my next trip!
I am 30 years old and visited Disney every year with my family since I was a toddler. Horizons was and will always be my personal favorite! The smell of the orange grove coudn't be beat! I wish the imagineers could have updated Horizons, or simply had it stay and called it retro futuristic like the Contemporary! I think lovers of Disney would have gone for it!
I loved this show when it was around! As Frollo's #1 fan, this show was the highlight of my trip! Disney please open this show again it was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read one on here about how they let you stay on, and it's happened to me too. In the florida (aka rainy) summer, we happened to go on it right before it started to rain. The cast members let us stay on at least for 23 rides. For some odd reason (I must have gotten attached to the ride, and I love Walt's original idea for EPCOT center) I wanted it to rain on this wednesday (I went to the parks from Mon. to Wed.). Alas, no rain, but I still got on...
This ride was better than I expected. It uses mostly video screens, but uses them well and in creative new ways. The ride is colorful and cute. The song at the end is catchy. The seagulls outside are really great and the queue area is surprisingly complete and themed. Of course the ride could have so much more, but considering the room they had, and the short time they took to build it. It could have been worse. I'm going to say based on kids/family attractions as of late, this one was well done.
Festival of the Lion King is a great show in Camp Minnie Mickey, there are also some nice character meeting spots for the kids...
I was there on March 9th, the very first day it debuted. It is very high energy and fun. It adds a lot of life to the Studios park. They don't rope off the road, which at first I thought was odd, but quickly found that it is because they encourage guest participation and want people to get up and dance, even in the streets. It doesn't have all the Pixar characters, just Toy Story, Monsters Inc., A Bugs Life, and The Incredibles. It's more of a road side show than a parade, in that it does not constantly move down the street. It stops and performs the show, then moves further down the road and performs again. But when it stops, it performs for about 15-20 minutes. The show stopped in front of us and we had the Toy Story float and characters in front of us. Behind them was the Monsters Inc. float, and then the Bugs Life float performing for people further down the road. So the only time you see the other floats and characters are when they are moving down the road towards their next stopping point. The Incredibles pop out of all 3 floats at one point in the show, but don't have their own dedicated themed float. The acrobatics were great. The singing and dancing was contageous and all the guests were clapping, singing, and dancing...including me!
The parade includes most of the Disney characters in elaborate floats. Most of them are in snow globes though! The audio can be a little repetitive as well. Still a nice parade overall.
The Streets of America have some large backdrops of real city skylines such as New York City and San Francisco. It is home to the Muppet show and Lights Motors Action, which are MUST sees. The Backlot Tour are also a classic. Streets of America is stacked with nice shops too. It rivals Sunset Blvd. for the the title of best land at Hollywood Studios.
Mickey Avenue is a very small "land." The main attraction is One Man's Dream, a great tribute to Walt Disney.
Who wants to watch a parade that stops for 15 minutes just to see people/characters jump around and clap their hands to music? Need I say more? Yawn...
Right as guests pass through the entrance if they go straight ahead, they enter Hollywood Boulevard. It is a thin strip lined with many good shops and highlighted by the Great Movie Ride, one of DHS's greatest rides. It's an impressive place overall.
The Japenese structures look great but there aren't a lot of attractions in Japan. A ride or show would improve the place a lot.
I really like this show. I think it is Disney's best 3D show on property. Great effects, humor, and theming make for a very entertaining show.
I absolutly love this show. It is in my opinion the best show on disney property. The actors, puppets, songs, and scenery were stunning. I cannot wait to see it again!
Definitely the worst disney attraction ever. Disney really should be ashamed that it keeps this attraction running. You sit in complete darkness and listen to a story. The air conditioning was the only good part.
There are some nice shops and restaurants, as well as theater performances througout the day. The living statues were hilarious when they were around. The Italian feel is done well, but a ride or a show would inprove the pavilion/
The big rock on the outside has been enhanced and the seagulls are a nice touch. The Nemo ride is somewhat disappointing although some of the effects are nice. It actually seems to be a downgrade from the previous and longer ride through the aquarium. It still is worth riding once if the lines aren't too long. The Seas attracts a lot more people now and the Nemo theme througout the building is quite popular. It's possibly an uprgrade from the former Living Seas overall but still not spectacular.
