This is a wonderful tour, the information that our tour guide Jeff gave us was worth it's weight in gold. I really did not care for the under the kingdom section of the tour, I was looking forward to seeing costums begining made, none of that but the information above ground was great from learning about things on Main Street like the sidewalks on the right are wider because people walk to the right and the names on the windows and how they are set up. Roy Disney is the first one and Walt is the last one. We went on the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. Learn some of the history the Liberty Square and why there is a difference in the pavements and what the cobblestone area represents. Lunch was good. I would not recommend this tour for the first time WDW person, because you look at the Magic Kingdom is an entirely different way after that. When I return in October I will schedule another tour
This ride is amazing, it is the BEST ride ive ever been. The Imagineers did an excellent job on designing it. I cant get enough of it!!!
There are really two distinct parts of Dinoland U.S.A. There is the original part which focuses on Dinosaurs and when they lived and Dino Rama, a weird carnival like place with bright colors and carnival rides featuring Primeval Whirl. Dinosaur is probably the main attraction in Dinoland and the most complex. For the kids, the boneyard is a great place. Dinoland is a lot different than most of the other lands at AK but that isn't always a bad thing.
I agree with the previous poster, seeing the costumes and faces of the puppeteers who were actually dancing and performing the songs live was a surreal, beautiful experience. It only added to the experience, since the actors' expressions could be clearly seen and enhanced the performance. Instead of seeing a human person and a large fish puppet, I found myself seeing the two as a weird, united being. Like I said, surreal. Unlike any other theatre production I've seen, on or off Broadway. Technical effects are indescribable. I sincerely hope that this becomes a Broadway show.
This show used to be in Fantasyland, where Philharmagic is today. It was a tremendous AA show featuring scenes from all the classic Disney films, Snow White, Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, Alice in Wonderland...and many others. There was an AA orchestra with Baloo, Kaa, Huey, Louie and Dewey, Uncle Scrooge, Minnie Mouse, and of course Mickey was the Conductor. This was the finest show to grace Fantasyland, sadly they sold it to the Oriental Land Company in 1980, and was never seen in the US again. RIP wonderful show.
This was one of THE BEST live shows at WDW, sadly took its final bow in 1986. With Slue Foot Sue and the traveling Salesman and Diamond Jim (The Proprietor) to the Can Can Girls. Great Vaudeville style comedy and live action. Serving snacks and drinks while you watch. People used to make reservations weeks out to see this show, still can't figure out why they closed it. What occupies the building currently is NOT the Horseshoe Revue...But an accountant's version of how to make a venue turn a profit. For those of us who saw and loved the original, we miss you Bev and Kay and Wally and the whole cast....
Loved this show....Several times when we went in as a family, years ago you could hear the whole audience sing with the finale...."From the Mountains...To the Prairies...." Classic Disney at its best......
This had to be one of the best shows in Tomorrowland which replaced one of the dullest shows "Mission to Mars". The concept, detailed story, quality acting in the film sequences and state of the art animatronics combined for one heck of an experience. Now, most of the scare value lies in the first visit, not knowing what is going on. But revisits are fun for the humor that is very subtley injected into the show. During the holding preshow before S.I.R. there are several monitors one of which advertised a coming speech on "Mission to Mars- History or Hoax?" and little gags all the way through. RIP Scary Little Show......We will miss you.
An expansive, adventurous area in the far-left corner of Typhoon Lagoon. It may take you a minute to find it, but once you do the little ones will never leave! There are short slides, lots of water jets, zany playgrounds, sand pits, a stream, and plenty of curiosity-sparking set pieces. There a lots of beach chairs and shady spots for grown-ups. Technically speaking, it actually extends by way of a stream into a corner of the surf pool where a slide and playground are situated among palm trees. Here, kids can safetly enjoy the very end of the waves cranked out every 90 seconds.
This meandering creek around the park is designed so you can spend about 30 minutes floating around or use it as relaxing transportation and get off along the way. A fantastic place to get a tan, too. Two downsides: 1) gets so crowded in the middle of the day that you're wedged in between inner-tubes, mostly among strangers, and 2) the ice cave part has jets of freezing cold water that you can't see before they fire. Luckily, there is a detour around the cave.
This is a special area of Blizzard Beach for kids age 5-11 who are too big for the kiddy stuff, but aren't ready for the intense slides. There's a pool with white blocks like pieces of a broken ice skating rink that the kids walk on. There's also a smaller pool, slide, and a short rock climbing wall. This is perfect at a water park meant for little ones and teenagers. It looked like so much giggly fun that I wanted to try it, but the net the kids hold on to as they walk across the "ice" blocks was too low in the air.
I loved this show - thought it was very professionally produced and had Broadway quality performers. I hate when people say they don't want to see the actor's faces....that is the whole POINT....it is in reality a HUMAN story...get it? Also - why higher such good singer/actors if you are going to hide them. If you cover up the actors, then you could just have pupeteers do it to pre-recorded singing and acting. Bravo to Disney for using high quality performers!!!!
My first reaction was to write a two page review, praising this wonderful feat of Imagineering, though I will cut it short, and tell you that in my opinion, it was/is the best attraction ever developed by the Walt Disney company.
I was scared to go on this because I thought it would have too big of a drop, and it did but I loved it!!
If you have seen the Broadway version or any tour or local production of the Broadway Musical don't ruin your expereince with this! Most of the actors lip sync and terribly at that! The only upside to this is Four For A Dollar, the a capella group that sings before the show. So get there about 20 minutes before show time and get a good seat in the back for these guys. When they leave, so can you. It's just not believable when Chip is bigger than the Beast!!!!
Regular visitors from the UK me and my sister know the 'stage' side of Epcot well and thought we would take this tour having read about it extensively on this and other web sites. It is a good tour and well worth the money. Amy was our tour guide and carried the tour very well indeed. Everyone wears descreet headphones and the guide wears a descreet microphone, meaning we could always hear her no matter where we were. This was also useful when crossing from one side of the park to the other among the crowds. As the other reviews have said we visited lots of interesting areas. We also entered Soar through the back door and jumped the queues to get a front seat ride. I must admit there were a couple of disappointments. Firstly one of the reasons we did this tour was that there seemed to be a VIP viewing of illuminations in the evening..sadly this was not offered to us. Also we were offered 20% lunch discount at the Nine Dragons restaurant which we accepted and were shown in by our guide at the end of the tour. Sadly, again, the discount was not offered or applied to the bill but as I never bothered to check my bill thoroughly I didn't find this out till we got home. I guess you just need to accept that on these tours the 'goodies' on offer vary from day to day and depend on your tour guide. Still good value though and would do it again.
When I went down this past September I was looking forward to doing the new attractions and shows that weren't there my previous trip (2005). This was one that I was highly looking forward. But I must say I left disappointed. I just didn't like it. I'm not saying it was cheaply made or poorly produced or anything like that, and I'm not knocking anybody who likes it. But personally I couldn't get past seeing the actors faces. I wish there were a way this was done more in line with VotLM, where you know the guys are there holding the puppets, but it is difficult to see. I really liked the movie, but I didn't like seeing it transformed into a musical.
OK, it is "CHEESY", and sure the animals are never going to be mistaken for their Animal Kingdom cousins (although the elephants are almost believable), and although I missed this detail on my first visit in 1976....the skippers do very good steering while looking astern, it is still a good time! With a FastPass, the wait to board was not long (we practically got right on, on a busy afternoon), but the wait to get off the ride did get long! There were 3-5 boats stacked up at the end of the ride stopped until they could reach the dock. The jokes are so canned, but I agree...the right Skipper/Guide will truly make the trip! Perhaps the biggest "joke" is how they never fire the pistol anymore, the skipper just points it at the hippos and says "bang!" and the hippo submerges. See, they listen to him! Ha Ha Ha!
I had really looked forward to going on Soarin' and finally got a chance over the Thanksgiving holiday. The movie was GREAT! I'll agree though that you really want to get a FASTPASS early to avoid the loooong wait in the Standby line (we had FastPasses, good thing, since the standby wait was 105 minutes!). I also felt like the picture was blurry if I looked anywhere but straight ahead, (we were on the left side of the theater) and this took away from the beautifull scenery. I missed the scent effects, but that may have been due to my sudden onset of fear of heights. I've never really had a problem before, but maybe it is the lack of anything under your feet on the ride? Anyway, I just kept silently reminding myself that "I'm strapped in, I'm strapped in, over and over.....and finally I started to enjoy it! Would I go again? Most likely, after all, my 5-y.o. Nephew loved it!
I was looking forward to seeing the new version of The Livving Seas, now with a NEMO slant, I really liked the Living Seas and was a bit affraid of what they might do in transforming it. Well, what's left of the old Living Seas is still pretty good, and parts of the new features are very good! The disappointment part though is the part where you ride in a shell along various scenes portraying a search for Nemo. After the wait in the queue line which does a good job of making you feel like you are underwater ( a little too dark though!), we finally entered the ride vehicles and moved through the ride. I found it to be almost boring (maybe as an adult?) with almost no real plot or story, just a random search for Nemo that just "lacked it". My 5-year-old nephew who hasn't seen FINDING NEMO yet seemed even more bored with it. Actually the EAC effects with the bubbles and such was the best part to me, you still fee llike you are moving even as the ride pauses due to the moving bubbles, also the way that the NEMO characters appear to be swimming with real fish near the end was pretty good too, although not fully up to what I expected. I would say that "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" is overall pretty good, keeping some of the old displays while adding some good kiddie activities, Turtle Talk with Crush was really good! But I'd skip the ride and enter through the entrance/exit that used to be just the exit before (near gift shop).
I loved the show, it took alittle while for the staff to get everyone in and the show started but other than that it was an awsome show. Crushes part was the best! The kids loved it...
Stitch is huge was of imagineering time and money. The thing is a big waste of time. The story is boring, the effects are dumb, the show is not interesting in any way. You will leave this attraction wondering why you spent the time to consider going, and you will not return. This should be closed to prevent further imbarassment to Disney and be replaced with something actually worth standing in line for. When you see the wait is 10-15 minutes, there's a reason folks. It's boring and no one wants to go.
I was excited to see the Country Bear Jamboree, as it was removed from Disneyland several years ago, and so I have not seen it in a long time. I have to say that after just seeing it again at WDW, I'm shocked at how boring and lame it is now. No wonder Disneyland gave it up and removed it for a new attraction. WDW needs to do the same and use the space for something more valuable. The animatronics are dated (with little motion) the music and general pace is boring. None of the characters are really interesting except for Big Al, but the rest of the show comes off feeling like a waste of time. Save yourself 15+ minutes and have lunch or see another more interesting attraction.
It was an amazing ride! I got the very front at one point and it was awesome. Although, if you don't like going backwards in the dark, I suggest you don't ride. The yeti seems so real!
They are a British rock band and sing songs very similar to those done by the Beatles. Located in the United Kingdom pavilion, this is an entertaining show. If you like the Beatles, you will probably like the British Invasion.
I've seen them many times before the American Adventure show. They set a great patriotic theme and have great skills. The group is very engaging with the audience. They usually draw quite a large crowd as well.
I visited Disney World last week and visited The Laugh Floor three times. Each time it was more amazing than the last. Yes, the routines were similar, but each was different enough to let you know that somehow, someway, the cartoon characters on screen were actually interacting with the audience. If you enjoyed The Laugh Floor, then you will also like Turtle Talk with Crush in The Sea at Epcot. For those who didn't enjoy it, then you probably didn't enjoy the Disney Experience. Sad for you.
^^ Best quote form the show, Cranium Command which seems to never be open anymore. It was a pretty good show. The body part characters were funny and the preshow was very good. CC is quite an underrated show actually. 7.5
This choral group at the America pavilion can hold harmonies tighter than braids and range across the scale from baratone to first soprano. If you're nearby during a performance, be sure to stop in, take five minutes off your feet, and enjoy the songs and comical bits in between. (They also sing in colonial costumes which is extra fun.)
This audience-involved gameshow left Hollywood Studios in mid-2006 to make room for a Toy Story Mania, which will be a 3-D experience similar in some respects to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at MK. It was an exhilirating experience while it lasted, but adios!
Don't make an effort to see them, but if you catch them during a performance - either walking by or you're at the America pavilion - definitely stop and listen. They do brief performances and are a relaxing diversion with quite a lot of a talent.
Unlike most 3-D shows, this one is soft and warm so it won't scare the bejeebers out of little kids. Several effects include wind, the smell of yummy French food, and a spritz of water. Though the images are very stylized, when Ariel throws her gems into the audience, I find myself reaching for them I'm so consumed in the realism! (For clarity, the story is that Mickey is an opera conductor who uses his sorceror's hat to conduct. But Donald gets his hands on it and it sends him rocketing through musical scenes of Disney's most popular animated movies of the late 80s through mid 90s.)
The guys play music outside Mission: Space on select days. (I sorta stalk them to be honest.) They're very thematic. For example, during the Garden Festival, they play with troughs on clay pots. Noisy for kids and smart for adults, check these guys out if you get the chance.
Lucky left for Toyko and Hong Kong two years ago. But she was a great diversion in her stint at WDW. For clarity, Lucky was a walk-around animatronic dino at the Animal Kingdom who interacted in a life-like way with the gathered crowd and her "zookeeper."
This is actually better than the Broadway production of the Lion King. I consider it one of the Top 3 attractions at Walt Disney World. The singers, dancers, acrobats, and circus people will have you laugh and cheer for this informal-style stage show. (Fun fact: some of the "tumbler monkeys" were former Olympic gymnasts!) If you miss this, call Disney for a refund because you've missed the time of your life - no exageration!
This troop of British comedic actors travels across World Showcase doing their spins on classic tales from - or about - that country. For example, in the UK you can hear about King Arthur and the Holy Grail (but on a budget and incorporating people in the gathered audience). These comedians are brilliant improvisors and the people they pick from the crowds are always hilarious - in their own special ways. Don't miss them or you have lost a highlight of Epcot!
I didn't think the Living Seas was all that great before, and now its still mediocre but character crazy too! This is Epcot for crying out loud - the one park that is not really attached to the Disney films and television programs. Although it is a nice addition for families with children in the under-7 set, I fear this is the beginning of the end for Epcot after hearing the report that Test Track might become connected to "Cars." As a final note, the tanks are the largest man-made ones in the world. Some of the coral looks like it belongs in an art gallery! But the educational piece is dissapearing and that's what made Living Seas a worthwhile experience.
King Hassan II of Morocco sent his royal architects here to help with the construction to this pavilion in 1983 and '84 - it was not here on opening day. The attention to authenticity and detail shows. Morocco is foreign in the best way and the entertainment is a great diversion.
Mexico is a rather diverse pavilion with several moods and settings. The outside is more festive and spicy - very TexMex. Inside the Aztec pyramid, it is more romantic and soothing. The water feature to the back is so well-designed and well-lit I just have to mention it here! The new attraction is a new coat of paint on an old car, but the rest of the pavilion - including a store with authentic artifacts - is a splendid experience.
The gardens here are the best and the only one in World Showcase in which EVERY SINGLE plant is native to Japan. The rest of the pavilion has no big negatives and the architecture is an Imagineers dream - lots of forced perspective and landscaping effects.
The trains- authentic steam trains. Scenery- A little too far and in between.
Queue- Boring, nothing but a line. Preshow- Nothing, but occasionally Nemo floats in one of the video bubbles, which is fun for kids. Show itself- Fantastic! A great musical show with stellar numbers. In the end, not as good as Lion King, also in Ak
We love entering Epcot through the International Gateway. Going through the security bag check is relatively painless here because not only do you usually have a short line but you have the added benefit of plenty of beautiful greenery and shade, great World Showcase music surrounding you and there the area is filled with a relaxed ambiance. It's a wonderful place to begin your park visit!
My wife and I have been lucky enough to do Disneyworld vacation almost every year for the past 15 years. After that many visit you get your list of favorite things to do at each park. We both love to eat and Epcot has no shortage of great restaurants. The San Angel Inn in Mexico is one of our favorites as is Le Cellier in Canada. In the last few years we've really made an effort to track down the various bands and street performers in the World Showcase. There is a list of performance times at the main entrance to the park. Last year we saw a balancing act with two guys stacking chairs in France, drummers in Japan, and a Comedy Troupe in Britian. There are also Origami artists, jugglers, and many other street performers. You just have to track them down. As for bands, Off Kilter( a Scottish band) performs constantly on stage and behind the British exhibit, in the garden, there is a stage where a Beatles tribute band plays. While on the subject of bands, check out Mulch, Sweat, and Shears in MGM. They are great. Back to Epcot, we go around Christmas (coming up soon) and each country has their own Christmas Storyteller. Anyway, just some of the great, maybe lesser known stuff at Epcot.
This is a very interesting show that not many other companies do. The fountain shoots water in different patterns and designs while synchronized to music. It's a fun thing to watch at almost anytime. The lights are are great too. It is worth seeing at least once.
Great show. The MK needed an attraction like this...
Great ride. My own 'personal' complaint is that this ride made me a bit sick (during the backwards (and upwards) rentry into the mountain). I'm fine with just about any coaster ride but Everest did me in...being in one of the back cars seems much worse than being the in one of front few cars. Typical Disney, great stroyline, attention to detail, etc.
Packed with information on Walt Disney and the begining of the Disney company and parks this is a great attraction. There is a lot of Disney exhibits and artifacts as well as historical things on Walt Disney. The whole place is very well put together and educational. It is quite interesting as well even with all the other things to do at MGM.
The trail has many animals along its course. The tigers are the best exhibit but the Komodo Dragon is cool as well. It has a unique room filled with bats and a bird sanctuary as well. The Maharajah trail is a good place for a walk. It isn't usually too crowded either.
I never actually got to experience this wonderful snorkeling opportunity because breathing in the mask is harder than it looks! You can't breath through your mouth perse because then you suck up water between where your lips meet. Also, the alleged "One-Size-Fits-All-Masks" are a scam. Smaller people should specifically ask for a kids mask and don't back down until the desk guy gives it to you! However, if you get the chance and can master the snorkel mask, I've heard it is an enlightening experience; you get to swim amongst coral and real fish - including small sharks! Do it if you can and early in the morning. As a final note, the water is icy because of the climate control. Allow yourself a moment to adjust before paddling out. Ask for a life jacket to help you float because you are not permitted to kick and must stroke VERY gently.
Though not bad, Keelhaul is the worst of the Falls. The combination of being alone in your own inner-tube and the tameness of the slide make it pretty lackadaisacal. Still, if you want to do as many slides as possible, you'll probably enjoy yourself and get a good squeal or two.
Of the three "Falls" at Typhoon Lagoon, this is the longest and zaniest. Don't think it's an intense slide with long drops and lots of screaming - it's pretty darn tame. But nonetheless, it's a spirited good time. Note: unlike Gangplank Falls, Mayday is one-person tubes and has some sharp turns. And unlike both Gangplank and Keelhaul, Mayday requires lots of walking up to the top of the mountain - stairs, stairs, and more stairs - so enjoy the ride down!
A gentle family raft down a slide. The more people, the faster it goes. It is incredibly tame and a thrill for anyone without severe back problems. Lure elderly travelers on and watch them get soaked by the waterfall!
What a show! Take the best parts of Wishes, times them by ten, give it a spooky makeover and you have HalloWishes. The pyro is awesome. The remixed `villains` music tracks are great IMHO. The castle lighting is superb. And the ghost host narrator - and his guests - keeps things getting too scary for the little ones. *Spoiler alert* The show is best viewed from the south side of the hub; somewhere near the first bridge you`d cross as you leave Main St, USA heading for the castle. From here you`ll see the castle lighting and projections, the firworks launched both off the Fantasyland roofs and the castle, the high level fireworks plus the grand finale 180-degree barrage that fills the sky in front of you. It seems the 360 degree perimeter launches have been dropped to keep transportation running, though the same ammount of launch sites have been condensed and placed between Adventureland and Tomorrowland.
quite prossibly the most overhyped attraction on property. i saw so many commercials on TV before i rode it for the first time and thought it was going to be the best attraction Disney has ever created. it wasn't....i was completely disappointed. i think whole idea is really cool but the intensity just doesn't do it for me. not intense at all, yeah i can feel the g-forces but its only for like 2 seconds then they're gone. i'll still ride it every once and a while if there is a short line or somebody wants to ride with me but id rather not wate my time. they tell you not to look right or left...i did, nothing happened. i closed my eyes (they tell you not to do that)...guess what nothing happened. i like how they split it up into green team (less intense) and orange team (more intense)....because the original was so intense for some guest....it wasnt. they need to make the orange team more intense or create a new team to make more intense. this attraction was way too overhyped
This is the best fireworks show ever, I'll miss it when they make a new one...
The refurb of the Haunted Mansion was long overdue, and WDI came thru with flying colors. The multi-positional audio in both the stretching room and the Doombuggies is awesome, and very much appreciated after years of crackling audio or even no audio. The new scenes, especially the attic scene, are what many expect out of WDI - top notch. You'll want to ride several times just to take in all the changes. I know I did! This is once again a can't-miss E-ticket attraction at the Magic Kingdom.