France has some of the best dessert shops in WDW. French cuisine is famous for being amazing and lives up to the hype. There is a mini Eiffel Tower to add the effect. The France show gives a good feel of the country and is nice but not spectacular. The atmosphere of France is great.
The China pavillion's greatest asset is the Wonders of China show. The building it's in is amazing. The lanscape is nice and the buildings are uniquely Chinese as they should be. China is good worldshowcase country.
it was a good time
I love it!It is very cool and Awesome!
the parade was awesome. when it was around i saw it every night that i was there and also wish they would bring it back. it was much better than tapestry of dreams and also i know that many people feel the same way that when you listen to the music it puts a smile on your face.
This show is completely amazing and will keep your kids in awe! While visiting WDW last time, I went and saw the show 3 times. I suggest you get there early, if you don't mind taking the time to wait in line for a long time. That way you will get a front seat on either side of the walkways. It really pulls you in to the show being that close. But, I don't think you can have a bad seat in the house! The colors and costumes in this show are really imaginitive. I get the chills multiple times throughout the show because the music is so great. Everything about it has been done so amazingly you'll be in awe each time you go! This is a must see, at least once, if not many more times!!
We saw the BPB at DLR but not at WDW. When I informed our return visitors that they would be seeing BPB rather than Stars and Cars they were disappointed. We have a couple of Imcredibles fans (never seen S&C) that of those that had seen BPB they didn't think it was very Disney. We'll see in the summer whether the move to WDW was a good one
The cast give everything in this parade, and it's a real change of pace from some of the previous parades. It features most of the charcaters from past Pixar movies, and combines it with fast tempo music, acrobatics, and dance. It is important to note this is a Pixar parade, and does not feature any Disney characters, not even the big cheese himself. Are some guests going to be disappointed in not seeing Mickey and no Disney music? I give the performers 10 out of 10, the parade itself a 7 out of 10.
Expedition Everest is great ride - from the top you can see almost the entire WDW property. Once the ride gets going you will feel like you are being tracked down by the Yeti - until you finally come face to face with him. Terrific theming - fun for all ages. A+
advice-never ride a ride that gets you soaked then sit in the way back then watch the show! ITS FREEZING!!! my second time i sat in the front row didn't ride a wet ride and was in awe the whole show! agin, it was asomely asome
space mountain, tta, and buzz light year are what make this land the big hit that it is
prob.one of the funest lands that has two of the few advanture rides
one of the most interesting places at epcot. i luv taseting the soda from around the world...also great place to cool of and drink for free. dont forget to taste bella from italy
safari is amazing. rides for everybody. i must say makes me want to go to africa.
Great may to be in the movies lol. rides are amazing and the attention to retail is amazing. shopping great, 50s prime time cafe and the italian rest. is some of the best on property
great way to experience other cultures with out leaving the country. The kid cots are great for kids. also the restaraunts are exquisit. also great place for romance
amazing..truely magical and classic place. cant go to disney with out visiting. make sure to take lots of pics, as well as take a minute to savor it, especially the castle
this ride has an amazing attention to detail that makes you feel your in an abanden hotel in the thirties
fun, kids like how they relate it to the shows and book. some parts may frighten some children.
fun... , line useually shorter then dumbo.....great for kids who like the type of ride....fun when aladin and jasemine ride with your carpet great views
great to relax, see classic movie clips presented in a new way...kids especially like wizard of oz, as well as some kids scared out of there mind, for not only this part, but most of it
This is a not to be missed attraction: make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :)........... great ride that shows you how safe our cars really are .