A great attraction for kids. They have a blast digging up bones and the playground is pretty good sized as well.
The U.K. has a few performance groups that are worth looking at such as the British Invasion. There are a lot of shops in the "country." I've never had the food though. They could make a great ride or show for England...
It is believed that the king of Morocco sent an architect to Orlando to make sure the place is authentic looking. It is very unlike the other countries and is unique in that way. The shops are quite interesting as are the restaurants. The place could use a ride or show though.
I really have nothhin to say
Didn't think much of it, but worth the wait to hear my Nana freak out. She likes it though
I still love this ride, but they took the song out of it, its still a visual masterpiece. Queue- Very intristing with the dungons. Sound- Terrible now they took the song out. AA- Very detailed and the Jack Sparrow figure in particular Exit- plants you in a very cool gift shop
This is one of the older rides, but is still loved Wait line-Nothing to see here Veichle- A flying pirate ship. Scenes- A birds eye veiw at the story, I love when the ship shoots at you. Sound-o.k. Captin Hooks voice was terrible and did'nt sound like him at all.
Its o.k. Not too scary unless you have a little kid. Theres trolls, waterfalls, and polar bears. One huge complaint is when you get off, you have to wait to get out [or take the movie, your choice].
We ate in that revolving restraunt and saw boats going by and we decided to go on. This is educational but very intresting. I definitly recomend it!
This ride is so amazing, with all real animals. Even on the waiting line, you learn and are able to observe animals. The veichles are realistic and the tour guide brimming with information. The animals are very close and there seems to be no barrier between you and the dangorous animals. Theres also a very cool story about Little Red kiddnapped by poachers. An amazing ride. I love it
Wow! This ride is very fun, you get wet, and you see the damage loggers have done to a rainforest. I have 2 complainants on this ride. One its pretty short, and two, the one big time you get wet is on the drop. Its still an awesome ride, though
A full classic, so stop with all the whining its perfect
This is one of the best rides in Mk. A thin storyline about a bride, funny tombstones, and some hitchhiking ghosts make this ride a must see classic
I enjoyed this a lot more then what was there last
I`ll admit this ride is orginal and the preshow is very intresting, but it`s way to jerky and disoranting
This is pure insanity! This ride is more addicting then potato chips
This is my second favorite ride [Soar`n is the best]. It had some great visuals, an amazing story-line, and most important it was fun!
When you compare this to the other ride, of course it will seem bad..but you have to think about the people coming to Disney for the first time, or those that didn't get to see the original. In which case, it's a very fun ride, no lines, and a great rest for your feet. Pretty humorous, the kids will love it. :) And afterwards, there's a fun play place that everyone can enjoy.
For all the times I skipped out on this one in the past, I wish I didn't! The que is gorgeous and the attention to detail in the entire thing is just absolutely stunning. Words can not describe how wonderful and well done this ride is. Go check it out for yourself!
The best land in MGM. It has the Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' roller coaster. Enough said already but it is also home to Beauty and the Beast and some shops and food stands. Having the best attractions does an awful lot for it!
this ride is one of my all time fav's at wdw, i love the concept and everything else, i can't wait to ride it again
Highlighted by Kilimanjaro Safaris, Africa is one of the best lands at AK. The scenery looks like Africa is supposed to be and it has a trail near it. The safari is by far the greatest thing it holds though. There are quite a few entertainment things and shops too...
Fantasyland is what a lot of people think of when Disney is the subject. It is home to a large amount of character oriented things and full of classic dark rides. Cinderella Castle looms over it. Many of the original Disney rides are in Fantasyland. It is a great place for anyone.
Reflections of Earth tells a story about everybody's lives coming together to form one great idea. The fireworks are woven into the theme as the show progresses. The earth is huge and the images on it and music is a well executed plan. The grand finale is amazing. An incredible amount of pyrotechnics are shot off all around the lagoon. I wonder who pays for all of those each night?
Magin Kingdom's firework show is very fitting to the park. Wishes is pretty emotional because of the soundtrack, music, and theme of wishing upon a star. It is a perfect way to end a day at MK and uses a beautiful display of fireworks.
Germany has pretty good theming but has no attractions to speak of. A ride or show would add a lot to the country. It does have quite a few shops and restaurants however. It also serves those huge beer mugs (Hope one doesn't fall into the wrong hands). Anyway, Germany is a decent experience overall.
Spectromagic is the greatest parade in all of WDW. The lights are amazing. The soundtrack is good and the characters are put into the experience well. Spectromagic rules, even if you don't like parades very much, it is worth checking out!
This parade is unique but weird. There are monster sized puppets walking through the pathway. It's cool that they interact with the guests. The parade has a buch of abstract looking drum floats and stuff of the sort. The soundtrack is pretty good. They seem to have discontinued the parade but still play the music in world showcase.
The landscape is really nice. There is a large garden and a rocky place with waterfalls located near the show. The restaurants are very expensive. O Canada is getting an update now and should be a great 360 show. Canada is a great place to view Illuminations as well.
Norway is one of the better countries in world showcase. Maelstrom is the best part of it. The dessert shops are very good and the Scandinavian feel is well done. It appears that the viking ship is just a decoration now.
Tom Sawyer island is reached by taking the raft across the pond. On it, there are treehouses, caves and other things to explore. It isn't overly impressive but still makes a good attraction.
At the end of Imagination, people must walk through image works. It has a variety if exhibits, the best being the one that you can conduct music by just hand signals. The place is often loud and we usually don't spend much time there. There is a lot of Kodak stuff in it as well.
The cokes of world are pretty good for the most part but some are nasty. Mexico is probably the best. The beginning where the guests walk through the snow and ice place was cool (haha!). The place has been updated since then I believe...
The Astro orbiter is at the top of Tomorrowland. It actually is a moderate thrill compared to Dumbo and Aladin. You have to take an elevator to get to the top where the ride is and the view is great. It is a great family ride. The lines are often unbearable though.
Climax was the best but the ride itself was impressive. Ive been on this a few times now and it still makes me jump. Brilliant ride. Completely different to things Ive been on before!
First off, its a ride situated quite badly in Dinoland. Nothing to do with Dinosaurs. Jolts you violently. Not the best ride. Didn't enjoy it at all!
My sons (12, 10, 8) and I love this pool. We could literally stay in it for hours. The waves are HUGE! Youngest son invented a cool game while in the pool: when the big wave is about to hit, dive down and grab the drain grates. See who can stay the most vertical as the wave hits. It's harder than you think.
The four pianists we saw could all clearly play the piano and play well. Good singers, too. They could play nearly everything that was thrown at them (though I stumped them with "Nightswimming" by R.E.M., a beautiful piano number). The mood in the club is light, and you can easily get your requests played. It was wonderful to hear "Vienna" by Billy Joel, a favorite of ours.
As long as Disney continues to carefully screen potential monster comedians, this show will be funny. A couple of the funniest lines could not have been scripted, nor easily planned for. They came from the quick witted minds of the voice talent. I'm still not sure exactly how this show fits into Tomorrowland, but it is more entertaining than its predecessor, which was a good show.
If the line is more than 15 minutes long, it's probably not worth the wait for a slow ride up to the top (though it is certainly a pleasant ride). More than anything, the chair lift adds to the exquisite theming of Blizzard Beach. It's cool that it's there, even if you don't use it.
... still not very entertaining. There is nothing even remotely approaching dazzling here. The Caballeros overlay contributes some fun to what was a dull, lifeless attraction. Not a lot of learning here, either.
The 360 degree screens add a lot to the expeience. The show happens all around you. Wonders of China meets my expectations for a movie type show. The outside is more grand but details are present throughout the building.
Went to Disney World for the first time ever in May 2005. Illuminations was my absolutely favorite attraction! Can't wait until our Dec. 2008 trip to see it again.
This NEVER gets old! My family once did this for 2 1/2 hours straight with no break. The little kid area off to the side is not discussed enough and is well-designed. It allows younger Mouskateers to enjoy the waves, but they are light but the time they reach that far corner. Position yourself at a location in this pool (that produces waves up to 5 feet above the natural water level every 90 seconds!) where the water sits just above your waist during the rest periods. This will give you a chance to keep your head above water, but make it a challenge. The only negative thing about this enormous pool of ecstatic children and dedicated fathers is that the pool flooring is cottage cheese style so when you repeatedly fall on top of it, it can give you raspberries, deep cuts, and open sores. Because of this and other attractions at Typhoon Lagoon that remove swimsuits easily, wear a swimsuit that covers the most body mass it can.
Innoventions is supposed to have a variety of new technologies and stuff of the sort. It does have some interesting exhibits, but it isn't a miraculous place. We don't always visit Innoventions, but it is an nice change once is an while
The newest and largest park at Disney. Animal Kingdom has some great rides including Kilamanjaro safaris, Kali river rapids, and Expedition Everest. It is the only park to have many live animals and trails to see them. The tree of Life is a very intersting centerpiece with tons of animals carved into it. The lands of it are really well done as well. This park would be an 8 or 9 but with the edition of Expedition Everest(perhaps the best ride in the all of WDW), it is indeed a 10.
MGM or Hollywood studios is the smallest park and styled a bit different. It sort of has a center point (Great movie ride and hat), but there are streets that wrap around each other almost into an oval of ball shape. Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller coaster are both in the top 5 rides in all of WDW. The movie theme is an exciting subject and attracts people to the park. It has a huge amount of shows as well.
Warning: THIS RIDE IS NOT FOR PEOPLE WHO CANNOT HANDLE JERKY MOTIONS OR KIDS (OR ANYONE) SKARED BY DINOSAURS This ride is one of my favorite rides in the World. It starts off with a great preshow, and then you head into the ride. You start off going along, seeing scary sights, and then the computer senses dinosaurs, and you're off, zooming along, this way and that, avoiding dinosaurs and meteors. The audio-animitronics are some of the best, and the ride is very frantic and fun. A must-see.
This ride is top notch, and one of the best rides anywhere. The story and theming of this ride are too amazing for words. You can't believe the monumental amount of theming in the ride. And the ride is an amazing feeling. The drops are an amazing feeling. Overall, this extraroidinary ride is the best at Disney World, and a definate must see for everyone!
This is a great classic from Disney. It is a fairly tame rollercoaster, just enough thrills to make it very fun. The effects in this ride are top notch, and you will want to keep your eyes open to see all the sights in this ride. It is a must-see for everyone of all ages.
Its alright. Overrated. The speed pick up is great but it brakes way too early. the intensity of the ride was short lived. The idea is great so they should have done more with it. But yeah its pretty good.
Enjoyed it quite a bit the first time I went on this but came back for more the second and third time, and loved it even more. A rollercoaster with a twist. The bonus was we went on it 3 times in two days at Animal Kingdom and the longest queue was 15 minutes!
ONE OF MY FAV RIDES AT DISNEY WORLD, I LOVE IT WHEN YOU GO BACKWARDS. THE WHOLE RIDE IS REALLY WORTH THE WAIT.
It does a good job causing guests to feel the beauty and romance of France. The show is also gives a good feel of being in the country. It isn't the greatest movie and in a few years an update would be welcome. The entrace area is interesting as well.
The waiting line and space before the show is very clean looking but could do with a sort of preshow like many other shows. The show itself is great. It involves many of the Disney characters in Donald's misadventure with the sorcerer's hat. It involves smell as well as other sensory feelings in the performance. It is done very well and you must see it if you can get in. The wait is often quite long.
This is the best show at Disney. enough said.
Muppetvision is hilarious from the preshow to the actual theater. THe effects are realistic but sort of old. The storyline is great. The whole thing is a blast. A must see! One of the best 3D show at WDW.
I don't know, after all of the hype, was pretty excited to see this one on the last visit in March 07. We're returning on December 6 and probably will skip this..for me, I saw it once, great but there wasn't anything spectacular about it that would have me waiting in line for it again.
With all of the Stich marketing and hype, I expected a lot more out of this attraction. First of all, I thought it was a ride, but instead it's a walk through show type of experience. Really, it isn't too bad of a show and the end has some nice effects, but this show could be so much better as a type of ride. With all the hype it had, Stich is kindof a let down, but if it there hadn't been so much anticipation, it would have a better rating... 5.5 really
As one of MGM's oringinal attraction's Indiana Jones is a classic show. The stunts are entertaining and they show you how some are done. It is a good experience.
The audience sits in the middle of the show and it happens all around them. The birds, songs and theming are nice. Under new management is unlike anything else in its unique stlye. The tiki godess is pretty bizarre though. As one of Walt Disney's originals, the tiki room is really worth a stop to.
The country bears are always a good show. The songs and humor are great. That's saying something, cause I hate country music!
The AD Club is by far the best live entertainment at WDW. It would make for a great TV sitcom. I guess that it helps to be fun loving and a little crazy to enjoy it. Plenty of laughs, great actors & actresses (many of them have movie, Broadway & tv credits), 2 or more shows simultaneously in different rooms, very friendly atmosphere, sodas & alclcoholic drinks. Four or five hours may pass and it will seem like only an hour or two (time flys when you're having this much fun!), come and go as you please. The AD Club originally opened at 7:00 pm, however, private parties and functions often postpone the opening to around 9:00 in the evening.
Deep in the of Life lies AK's best show. It combines the Bug's Life theme with the classic Disney 3D show. The effects are great. When the bugs do things to the guests, it really feels like the real thing. Truly a masperpiece and a must see. Maybe a bit intense for small children though.
There are never really any lines for the treehouse. It is massive and has plenty of things to look at including the large water pulley system. There is a great view of the castle towards the top as well. It's a good attraction for when you wait for your fastpass time to come or something of the sort.
EPCOT seamlessly blends the future world technology theme with the world's fair of world showcase despite the two having very little in common. The rides are great, but they should keep the old dark rides that they used to have. Illuminations is spectacular. The entire park has a magical glow to it as well. Test Track is probably the best attraction. EPCOT is no doubt an elite world class park.
There isn't a huge need for it, but it is a nice journey around plenty of dinosaurs to see. It is a pretty small trail but still is a good place to walk around.
The renovation to include Capn Jack and Davy Jones destroyed this attraction. "Yo Ho Yo Ho" is gone and the storyline makes no sense if you can't hear the almost inaudible voices. Trying to put a new attraction in an old facility was the biggest mistake. Aside from the last scene in the treasure room and Capn Jack popping up in a few places, the sets and animatronics are exactly the same. The music and mischevous nature of this ride are diminished. Now it is an ominous tale in dark chambers. No longer a decent ride.
The review directly below this was placed incorrectly and I apologize. Disney's Wide World of Sports is actually a fun place, but I've never had an opportunity to stay there long.
This is a sports bar/restaurant styled like a basketball court with all the classic memorabilia and such. It is occassionally noisy, but Monday and Tuesday nights are quieter as this place usually attracts more locals than Disney guests. A relaxed dinner in the sometimes stuffy atmosphere of the Boardwalk is a great break inbetween Jellyrolls and that one awesome cookie place whose name escapes me. Nothing beats it for Boys' Night Out or when the big game is on and even though your vacationing, the dedicated fans - read: men - insist on watching. Try the buffalo wings.
i loved the movie, but the seas with nemo and friends is one of the worst attractions on property. i went on the ride the first time i got to epcot as a CP in jan. '07 with high expectations, but was utterly dissappointed. the story was very bad..."where's nemo?, where's nemo?" got old real quick. the only thing going for it was the scenery, the EAC, and the end when you get to see all the real fish. if the wait is over 20 minutes, you aren't with a child under 7, or need to get out of the sun...i suggest you highly skip this ride.
Yes, those artist easels by the lagoon aren't just for show; real live French artists will draw your portrait or caricature in pastels for $32. (Resort IDs not accepted.) It's worth the cost! These are pros who capture anybody beautifully while not altering there appearance. This was actually a highlight of the trip and it was a great vacation. Ask for their advice on framing - they're experts. The rest of France is charming. The Patisserie has many mouth-watering but light desserts and the atmosphere is a romantic's dream. Only place for the little guys to meet Belle and Beast.
That play you say you saw, Romeo and Edna, was done by the World Showcase Players. They are a troop of English stand-up comics who have been making me laugh until my sides hurt for almost ten years. Look for them on the Times Guide. They play in Italy and the UK and the time of writing. Italy itself is beautifully executed. If only the gondolas tied up by the Venetian bridge actually were able to be ridden as originally intended.
I am aware that it is spelled Tienemen Square, not Tienman Square. My sincere apologies.
Of all the pavilions, China has been given the largest dose of political correctness. I mean, just to film Wonders of China, the government had to get involved because Americans would be coming in the country. Despite the detailed architecture, vast gardens, and sweeping landscaping, you can't ignore that there is no mention of the Cultural Revolution anywhere.
Up until three years ago, that modest log cabin out front by the ground entrance to this pavilion sold the most delicious sugary snack on the face of earth: fresh-baked, Mickey-shaped beaver tails. (Also known as bear claws.) For some unannounced reason it shutdown with the promise of returning. It hasn't and I am grieving. Bring it back, Walt Disney, please. As for the rest of the pavilion, I'm not commenting until the new version of the O, Canada! is introduced. The architecture, however, is rustic and beautiful.
With the combination of delectable pastries, Maelstrom, and the Viking Boat playground, the 8-13 set will love Norway. At Christmas, it puts on the best open-air holiday skits.
This ride is very brief - its a little over two minutes. However, while you're on you will love it! You are put into a huge multi-person raft and sent careening down a river that is elaborately designed and cosmetically gorgeous. It isn't very intense, but quite.... chilling. Okay I won't let you be caught off guard. On this ride, you get wet. Okay, not wet, soaked. No, not even soaked. DRENCHED TO THE BONE! But that's the point. So if you don't want to, don't ride because it takes away all the fun. Don't cover up in ponchos. Take your shoes off even though the cast members tell you not to and enjoy it. Even if you wear full scuba gear, your butt will get wet from the water on the seat. Some seats are worse than others, but you can't predict. So just allow yourself to cool off in the sun - it's Florida; it's not gonna take forever. Lastly, don't critique the deforestation moral: it's eloquently done... not to mention the truth.
By 11 AM, even in the regular season this ride is prone to 2 1/2 hour standby lines and Fastpasses usually are gone by a little after noon. This is just another reason to get to the park at opening so you can ride twice without waiting. Alright, now for the ride synopsis: you're at a GM car testing facility. The pre-show is the best in Epcot. After watching it, you'll get in a MUCH shorter line and get in your open-air "test" car. In other words, you're the crash test dummy! I don't wanna give away the surprises, but you top out at over 65 mph and come to both screeching halts and near collisions. Still, most who pass the height requirement will probably be fine fright-wise. A frantic, snazzy, thrilling attraction that is easy on the stomach and your nerves. Smile when they take the picture!
For 3 years now, WDI has been saying that "soon" this attraction will go on full shutdown to update it so it will be about the newest three movies. Although the current ride is witty and snazzy, it hasn't changed at all since its opening in 1989. (Even the haircuts on the tourists in the preshow are outdated.) But for now, first time riders who haven't memorized the jokes will find that this is one of the attractions that you're happier when you got off than we you got on.
Meet up with your childhood friends: Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Rabbit, and Tigger as your journey in a "hunny" pot through various animatronic scenes with surprisingly simple but incredibly cool special effects that include fiber optics. Despite the characters, all ages will adore this ride that is both sweet and memorable. Be sure to ride before 11 AM or use FastPass because despite being a constant-loader, the lines accumulates fast.
This part-movie and part-animatronic water ride will surprise you considering how tucked away it. You'd never think it was a major attraction, but Disney invested quite a bit in this one. Ellen DeGeneres is dreaming that she's on "Jeopardy!" and is losing to a college rival when her neighbor Bill Nye the Science Guy shows up and takes her back in time. (This show is all about energy resources.) The movie theater you are sitting in turns into a boat and the screen lifts to give way to an elaborate animatronic water ride about how the dinosaurs became fossil fuel and life evolved on earth afterwards. The movie resumes again, Bill teaches Ellen about oil, coal, alternative energies, etc. and Ellen goes back to "Jeopardy!" in a cheesy ending where she wins. As this is sponsored by Exxon, global warming advocates, expect to be disgruntled. Also, small children may be frightened by the large animatronic dinosaurs despite their distance from the boat. Creative, inventive, and laugh-out-loud hilarious, don't miss it. A tip though: THE SHOW IS OVER 45 MINUTES LONG. TAKE THE BATHROOM BREAK BEFOREHAND.
Disney wanted this to look cheap, first of all to those who critique it for being carnival quality. It's supposed to be reminiscent of those Route 66 sideshow carnivals. The backstory that WDI came up with this section of DinoLand USA is important to understand the appearance of the ride. So until you learn a little more: LAY OFF STUFFY PURISTS! The ride is "whirls" of fun and spins you into smiling. It is a very, very tame coaster with only one dip big enough to be called a drop. Not a must, but highly-reccommended for the 8-17 set.