fun, great ride to pass time, relax, as well as well as great for star wars fans
This is a not to be missed attraction: make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :) if you dont like getting wet, as well as bring a change of clothes....and wait to ride when cold
Amazing, classic attraction. great thrill, a must ride

boreing....ride scares some children.classic. some girls like the ride because snowwhite is involved
This is a not to be missed attraction: make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :) great for aerosmith fans, music fantabulous great ride
great ride, but to wild for some. i love wild mouse rides, and kinda enjoyed it. Very vintage carnival like
great ride with amazing detail. Great ride to relax, except it get rough ( sound, sight) at times. Great for pirate want to bes. love the tie in to the movie. One woman on our boat thought it was actually him and nearly fell out of the boat with excitement
Classic disney ride. Fun, especially for kids who read the story get to see it in person. I love it, great ride to relax
its a great way to get a glimpse into what it takes to be an astronat with out haveing to go to kennedy space center. I have only done the regular, full force version. It was fun.
fun and historical. i especially like the view, as well as it provides a glimpse in the past
great ride to relax, even though its quick, and its great to spend a few min. in between attractions. ....and wait for princess breakfast across the way
i love this classic disney attraction.i especially love it when alice and mad hadder join your tea cup party
boreing , yet informative about how and where our food comes from and agriculture facts
its great for relaxing
Amazing, i loved how we were so close to the animals, and how the staff was willing to answer all of our questions. Again, it actually helped me remember stuuf for science. if you stay at the animal kingdom lodge concerige level, i urge you to do the sunrise safari...its amazing. No matter what, you have to ride this ride. if you could only ride one ride at animal kingdom, this is it.
great ride to cool off. i especially like the cannons that squirt water on you. i recommend save this ride til the end when its cold or you dont like touring a park wet, unless you bring a change of clothes, exc.
This ride is interesting because it teaches us about animals and tripes. Its kinda corny, but great when you want to relax. Sometimes, the captin allows people to steer, which is quite fun since i did it. also it is a great ride to do when the little ones want to see animals and you cant get to animal kingdom. Also ask questions, i did, and it actually helped when i had a test in science
no matter how annoying the song is, or how many times the boats bop each other... no trip is complete with this ride. I especially like takeing pictures with my nationalites
Im scared everytime i go on, except it is lighhearted fun and spooks. it is quite fun though, once you pat threw the scary parts. Parents, my little cousin got scared out of her mind and had to go on its a small world, tea cups, and basically every ride in fantasy land except snow white to calm her down. so be careful
It is quite boreing unless you want to relax.
This is a not to be missed attraction: make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :) Also i like when it goes backwords. I am a bit afraid of the yeti ...seriously. that thing creeps me out. One of the greatest thrills at the world
make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :) I love the challenge of getting the most points. Also amazing colors
boreing, but a nice ride to do when there is no line and when you want to take a break
FUN ride , very tame compared to others, i especially like the mini figures
one of the funnest rides at the world. Great view to.
everybody will be enchanted and feel like a kid again at this attraction
This is a not to be missed attraction: make sure you get a souvinear photo of you on the ride :)
I must be getting older. When I rode this as a youngster, it was fun. As I get older, this ride (and Body Wars) might start to cause you motion sickness. I'm not sure what causes this effect ... but I sould suggest the ride does not quite "fool" your body enough into thinking you are really moving. If the projection was not just out the front, this might help --- and some better air ciruculation might help as well. My friend recently returned from going on this ride ... and he felt some motion sickness as well. Still ... if my daughter wants to go on this, I might be taking the graval first. The ride is well done ... looking a bit tattered (well worn) ... but still well executed, with a well themed store at the exit. Emba 33
The elevator trip to Sea base Alpha was kind of fakey but the shows were ok. The sea cabs ride was the best; it was great to travel through the aquarium and see the view of all the fish and coral. The Seas with Nemo should have more of that. I'm not sure if I like the Nemo takeover or not, it brings more crowds in at least.
Gran Fiesta Tour is actually a downgrade from previous El Rio de Tiempo. The original ride depicted Mexico's history and things to do in the country as well as give a relaxing boat ride. Most of the layout is the same but the new theme just isn't done well enough to better the former experience. Screens- The large TV like screens around the ride used to show pictures of Mexican celebrations and history now show Donald Duck and his friends. Some classic pieces have been eliminated. Animontronics- The It's a Small World like dolls are still there which is good. I'm happy that they kept the music playing skeletons as well. Overall- The new idea is interesting but it can't top El Rio de Tiempo.