The renovation did zip for this attraction. It was a new coat of paint on a broken Chevy. Now, instead of us just touring through Mexico, through colorful animated birds do it for us and we follow them along. The audio isn't improved at all and the times I've ridden it, the boats have gotten backed up in the "river." Disney: give up on this puppy and make the investment to start from scratch.
Let's face it: no matter how much we hate that infernal song and we think WDI is using it to brainwash us, no Disney trip is complete without the Parade of Nations. Deep down, it is dear to all of us who insisted on riding it nine times when we four-and-a-half. Although it isn't gonna make college guys get up and dance, it can do no harm and is adorable.
I think the Haunted Mansion is a Disney classic that is well-presented and the spooky sets are beautifully macabre. However, it is overrated by most Disney-o-philes. I'm not saying that there is anything overwhelmingly bad about it, but there are many attractions that are superior to it... by far.
The key to enjoying this classic Disney ride through simulated jungles from around the world populated by animatronic species is to accept that it's cheesy. Yes, the technology needs updating and yes the jokes are all punny. THAT'S WHAT MAKES DISNEY FUN AND LOVABLE! If you laugh when you don't feel like it and allow yourself to be entertained, then the simplicity of the attraction and the energy of your boatman will be a great fifteen minutes off your feet and in the shade.
Me and my bro - we're teens - adored this! The flashing lights, noisy games, and virtual technology rock hard! But when I took my mom and twenty-something aunt at their own request - despite all my warnings - they freaked out with the overstimulation. Both of them were totally exhausted by the end. But for teens trustworthy enough to be releashed from parental supervision - even if the adults are just somewhere else in Downtown Disney - not to be missed! Contrary to popular belief, almost everything comes with cost of admission aside from food. GO CHEESECAKE FACTORY EXPRESS!!!
Your "Under 7s" will love this charming attraction. The storyline is that Nemo the Clownfish has gone missing yet again and father Marlin and family friend Dory have gone looking for him along with his other aquatic friends. Again we meet Crush and Squirt the Turtle, the sharks, and even some of the Tank Gang. You climb aboard a "clam-mobile" and go along for the peaceful ride. Through simple effects, puppetry, and lighting, the story is recreated stunningly and serenly. This is a great attraction to hit right before you go back to the resort to calm down the kids. There is also some cute humor. But the best part of the attraction is when innovative new CGI technology is used so that it appears that Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Nemo's school friends, and Peach the Starfish are swimming in the real aquarium of the Living Seas with living, breathing fish. You won't believe your eyes! I wouldn't reccommend this for tourists without kids between the ages of 2 and 13, but your teens may enjoy it and older couples may as well. Parents will find the expressions on their kids' faces just priceless.
Tomorrowland, the land that is has to be updated every 20 years or so is arguably one WDW's most interesting and fun land's. The area was redone in the mid-90's to a sort of Jules Verne's vision of the future from the past. Lots of bright, neon lights light up the night sky here and there are even fake palm trees! Stitch's Escape, Buzz Lightyear, Carousel of Progress, the Laugh Floor and Space Mountain are the headliners here. I love the ambiance here, especially near Space Mountain where you can hear the Peoplemover (or TTA) whizz by above and the sounds of the Speedway cars chugging along in the distance (this was even better when the Skyway was still here)! Space Mtn is a classic and even though it is an aging veteran, it still is a blast to ride. My guilty pleasure is the Peoplemover, it provides a long and peaceful ride in the shade and hardly ever has any waits whatsoever.
Hmmmm, definitely the least interesting and overall uninspired land of the Magic Kingdom. Admittedley, this land was specifically designed for kids so obviously the kiddies are going to like this place a lot more than an adult would. The area is very tight and compact and just doesn't have that magical charm about it. There are no real restaurants or food services and the only real attraction is the Goofy's Barnstormer, a minute long roller coaster that's only worth riding if the wait is less than 2 or 3 minutes.
Cannot take another year of this. Must shut down the Disney department that created this. Must end this tacky time-slot filler. Ur. In short, it has no substance and Disney should be ashamed to have such a simple, blah parade in their repetoire. Okay I'm done now.
Gushy, but in the best sentimental Disney fashion. Julie Andrews is a beautiful narrator, of course. I can't wait until they get Mickey Mouse out of that giant snowglobe. The snippets featuring portrayals of Walter Disney and his animation team with satisfy adult fascination.
I was talking about Tapestry of Nations in the below post. Sorry folks.
I still have the CD-version of the soundtrack! This is the most stunning thing Disney has ever brought before an audience. The Millineum Celebration was unforgettable. The walking marionettes, elaborate floats, and how we kids would put our "dreams" drawn on paper stars at the KidCot Fun Stops in the nets... OH BRING IT BACK RIGHT NOW!
Imagine Cinderella's carriage streaked in Christmas lights... but designed by Disney lighting artistans! Impressive technology and stunning presentation - this is one of my fav Disney parades. Not to be missed.
Imagine you're riding Space Mountain... the sharp turns, screaming dips, and jerky whiplash that you adore. Now girls, put on a bikini. Everybody, flip on the lights. You've now gotten the basic feeling of Crush n' Gusher. A top notch ride (though not earning the name attraction due to lack of theming and storyline). I'd recommend to anybody with a pulse, but a definite no-no for those with back problems as there is almost no support underneath the two- or three-person tube.
We squeezed into the back row to watch the show as we were late getting off another ride, but it was definitely worth it! Even from the back, the show was brillian, with amazing colours, breathtaking puppetry and some of the most enjoyable music I can think of. My four year old absolutely loved it, and my wife's comment was "I wish they'd remake the film with all of those songs in it!" We bought the soundtrack, which I took home - when my daughter was listening to it, 'Go with the flow' actually made her cry with happiness! The other songs are great, too - especially 'Big Blue World' (which we had come to know well after eight trips on the Finding Nemo ride in Epcot!). An amazing production with inspirational music and lyrics. Well done to the Disney team - outstanding!
The first thing you see when you enter MK, it leads up to the castle. The stores and restaurants are uniquely themed and Main street is a great entrance to the park, maybe they could add a ride though...
I thought I would HATE this ride. I usually don't care for the "free fall" feeling. When I got on, I yelled at my BF for making me do it. By the time we were done...I was dragging him by the hand to go on again. It is the most awesome feeling known to man. The "pre-show" is pretty cool too!!! =)
This is one of my favorite rides. Its like 20 minutes long so it is good on a hot day to do and get cooled off. It is a fun ride w/ some good "shows" I loved every second that I was on this ride!
I usually like any type of rollercoaster...not this one. Don't get me wrong It was ok.. But I don't like to spin and turn at the same time. If that makes sense lol. Makes me quesy!!!! Kind of a jerky ride for me too.
This is by far my favorite show at Disney World. I love it so much! I found the whole show on YouTube and almost died. I love the way you get excited as soon as Mickey starts with the music!! The fire, the lights, and ESPECIALLY the clips displayed on the water screen!!! It is by far the most entertaining firworks show at WDW!!! =)
It isn't the most exicting ride ever, but it's full of audio animontronics singing the song. All of the different country scenes are an interesting way to view the world as well. The happiest cruise that ever sailed ws on of my favorites when I was little, but is still okay now.
One of MGM's first main rides, the Great Movie Ride is still one of the best. In the waiting line, it has various artifacts from some movies and old trailers on the big screen. The ride literally takes you into the movies and you are a part of them, like when the narrater gets kidnapped. The scenes are very good and in this classic attraction. It is neccesary to visit it at least once during your stay at MGM studios.
Yeah it is pretty much the best flume ride on the planet. Brer rabbit and friends add a lot to the overall. The laughing place is cool. The big drop is of course the main part but it would still be an 8 or 9 without it.
The teacups is always a fun attraction. The ivy sculptures outside are interesting and you can spin yourself sick on the ride. The big treapot with the mouse coming out of it always seem abouot to collide with the cups, truly an enjoyable experience.
There's nothing wrong with a cruise on an old steam boat around one side of MK. It somewhat resembles the railroad though. It's a pretty good ride.
Haunted Mansion is a must see classic ride. It uses so many old effects and lights that there is really nothing quite like it. It's more whimsical than scary but you won't have a better time in a doom buggy than here! The hitchiking ghosts are awesome as well.
this is the best ride in the whole entire world! thinking of this ride was genius! it's an awsome thrill ride if your lookin for one! i highly recomend this ride to everyone who goes to walt disney world. its a must-do! its better than a 10!!!
It really is a classic Disney attraction made for not just kids but entire families. The Carrousel does seem to just be a kids ride despite seating for adults. It still is a piece of Disney history.
The first few times I rode this ride it seemed equal to any of the other fantasyland rides. That hasn't changed too much as it still blends many of the other effects into the Winnie the Pooh storyline. It's a great family ride and loads people decently fast. This is a ride you must take at least once while visiting MK.
Soarin is by far- in a class of its own when comparing it to other WDW attractions. It's spectacular. You can't miss it !~
I can see how people may not like the ride, or even the carnival atmosphere around the ride, but I love it! I think it's fun and entertaining! There's nothing like it in the rest of WDW!! ~~~ TIP ~~~ Dont Ride PW on a full stomach!
I had low expectations after reading reviews, but the line was interesting, and the ride was just plain fun. I enjoyed (as did my son) looking for Nemo in all the screens, the anglerfish was great, the EAC was really cool, and the technology at the end showing the animated characters in the tank was great. Not a blockbuster attraction, but one that was a lot of fun for me..
Pirates is an adventureland original and still one of the greatest. The animontronics are great and the new sound and lights add even more to the already spectactular pirates ride. On the drop, once it was as wet as splash mountain! I'm not sure if Captain Jack improves or hurts the ride however...
My wife and I were very pleased with the new O Canada film. We like Martin Short a lot and feel He did a great job. I love humor. It has a way of informing, while thoroughly entertaining me. My wife does not really enjoy 360 theatres that much (let's put in swivel seats), but really enjoyed this one. We will for sure go back for more!
Unless you get to it before most people, the only way to ride is by fastpass. Soarin is very realistic and feels so much like you are actually flying. The air and scents add a lot to the ride. Definately a must see!
Space mountain has been around a while and has a sort of feel to it. The star pictures and nebulas in the waiting line are pretty cool. The ride itself wouldn't be much of a thrill at all if not for the length. Unlike most coasters at WDW, this one has decent length. It keeps going and dropping, at night, sometimes you can see the tracks which spiderweb around themselves quite a bit. Space Mountain is MK's best thrill ride.