Finding Nemo: The Musical has become one of the things I do multiple times on a trip to Walt Disney World. The sets are breathtaking, the actors are incredible, and the songs are pure magic. The show itself is better than many Broadway and West End shows I have seen. There are people who say that the actors should be hidden. These people most likely understand the style that the Lopez team uses. They were the creators of Avenue Q, which is a hit Broadway show that is basically an adult version of Sesame Street. Because they puppets themselves cannot convey much emotion, the actors have to fill that role. The same applies to their adaptation of Finding Nemo. This is one of my favorite shows I have ever seen and will be for some time.
I was a huge fan of this ride! I loved the fact that it hadn't been changed since basically Epcot opened, but this year they changed it! Now it has Donald Duck and his friends and it just doesn't have the same ambiance it once had. It is great for kids, but not so much for adults anymore :( Too bad!
Lights Motors Action is amazing! There are some of the best burnouts, powerslides and jumps that I have ever seen live. There is so much prescision needed to not crash with each other in the manuevers. They go through four tires every other show as well. The seating place is like a stadium and still the whole area was filled. It would be horrible to miss no matter who you are.
A kilt wearing rock band seems pretty weird and it is but the members are very good musicians. It is the first rock type band that I've seen that has bagpipes! The bagpiper even had a solo instead of the guitar. It takes courage to perform a concert in kilts but they have been at WDW for quite a while. Off Kilter was entertaining and a good experience. )The stage is located in Canada)
The Laugh Floor was hilarious, the monsters were great and it actually was interactive. The monsters made fun of guests and had some pretty good comedic moments. Guests can actually text jokes to be used on the show. The place was packed but there wasn't a huge waiting time. The battle between Mike and Roz is probably the best part. The show was quite a bit better than I expected it to be.
O Canada is now the best world showcase show next to American Adventure. The old version was slightly outdated and didn't rise above other countries. Martin Short adds a lot of humor and quality narration. The blizzard scene at the beginning was nice too. They kept some things from the original though such as the mounties riding in a circle across the screen. Overall, O Canada is vastly improved and a great inhancement to the Canada pavilion.
On secnod thought after a recent visit to the Hollywood Studios, it is still alive and in its same place...
I took this tour many years ago. You have to arrive at the MK very early. I believe we saw sun rise. You learn the history behaind the trains and how much of a train buff Walt Disney was. Going into the train sheds where they are stored and repaired was facinating. When I did the tour pins weren't all the rage. We received an actual railroad spike. Very cool until I forgot about it and tried to get it through airport security in my carryon. Needless to say I no longer have the spike. And this was before 9/11. I'm glad they switched to pins.
The CBJ has been a favorite of mine since I first saw it. I have loved animatronics ever since I can remember, so perhaps that is one of the main reasons I enjoy it so much. Apparently the people that think it is the most boring thing ever, do not appreciate animatronics and classics. In my opinion, DisneyLand made a horrible decision to get rid of it, and I hope Disney World will never remove it. If you appreciate a good Disney classic, then check out the Country Bear Jamboree!
This New Year's eve video (going into 2008) brought me right back to Magic Kingdom. I had tears in my eyes again. Thank you for sharing it with us here!!
I took my tour 11/8/07. Our guides were Mandy and Landon. Very knowledgeable. The tour started 8:30am, before the park opened. We went to the Oasis, Africa, Asia, and Dinoland. Everythig was explained in detail. The themeing of the buildings, walk ways, and trees. The transitions between the areas, and being shown many hidden mickeys. You would be amazed at all the thought that goes behind every little detail. I must say it is a different experience depending on which guide you have. My brother took the tour and they spent more time learning about Expedition Everest and Congo rapids. We spent more time looking and learnig about the animals. You also get a great pin.
I forgot. You get a discount if you're a AAA member. Many of the tours give a AAA discount, but you have to ask.
I did this tour twice. After an hours worth of instruction we set out into World Showcase. You learn interesting back stories as you zip in and around the pavillions. The best was in front of Italy where they give you some free time to go as you please. The pin you get at the end is very unique. If you have the chance, do it.