It's a decent attraction for most standards, but Disney could make something much better than this with the space it takes up. The lines strech endlessly for this ride on top of everything. Many lower class amusement parks have something comparable to this. Tomorrowland theming isn't bad though.
Living with the land is the only original "ride" left in The Land complex. The storm, rainforest, desert, farm, and prarie scenes are probably the best parts of the ride. It is interesting to see all of the different plants that are grown in the greenhouse part and served on the restaurant menus. There is a lab where scientists are conducting experiments with the plants and food. They've taken out the tour guides and replaced them with speakers now. Better not change to much of what's being grown.
I have to say, after seeing the new show live today at Epcot, I was blown away. It was the perfect mix of old and new, the music was superb, and Martin Short was laugh-out-loud funny, but not excessively funny. He gave the movie a well-flowing narroration that was both humorous and eye-opening respectively. I don't mind that several new scenes are in 9 separate shots because it makes it funner to look around knowing that you'll never see the same show twice. The "re-ridability" has been greatly enhanced. This new show reminds me alot of Ellen's Energy Adventure in that it brings you through an educational and magnificent journey while holding your attention through witty humor. After walking out of the theatre, the first thing that came to mind was, "I wanna walk right back around and see it again!" This was one well deserved and well executed refurbishment!
The new version is definitely much more entertaining than the previous version yet it still respectfully showcases the country of Canada.
The train ride is a relaxing ride around the perimeter of MK. The "announcer" is funny and the trains go through splash mountain and to the edge of numerous other rides. It stops at Main street, Frontierland, and Toontown. Whether for enjoyment or transportation, WDW railroad is an overall great experience.
I was never a big fan of the original, but this is a very nice change. Much more entertaining, and something I might go see a little more often.
The "TTA" is a great tour through tomorrowland. It talks about most of the attractions and is a key ride itself. I haven't emperienced a wait yet. It's cool to see it running through Space mountain and Mickey's Star Traders as well. This ride is pretty much flawless.
One of the most underrated rides in all of WDW. It combines ride with show and huge screens. The part with the dinosaurs is the best but the entire ride is a great experience overall. It's also one of the longest rides in EPCOT. The preshow isn't the best, but hey the rest makes up for it. Also the waiting is fairely short unless there are about a thousand people waiting to ride.
Mexico looks like Mexico! The theming is ultra detailed and there are Mexican restaurants in the pavilion. El rio de tiempo was a pretty good ride, I hope the new version is as good. The Aztec temple is awesome as well.
I love Fantasmic!
Spaceship Earth IS EPCOT. It's the park icon and the best non thrill ride in the park. It really has been around a while but never gets old. Spaceship Earth is a must ride and the longest that I've had to wait in line was 5 minutes (in the winter season only). We'll have to see how the refurb goes and what is added to this masterpiece.
Primeval whirl is WDW's first spinning coaster. The theming is quirky and filled with comical dinosaurs and the beginning of time. There are two identical tracks for the busy season. The ride itself is a moderate thrill but still fun. The spinning makes some people sick. Primevel Whirl is a must ride in Dinoland.
A great "Dark ride" that follows Peter Pan from Neverland to earth and back and inclueds most of the characters from the movie. the lighting gives nice effects onto the characters and Captain Hook being eaten by the crocodile is a classic scene. The ride isn't really long but the lines get very lengthy very fast. It is worth seeing early but isn't worth waiting an hour to see. Fastpass is available for the attraction however.
It may be because it was the first new park after my birth, or it may be because it has the best and most diverse selection of restaurants in the resort (I like to eat), I can't help liking Epcot. I've always been a nerd. I watch the Discovery Channel and the History Channel with popcorn in hand. I've always had a need to expand my "horizons" and Epcot was a park dedicated to that principle. It has since become primarily a branding showcase with commercialism written all over it, but I still like it. It hasn't tried to change its motives for 25 years. The rides have gotten more thrilling, certainly, but the theme is still the same. My favorite ride in Epcot is always different. It's based on my mood. Do I want to fly over California, or rocket to Mars. Do I want to take a "trip" with Figment or travel back to prehistoric times. I can walk around the world in a couple of hours, eat in exotic locales, and watch one of the most amazing fireworks displays in the world.
Maybe you have to be over 30 to appreciate it, or have kids. The Magic Kingdom remains little changed (though vastly improved somehow) since my first visit in 1981. There's something about the nostalgia, and the innocence of it. You can't be human and not feel a little tingle the first time you see Cinderella's Castle from Main Street on your visit. People take more pictures of it than any other landmark in WDW, yet none of those pictures seems to capture its essence. You just have to be there. My favorite ride is still Peter Pan's Flight. I am a big fan of coasters, but there's just something about that ride. Splash Mountain is incredible. Space Mountain is that venerable old friend that you want to hang out with all day. I see something different everytime I ride Big Thunder Mountain, or Pirates of the Caribbean, or the Haunted Mansion. It never gets old (well maybe the theme to It's a Small World, but I still ride it at least once every visit). If only every park in WDW had the same grace, charm, and perfect balance of thrill and enchantment...if only.
First of all, I think Animal Kingdom has come a long way. My first visit to Animal Kingdom lasted a mere four hours. Back then, Kilimanjaro Safaris was the only big draw. I hated (that may be a strong word for it)...disliked Dinosaur (or Countdown to Extinction as it was called). I'm not a big fan of "raft" rides that soak my pants. Expedition Everest is a welcome addition, although it would seem more at home in Universal Studios. I'm a big eater, and there are not many decent eateries. I'm not paying that much money for a Happy Meal! What do they feed the tigers? Tourists? All in all, Animal Kingdom is a good theme. The immense size of the park (much like Epcot) demands constant entertainment. People aren't going to just walk for nothing. Disney can do it better. They have a good start, but I think they have a long way to go with this one.
Wow...what a great ride. The yeti is awesome. the double helix is a blast. The only problem (small at that) is that if you're not in the very front seat, when the ride goes backward some people can tend to get a little nausiated. ( if you're in the front, you can see where you are coming from) This is the reason for the 9 of 10 rather than the 10 of 10.
My favorite ride is the Rock 'N' Roller Coaster, bar none. None of the other WDW parks have anything close (although I will ride Expedition Everest for the first time this fall). Tower of Terror is fun with really great theming, probably the second greatest ride in WDW, in my humble opinion. MuppetVision 3D and Star Tours are the only other attractions I really care for in the park. Great Movie Ride is much like the Jungle Cruise with its cheesy, though thoroughly Disney, interactivity. I can't wait to see all of these attractions updated to current standards. Disney Studios could easily be doubled in size (though not cheaply) and become a real competitor to Universal Studios. The Magic Kingdom is still what draws people to Walt Disney World, especially families. Adding more family-friendly attractions and updating the more intense thrill rides would definitely make Disney Studios the real money maker of WDW.
This ride is awesome and thrilling!! It is also ONE of the best rides in Disney World, Expedition Everest is first. The way Disney designed it was amazing, it has great scenary and a great storyline. I LOVE this ride!!!!!
This ride is of course very similair to the Dumbo attraction, but there aren't half the people on Earth in line for it. The carpets operate just like Dumbo and Astro Orbiter and the Camel that spits water is a nice touch.
A good but painfully short ride. It must be 3-4 minutes long and condenses the story line into the very small time. The wait lines aren't ever long which is nice if you want to ride it multiple times. It may be a bit "scary" for very young kids however. Still, it complements Fantasyland's other rides nicely
It has it all, the intricate theming, the storyline, and the thrill. The best ride in all of Walt Disney World, hands down.
Test Track is awesome. While waiting in line, you see all types of automotive tests and crash test dummies. On the ride, you experience a shortened version of what cars really are tested on. It is more or less realistic but makes for a good ride. The barrier test is the best, the car actually accelerates to 60 plus mph while going outside the ride. Fastpass is a good thing for Test Track though.
Dumbo is a MK original and really a great kid's ride. However many people seem to think that and the lines get long fast. If you want to ride it a few times, go right after the park opens. You probably sacrifice short lines for other attractions though. There are many rides like Dumbo, but this is the first.
Adventureland looks like a jungle, featuring Jungle Cruise, Alladin's magic carpets, and the tiki birds, it also has the Swiss family treehouse which gives a good view of the park and something to do if the lines are long on everything else. Pirates of the Carribean also carries out the adventure theme. Adventureland isn't a big land but it holds many classic rides.
Tower of Terror combines the amusement park rides where the guests are lifted to a great hight and dropped and a Disney ride complete with preshow, haunted hotel, gift shop, and of course the thrill of the final drop which is better than those other parks anyway. Domination, TOT rules!
Liberty square is mostly themed colonial America. Hall of Presidents is a classic and the steam boat launches from Liberty Square. The Haunted Mansion resides on the edge of the land. What does the Haunted Mansion have to do with Liberty!? Was there no other place to put it? Overall LS is a good place but could use a couple more attractions.
My trip to WDW is not complete without it!!! It is Spectacular!
This ride is a good way to cool off, and maybe be Completely soaked to the bone. Unless you don't mind walking around the rest of the day watherlogged like Davey Jones let this be the last ride you take for the day.
Welcome foolish Mortals I'm you Ghost host. I love HM its one of the best products of WDI ever.
The idea is brilliant, being able to walk from Canada to France in 5 under minutes with no teleporter is impressive. Each of the countries is very unique, it is said that the experience feels authentic. The shows and rides are good(the best ride being Maelstrom in Norway), but some of the movies could be updated (China, France, Canada). They are set around the lagoon facing futureworld, the two parts are so different, but so close.
I love this ride and I can not wait to ride the new version Nov.11 when I go back to Disney. I am sooo excited to see the new changes. I love this ride!
This ride speaks for itself. One of the best in Disney. Great story line. I just can't get enough of it.
This ride is just a classic. Fun for the whole family. It just brings back memories from when I was just a kid going on for the first time. I love it.
What a fun attraction. This ride is the best flume ride in the world.
A nice relaxing smooth ride. I absolutly love this ride. You can't miss it.
A better ride than Disney had ever made before and probably will ever make again. Pure magic.
This is one of the best dark rides Disney has ever put out, though it would be nice if they fixed it up a bit!
My family and I were on it in April of 2006 and just loved it.
This tour is pretty amazing considering you really dont even know it's there. the tour was excpetionally hot during August and as one review stated tours are the best with the right guide it makes a huge difference. WE learned so much that we never knew and my father is a horticulturest. Disney really is flawless is so many ways. However I dont recommend this tour at the afternoon hours.