I took my tour 11/9/07. Our instructors were Ron and Robert. Very informative and funny. Since most of our group had ridden Segways before, the instruction period went by quickly. We were then off into the woods, along the beach, and over to Widerness Lodge. Half way through we went to the horse stables to rest our feet and look at the horses. Brush up on Spin and Marty so you can answer the trivia questions. Its great fun.
I've been to AK many times but until our last trip I had avoided this attraction, fearing it would be dull. After some egging on I went in and found it to be charming, funny, informative and thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. The birds all have fantastic personalities and had he audience of all ages in awe. There was plenty of comedy between the two Cms as well as the fantastically trained birds. I'd definitely recommend it to cynics and first-time visitors alike.
Drew Carey is funny in the show. A lot of it is in the dark so other senses are required to fully experience it. Kind of a new concept. It isn't around anymore but was a pretty decent show.
WOW! This ride had so many loops it made me scream and lagh it's actually a scream 'n' cry rollercoaster lol Great!
To much turning around and curses but still great I like how big the truck cars are.
WOOT! This is splash crazy going down 60mph and all wet wet WET! The bigger the boat is, the more the splash is fun and how you get wet I am going to sit in the frount to get all wet and soak the next time we go. lol FUN!
This area shows why Disney is a cut above the rest. Where else can you ride a log raft over to an island which features a running grist mill to explore, trails, spooky (not really) caves and a fort with a snoring solder and horses which twitch their tails? When at the Magic Kingodom, this is where we bring our lunches and eat in one of the shady groves overlooking the Haunted Mansion and the Riverboat. At the grist mill, my daughter likes to find the bird's next in the gears..."Wow, he doesn't get hurt!" and to listen to the song being played...listen closely! The barrel bridge is another favorite, as are the windy caves and fort with the snoring solder. Lots to explore, kids will love this. Adults, too.
Each time we visit Disney's Animal Kingdom, we notice most people rush through this enchanting land for the interior of the park. I like to take my time and look at all the animals on display in this area. This is especially fun if I get to the park early, as the animals are more active. There are two main trails through The Oasis, left and right. In between, there are several smaller cross trails that get basically no traffic at all. They contain more wooden bridges over the waterways and most of the interesting animals. All the trails lead to the Tree of Life view. The smaller trails go inside some of the rock formations and almost feel like you are in a cave. I also like walking through there in the heat of the day. The Oasis is all shaded and I like to buy lunch and walk it here to sit in one of the caves by the waterfall. Very cool and comfortable and hardly any people traffic. If you arrive early enough, look for cast members standing just outside The Oasis with some cool animal or insect to show. The last time we were there, two very friendly cast members had giant cockroaches (I know, gross...but somehow interesting also). They were knowledgeable about the insects and shared many great facts. Don't rush through this great Disney experience!
Just echoing what everyone has said about this one. It is my favorite parade of all of the parks. The music is great, the floats are great and the performers are great. And if you are quick, you can see the entire parade at the Tree of life and then head down the left path and catch the parade again as it goes around back to the start.
This ride is the best. The second time me and my sister rode in the very front row.The front is the best. But if you are afriad of heights you might want a row in the middle because in the front row you can see EVERYTHING especialy when your going backwards. This was my favorite ride at animal kingdom. And the mountain looks sick in the park its awsome!
This ride is great for younger kids but it was like a test of technology. I liked how they blended in the projetors with the scenery. The waits were so fast we walked right in 2 of my visits! But i see how sometimes the lines are like 40 minutes and its not worth that long of a wait. The ending it impressive!
My wife and I have been going to the World every year for about 10 years now and I have to say that Epcot is our favorite park. We like to take about two days to just soak everything in. We walk for a while then sit and people watch, stroll around one of the countries, and always stop for some wine in Italy. Epcot is a great place to relax and take in all the magic of Disney.
The Little Mermaid is perfomed a lot with live actors and presented masterfully with decent effects. The songs are very well done. It meets Disney standards and if you like Little Mermaid you probably will enjoy it if not, you still might...
One of AK's first and best shows, this is very high energy and extremely entertaining. The costumes and acrobats are excellent as are the characters and the rest of the show. It is one of the few Lion King attractions left but a great one. Located in camp Minnie Mickey, a must see.
Mickey's Toontown Fair is one of the best lands for families with small children. It has many of the characters' houses and they are available to be met and have pictures taken with. The theming is bright and nice. Goofy's Barnstormer coaster is a good family ride. The WD railroad stops by it too. If you don't have young kids, it may be a little disappointing though.
Our family of four went in July 2007 and all of us complained of paim on our shoulders from the restraints which must be the only way that they can keep people in the ride. We are returning to WDW this July but will avoid this sad attempt at recreating a very enjoyable movie. I give it a 1 because there is no zero
When I was a kid, this ride used to frighten me. The details like the cobwebs, the smell, the stretch room (with the "dead center of the room"). As an adult, I have fond memories ... and the Haunted Mansion is a definite highlight. Although it may not "scare" people like a person jumping out ... the music, effects and atmosphere are terrific ... and funny. Like the best Disney rides, you can get right back on and see different details the next time around. Check out the "Grim Grinning Ghosts". Perhaps not as technologically advanced, but an old favourite which still holds its own. /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\
I have been fortunate enough to see several Cirque shows in various venues over the past ten years. While this is not the most spectacular, it is an excellent show. There are elements of dexterity, strength, balance -- with beautiful customing, live orchestra, original compositions, inventive sets. This is a good show for kids as long as they are not too young to appreciate it. Adults should find this a great show which complements the Disney style of entertainment well. Downtown Disney is a great way to spend an evening. This is a great centerpiece for that evening. Also ... I am a large individual, and I found the seating was fine. We were lucky enough to sit in the front row ... and only picked up the tickets the night before a show (so don't assume a show is just sold out ... you never know). Have an exjoyable evening. Great show. /\/\/\/\ the Shamus /\/\/\/\
A decent rendition of patriotic American songs, they wander about playing all over the pavillion. It isn't the greatest attraction but the costumes and music are done very well.
We love this ride! It's not only informative, showing what damage to the rain forest can do to an ecosystem, it's a blast. From the wonderfully-themed ride up the belt to the last oh-so-wet drop, it's the best!
10 years after the movie "A Bug's Life" was released and 10 years after It's Tough to be a Bug opened at Animal Kingdom, this attraction still draws the crowds. The combination of animitronics, effects and a pretty darn good 3-D movie still has the impact it did when this attraction opened on April 22, 1998. Parts of it are dark and scary for the young ones. We love it all, and go back multiple times each time we visit Animal Kingdom. Bravo, Mr. Mouse!
My in-laws, who were born and raised in Italy (Nonno - Sicily, Nonna - northern Italy), loved the theming. They also loved the Expresso - dark and strong.
We love Innoventions for all it's quirks. We love the robot contest with it's make-your-own plastic robot at the end. We love the food rocks contest. We love the music making industrial robots. We love the home of the future. Sure, it's a bit dated and hokey, but that's what we love about it!
We love this ride, especially after a good lunch in the Magic Kingdom. One thing that we wish was still available is the walk around the top deck/wheel house. In 2004, the top deck was open and one could visit the "Captain" in the wheelhouse and blow the steam whistle. Also on display was the Captain's Cabin, complete with writing desk and props to make it appear as it might when in use. We also enjoyed talking with the "Captain", a woman who was a fountain of information about the Riverboat and Disney in general. It's too bad that they've sequestered the "Captain" away from guests like us. We'll still enjoy the ride!
As compared to the old ride, we thought the changes were unfotunate. The old ride, while dated, sincerely tried to show the positive attributes of Mexico's different regions...things that left us saying "wow, I'd like to go there and see that!". The new ride has lost most of that message. Now it's about looking for the missing Amigo while Mexico's gems take a back seat. It's too bad. We'll still visit the pavilion and enjoy the other attractions. The little museum is a gem. Sorry, Mr. Mouse, you've missed the mark with this upgrade.