I was really excited for this ride. It was soo lame. And i love those cheesey kiddie rides. It was soooo disappointing. And the Queue to get to the ride was LONGER than the ride it self... One good thing about it... last year a cousin of mine told me the Narnia attraction at MGM was amazing and i just had to see it.. soooo next year i will tell that same cousin that Nemo was the BEST ride ever and that he HAS to go on it... =]
It's a little dissapointing riding in the front, when finish the lift hills, the train isn't "free" until you're almost at the bottom of the drops. Props and decorations are great. IMO the seats and restraints are more comfortable than Space Mountain's for people over 6' tall. Lines can get very long and it gets very hot while waiting in the upper portion of the maze.
This show was hysterical. Many of the others who talked about this sounded like Grumpy; if you're Happy, you should like this show. I wish more of it was "live", but who knows, in a couple years that may happen. I hope so, anyway. But back to the current Comedy Club. I also give it big kudos for being ORIGINAL. I don't think there's anything else like this on the planet. Admittedly, I'm bumping up the rating from a 9 because of this.
I think I was expecting too much of this attraction. After riding it once, I thought it was pretty much a zero. After a couple more times, I now would rate it as okay. Youngsters will likely enjoy it, and that’s probably the target audience anyway. I do like the EAC part and the final section where Nemo and friends are swimming with real fish. After the ride portion, the tanks, presentations and especially Turtle Talk With Crush are quite a bit better. These raise my rating to a solid 8.
This is a condensed review, so... Dude...focus, dude. The show is colorful with excellent effects, solid performers and good, not great, music (the exception is Go With The Flow, which is righteous). Festival of the Lion is still King, but you need to see Finding Nemo nevertheless.
I can't wait to see the new Spaceship Earth Ride.
Its always our first stop in Epcot.
IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, is definitely the best nighttime show WDW has to offer. Although I have not seen Wishes! yet, RoE still puts up a fight. There is a three-story Earth Globe that projects Reflections of Earth on its video screens. (The largest spherical display system in the entire world!) The opening is spectacular, but nothing beats the final part, where the music becomes up tempo, there's a fiery inferno, and fireworks are being launched left and right. A must-see on your Visit to WDW. A good spot is right by the tree with the gate in front of the japan pavillion, and that it has a view of everything. We were lucky enough to grab it minutes before the show. However, other locations are great across World Showcase Lagoon, but you need to stake them out hours in advanced, or get a dinner reservation at Rose and Crown, Catalina de San Angel, or any other WS restarurant that overlooks the lagoon.
I love this ride for a few different reasons. Number one, it has great animatronics in it. Number two, i love the music in it. Number three, its a good place to just sit and relax. Everyone that has been to Disney knows that there isnt much relaxation with kids. And number four, its air conditioned. Its very hot at disney so this ride gives you a place to cool down!
I had never seen Wishes before our last trip. I guess I never thought it would be as good as it is. I tried to watch it early in our trip but was forced to wait. No one but me really wanted to stay. I made them watch it later that week. Now, when we talk about Disney, Wishes always comes up. We loved it. The music it so perfect and magical. It's more than fireworks, it is a magical moment that you can only have at Disney.
This is the best Disney ride EVER!!! It has great scenary and is a thrill. It is also cool how they designed it, with the flipping track, going backwards and the Yeti at the end that looks real. This is a great ride and is the best ride i've ever been on!! It's fun and its for everyone GREAT RIDE!!!!
POTC is a fun and a little scary boat ride that takes you on a tour of a mysterious, dark, scary, cave, and a Caribbean town! In "Pirates" you'll go down a small hill and go through an old town that is being raided by a group of pirates! You'll even see some of your favorite pirates, Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones! The "Disney" classic sails by my test for a 10/10 rating!
Needs to be longer but all in all is a good water shoot.
Truely a magnificent ride, combines all my favorite ride elements darkness, wetness, and trills. If there was a 20/10 option i would give it that. This is definatly a water ride to take youre time riding.
Truely a pretty good show, but the effects are pretty lackluster and dissapointing. I for one enjoy fireworks shows more than shows, and this is my second favorite show... next to Indiana Jones... So this is pretty much a must see if you rumble over to MGM...
I have been on many, many roller coasters in my life, and Expedition Everest is the freakiest one I have been on. All I kept saying when I got off was, "How did they do that?" It is sooo cool! I had to immediately go on again, because the first time I was in such confusion as to what would happen to me. The second time I could enjoy it even more! The scary thing is that most other roller coasters you can tell what will happen because you can see the whole ride before you get on. Not so with Expedition Everest! You have no idea what will happen until you go on. That is so fun! I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a thrill.
I remember my first time i was on i was 6 and i loved it! but the next time we went there they would not let me on. I CRYED LIKE A BABY FOR AN HOUR!! my fave seat is the front row. its cool to see the catapult go under the car!
Well body wars was pretty cool, since it was Epcot's first thrill ride! Im 14 and i love thrill rides so i give it a 10/10!. but when i was on it in november 2006 the simulator was making weird noises, like something was loose and was about to fall off! just the one probe did it not the other four! but over all it was a great ride!
Ok,I'm going to say something. I can't swim. I plan on learning tho next year when I go so I can do more stuff at the water parks. I really like the Wave Pool. I love the Raft Rides. I really L-O-V-E LOVE Castaway Creek the best Lazy River I have ever been to. It is just so big and relaxing I spend most of the day there, and when I go to a water park its always compared to here,Typhoon Lagoon. 10/10 for the lazy river alone.
It doesnt even deserve a 1....the old ride needed updating..yes...but this?...the old one at least respected Mexico and showed you a little bit of the country..this is just a joke....it offends me and im not even an ounce Mexican...
Backlot Tour is one of the greatest attractions, though over the years it has been downsized, the theme is still there: Revealing Movie Magic. It's an experience worth the time.
I was surprised at how poorly designed this play spot seemed. It had very little shade from the hot Florida sun. There were also few interesting things. My 4 year old was bored after about 5 minutes.
The show was excllent, but after doing it 2 more tmes I noticed that the jokes were getting repetitve.
The ride was good when we first saw it, but now it's just stupid. Definitly better than the 2nd version of the ride, but we need the dreamfinder and the old ride back!
That's all I can say about it. It can't replace El Rio Del Tiempo, but the only thing that I liked was the opening scene and the finale!
This spot was horrible. Obviously good for toddlers, but they need to tear this down and either: 1. Build the lagoon again and put Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage there! OR 2. Build Mermaid Lagoon there!
I was never crazy about the ride itself, but it thought the lagoon with the subs going around looked nice.
Soarin' is the best ride. and I hope the Soarin' ride will change.
Fantasmic is the Best. a Perfect 10.
Me and my brothers always enjoy it
I cannot belive this still exists and hasnt changed since I was a kid. It was dull and boring and the 3D is aweful... nothing like putting on the glasses and yourself and everyone around you asking the same thing... "Is there a blotchy patch in the right side of your glasses?" The ratings for this need a negative scoring feature
I am in no way a rollercoaster fan... last week during my trip, this was actually my first coaster and was a little nervous but when all was said and done I was actually disappointed a little. I think it needs a big drop to top it off... Splash Mountain was scarier.
Oh this ride is so AWESOME! I first rode it 3 years ago (when i was 10) and it was a BLAST! I ride it at LEAST 3 times everytime i go to disney (which is about 2 or 3 times a year). My mom is cemcgee, a premium member on this website. I LOVE THIS RIDE!!!!
I absolutely LOVED Nemo the Musical! Since I do technical special effects and lighting for theatre locally I am a very hard critic but this show blew me away. The first time I saw it I sat in the front row next to the thrust stage and noticed some unique lighting tracks that were used in the show that I've never seen anywhere else before. The fixtures were at the back of the stage above the actors and actually moves back and forth on a track to keep everything lit when moving. This is very technical for any theatre to do and I was so overwhelmed with the effects that I forgot to watch the actors! So, I went back again and sat in the rear of the theatre and focused on the show and it was like a whole different production. Wow!
i think everyone has been too harsh on this ride. some claim that it is cheap.. well that is the theme of the area surrounding it - a cheapish carnival setting. the other thing that is hearsh is this ride. i love it- i do it twice everytime i go , but it hurts! so be careful!
one of disneys best who can resist capt jack! go late at night lines are shorter
Everyne in my family loves this ride. But you must get a fast past the lines are way too long.
I love this ride. The ending is so awesome.
My family and I took the keys to the 9:30 your this past week with Daniel as our tour guide. We meet around 915 and recived headsets, name tags, and a backstage id. There were a total of 21 of us on the tour from various parts of the world. We started off the tour walking down main street and stoping every now and then to talk about different aspects of the park. from there we ventured into adventureland and rode the jungle cruise. From there we headed into frontierland and went backstage. We saw the parade floats and the backside of splash mountain. Then it was time for lunch. We ate lunch at the columbia harbor house as a group in a small section upstairs reserved just for the tour. Everythign was all set up when we arrived. Our tour guide even ate lunch with us and talked more about the park. From there we went on small world where 22 adults fit in one small world boat. (wow..i thought the boat was gonna sink! but it didnt). From there we walked back towards main street adn heading backstage and into the highly anticipated tour fo the utilidors. That was really fun. Our your guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the park and life of walt disney. I highly recomend the tour for anyone who wants to know more about the park. i hope i am not giving anythign way. it was a fantastic tour!!!
The show was very well done. The music was great and had the original cast playing! If they want to change it I say DO NOT CHANGE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's a ride that takes you through the whole Magic Kingdom but it only has 4 stops
The first best ride in Animal Kingdom
Its a ride for the whole family it speed is about 30 MPH and I just love the turns that are short.
I thought that the refurbishment was great! The ride seemed to be much better paced. And... FINALLY a happy ending story for Donald!
I was hyped...I love the movie...and I love the ocean should be a no brainer. But the ride could have been better it just seemed to lack sometimes. I don' know what it was missing probly more animatronics or a better story line, but I def. thinkit could have been a little better. I still enjoyed it...but thought it could be better. Maybe I was too hyped over it and that it what caused a slight dissappointment. Overall I'll rate it a 6 or maybe 7.
At first Liberty Square seems like a land that is so boring it isn't worth visiting, but once you know it you'll never want to leave! The homy feel of the old shops from the time of George Washington, and we can't forget about The Hall of Presidents! But the best thing in Liberty Square is the fact that it is home to the best ride in all of The Magic Kingdom, The Haunted Mansion!