We rode twice on Fri(1/4). The last time was around 6 o'clock. It was awesome. After we bought our picture we came out and saw everyone looking up at the mountain. The ride had stopped on it's way up. People were getting out and having to walk down. They had been stuck there awhile. It looked very scary. I was wondering if anyone else might have any more information about this. When we were riding it, it took a little longer than usual for it to get going after we had gone backwards. A guy riding with me said that something was wrong. I didn't know b/c it was my first time(my daughter and her friend rode that morning). I still loved it and thought it was as good as rockin' roller coaster.
Epcot is our favorite park and here's why: Dad likes it because he learns something every time he goes. His favorites are the World Showcase and Spaceship Earth. His favorite World Showcase land is Morocco, the museum is cool! Mom likes it because they have great snacks. She also likes taking her time through the shops in the World Showcase. The sushi in Japan is pretty darn good, also. Darling Daughter likes it for the thrills of Test Track and Mission Space. Nonno (Grandpa) likes Mission Space, the Orange side! Yahoo! Let's do it again! Nonna (Grandma) likes the Siemen's post show from Spaceship Earth. She can do that build-a-guy in record time.
What can I say? It's way cool! If you can, do the single rider line and save lots of time. The theming for the ride queue is so well done, everyone should walk through it at least once!
It's not fast, nor thrilling, but the Carousel of Progress is one of our families' favorite rides in the Magic Kingdom. We like it because of it's light-hearted approach to life in each the decades it covers. It's good to be reminded that today's modern inventions were not always part of life in the recent past. Our kids can't fathom a world without DVD's, IPODs, the Internet or cell phones. My 16 year old always learns something new about the recent past and even though she's too old to ask "was it really that way back then?", I can see the wheels turning as she exits the theatre. Keep running the Carousel of Progress, please Mr. Mouse!
Our family (2 adults, one teenager) went to the Adventures Club on the advice of the concierge in our resort. What a blast! It was a Thursday night, which apparently is Disney Cast Member night at Pleasure Island. We sat in the main room and watched one show there. The Adventures Club cast members were talented and fun, staying in character and interacting with the guests. We figured out that most of the guests in the room were Disney Cast Members from other attractions when the action started heating up. The exchanges between the Adventures Club Cast Members and the other Disney Cast Members showed that they were regulars. It did get a bit off-color, but that just added to the fun. Our second show of the evening was in the organ room. The action got even funnier as the Cast Members played off eachother. What a great time! My teenager wanted to go back every night of our trip. We'll absolutely go back again!
This ride ran from the year Walt Disney World opened until the late 1970's, at least that's when I saw it last. With a Disney Cast Member dressed in western costume as a guide, 14 or so guests could explore the Rivers of America in a canoe. It launched just down from the River Boat, I believe that the docks are still there. The ride was human powered, with each guest getting a paddle sized to their proportions. The guide rode in the back of the canoe, which is the best steering position. He/she encouraged the paddlers to get a cadence and instructed the guests as to when to paddle harder or softer. Young kids were encouraged to just ride. As I remember, the path of the ride was downstream, the same path of the River Boat and around Tom Sawyer Island. It may have not gone the entire distance around the Rivers of America, as I remember cutting back to the dock under one of the bridges on Tom Sawyer Island. The canoes were fairly wide, with at least two paddlers per seat and the young kids in the middle. It was a fun ride and a good workout! I don't know why the ride closed down, but I miss it!
how did that happen? sorry about the duplicate!
Discovery Island's main attraction and icon of the park is the Tree of Life. It truly is a wonder and comperable to the other parks' symbols. It's Tough to be a Bug! inside of it is a good 3D show but it would be more interesting to do a ride like in Spaceship Earth. There are also a few shops and an aquarium with many different species of fish including a vegetarian pirhaha. Discovery Island has AK's best show and landmark, making it a great land.

The Oasis is one of the first "lands" that one encounters in AK. It has thick rainforest like foliage, exotic birds and an anteater. The anteater is the best animal attraction. It also holds one of the greatest restaurants in WDW, Rainforest Cafe. The Oasis is pretty small but interesting and worth walking through. Rainforest Cafe adds a LOT to it.