From the second you stand in the etrance right in front of the railroad station a strange and magical feeling over sweeps you. The Magic Kingdom is home to the best rides in the world! From silly spooks in The Haunted Mansion to the swashbucling priates in The Pirates of the Caribbean, you truly know that The Magic Kingdom is the happiest place on earth.
Whoa! What a great ride! Big Thunder could be one of the best coasters in all of Florida! Because of Big Thunder milder thrills it's sure to amuse guests of all ages. Big Thunder is a MUST DO!
So basically if you don't want to wait in a long line to go round and round, Aladdin is your ride. It's generally a shorter wait than dumbo and offers a spitting camel and the ability to tilt the carpet
Overall I thought the parade was fun and entertaining. My only complaint is that the characters from the movie Cars where not present. It would have been nice to have seen Lightning and Mater driving down the street at the end.
I have been to AK quite a few times and never once even seen Lucky. Does she avoid me?
The Carousel of Progress was an original attraction created by Walt Disney and has won many awards throuout its life. It was closed seasonally but seems to be back. Carousel is one of the best shows but might need an update in the "21st Century" part. Really a classic though. If its open, it definatly is worth seeing, maybe when lines are longer for other attractions. The rotating theater is a nice touch, thus the name carousel. 8.5 out of ten
Futureworld is headlined by Spaceshipearth which looks futuristic itself and is about the future and its technologies. It is probably the most changing place of any park but spaceshipearth and Living with the land stay very much the same. Test Track and Mission Space take care of the thrills. Futureworld also has the majority of the rides in EPCOT. It's a very familiar place and doesn't change much on the ouside over the years. EPCOT wouldn't be what it is wihtout Futureworld or wihtout World Showcase.
It really seems to be a type of old west. Complete with saloons, moutains and architecture. It is also home to 2 of the mountains. Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, which happen to be two of the best rides in the Magic Kingdom. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tommorrowland is timeless. It is also futuristic and magical. The rides are great and so is the atmosphere. Space Mountain is the best. It really lights up at night and looks like a completely different place. The TTA is a must ride through the galaxy also. Go to Carousel of Progress if it's open for one of Disney's best shows. Tommorrowland is perhaps the best place of MK.
When I went on this in January I had no idea what it was. In fact I had in confused with the buzz lightyear ride. I didn't know the dislike behind this ride, so I was able to form my own opinion. I didn't like it either though...sorry. The ride broke down 3 times, then when it finally started I didn't like it. Disney did really try. The effects were pretty good. That is if you like to be belched at. And have a metal bar slammed down on your shoulders as stitch "bounces" on you. Stitch did have a lot of spit to give off too. In the end, if you want to go on this ride to form your own opinion, and the lines not long or you can fastpass it, then do it. Otherwise go check out another space ride.
I'm also in agreement with those who think that this was a great update to WDW's aging Tiki Room. I know many people think that this mocks Walt, but I personally don't see it that way. People should be allowed to make fun of themselves and not take themselves too seriously all the time. And after seeing the Extinct Attractions Club DVD about the history of WDW's Tiki Room, it makes me even angrier that most of the unappreciative purists still hate the new Tiki show, since the Imagineers that worked on it (who obviously have a MAJOR amount of love and respect for the original Tiki show) tried so hard to keep the look and feel of the original alive while bringing in new things in an attempt to save the WDW Tiki Room from the chopping block. What most purists don't realize is that the majority of the guests were either falling asleep or getting up and walking out of the theater in the middle of the show when the original was still running at WDW, which was the main reason why they supposedly wanted to get rid of it at first. After all, losing such a classic tradition-enriched attraction altogether for just another shop or restaurant would've been MUCH worse and most likely would've angered the purists even more. The new Tiki show and the old one are both great and it's great that there's different versions of it to see at WDW and DL.
I've been wanting to ride a water coaster since I saw a special about Schlitterbahn. Crush 'n' Gusher was great! We went to Typhoon at opening and rode it over & over. Best ride there!
Theming is excellent(you actually think that you're in Asia) and Kali river Rapids was the main attraction. Now with Expedition Everest it is possibly my favorite land of Animal Kingdom.
Board a runaway minetrain in some haunted hills for a great adventure through the mountains and caves. It is a blast no matter who you are and has a moderate thrill factor. The "wildest ride in the wilderness" is a MUST ride!
There does not see to be a reason for taking down this ride. Not enough money?(haha) Not enough riders? nah. It was a nice adventure through the park by bird's eye view. They still even have the stations! bring it back. please?
This takes the idea of Jungle Cruise and adds real animals. The ride is a type of safari and the simulated environments seem real. There are many species in the ride and Sometimes you see a lot, sometimes not so much. The terrain that the vehicle travels over is uneven and gives the feeling of danger. The animals are cleverly enclosed and you can't really see the boundries. Poachers beware, KS rocks.
I was pretty excited going in and seeing one of disney's "GREAT NEW RIDES!!!". I thought the line leading up to the attraction was great and even the ride vehicle, but the meat of the ride, the actual ride itself, was simply OK. I am a little tired of the over-Pixaring that Disney is doing and the projection screens were ok, but not great.
This is my all-time favourite! A must see for anyone!
It was definitely much better than the Laugh Floor though!!! Not even close.
Hi All, I just want to let you all know that I never pass up the Norway Pavilion. I think its a beautiful place to visit, the church on the side is quite interesting and the shops are really nice too. I ate a danish there once and it was delicious. Last year I finally bought the fregrance there that they sell "Laila" I've been passing it up every year, and when I get home was upset I didn't buy it. This year I went prepared and finally bought it and I love it and get compliments every time I wear it. Its a definate buy. If you stop by the shops at least go by there and smell it. You won't be sorry. Tinkerchelli :)
This ride seems very old but not really out of date. The journey from the port and back is the same but it never gets dull. Star Tours is very popular and could be called a classic. It opened soon after MGM did. The pilot has flown an awful lot of "first flights."
I just got out of mickey's philarmagic on my first day in july 2005. My aunt asked when the fireworks were starting. A nice man said 2 minutes. Then I heard little girls singing " Star light, star bright first star I see tonight" Then jiminy cricket came on the speakers. The best part was the finale> I left crying tears of joy. This is a must see!
This is probably my favorite ride in Disney. It is so cool how they put this one together. I use to love Dino's when I was a kid and I just feel like a kid again. I always laugh alot on this ride for some reason. I just love it. I miss how they had the last dino at the end come out at you though. I think they changed it alittle because it was to scary for kids or something.
This ride was okay! I think the children would just love it. I was fun, but different in it's own little way. The waiting in the line part was cute. It felt like you were under water.
I thought the ride was awsome! It was just alittle short. I love the part where it goes backwards. It sort of feels like gravity is pulling you upside down. The wait in line was interesting too. There are alot of neat things to look at. My first experiance on this ride was 11-13-07....We walked right on about 10 times in a row because we went when it was less crowded...What a fun time!
Amazing ride, real simulation, g-forces, everything. At first, it was hyped to be the most terrifying ride ever. It isn't, but it is intense. They've even made a calmer version of it, but the original is the only way to go. You must experience it. They could add some length to it though.
My wife just loved this as she hates the regular teacups lol. Fun family ride!!
I tell you MGM is so underated at a Disney Park, we may have had one of the best days there all week even with a little rain. But this ride had a long line for us even with fastpass in the morning. But the ride itself was fabulous a definate must do from now on for us!! A 10 in my book!
I found this a great ride to introduce my kids to classic movies they have never seen yet. I loved Dorothy for sure.
You better make sure you put your head back at the red light at the start or you'll get whiplash as you go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and immediately go into a loop. I loved doing a corkscrew through the O in the Hollywood hills sign. Too quick though. But definately a 10!!
This was my wife's favorite!! Try and get the far left line though, we had the middle and the feet hanging down in ffront of me kinda took away from the ride to me. Overall one of the best though, you could feel the wind and smell the trees and ocean.
We went orange ticket, the only way to really experience this ride and it was fantastic!!! I admit too short though, but still a 9/10 for me!!
It was a roll of the dice as to who was gonna get soaked IMO. So it ended up being the lady right next to me lol, she looked like she just got out of the Kali River fully clothed lmao!! I was like two tone man, half wet and half dry. Great ride!!
It was pretty good, of course I'm jaded as a first timer but this was one of the best rides we wnet on!!
I guess I get this one and the living seas confused lol. But after all that saki in Japan it was a blur so I'll gove them both a 9 lol!!! Either way Crush was the Turtle for my kids.
We had a great time there and the theming was excellent. I loved Malestrom as did my kids, we didn't eat there so still incomplete until next time.
It was very well themed and the tacos were excellent lol.
Yea I agree after Sea World it is a little underwhelming lol. But we definately enjoyed it and all the Nemo stuff!! My kids had the best time with Crush for sure, this was one of their favorites and they are still talking about the interaction with Crush weeks later. A must do now in the future, and I am gonna do one of the underwater tours in the future as well.
To be honest we kinda just strolled through, and don't really care for that type of food. Just didn't float our boat, but the people were extremely nice.
We had a fabulous time there!! Met Alice in Wonderland and Mary Poppins and took pictures and Alice wouldn't let me and the mrs go without taking pics with her alone either, she was great! had a couple of pints in the pub and the barkeeps there were fantastic, played all sorts of little trick games with my kids. Despite not having a big attraction this was probably our favorite pavillion, can't wait to go back!!
Great theming and the food was also great. Had sushi for the first time ever and boy that wasabi sure is hot lol!! Kirin beer was also surprisingly good. But I had a little too much saki lol.
Great themed buildings in the area, and saw a play called Romeo and Edna ahahaha!!
Not much there but shops and food. Everything in the shops was Christmas stuff though for the most part, so not very interesting in the spring. The food was ok nothing to write home about, but the beer was good. Really only thing to look at was the model train.
The food was excellent, and I had creme brulee for the first time ever lol. The wine wasn't that bad either. Loved the Eiffel tower in the background.
I might be jaded a llittle now after seeing the fake Disney park condoned by the China govt. lol. But it was prett decent, good theming and we watched an acrobat/gymnast troup perform. The food was so so.
Loved the theme of the pavillion and the waterfalls, had that national park feel. All I can say is LeCellier is the best steak I'v had at Disney and the service was excellent!! Loved it completely and watched the fireworks from there as well.
Great ride, it's a little short, though. It should be added on to after the waterfall or have a couple of more falls to add to the thrill factor. The trolls are great, "be gone before we cast a spell"
For all of us who came to the MK as a child, this was something we looked forward to spending quarters on in Frontierland. This may not be all that fun for everyone but I still get a kick out of shooting that old bird.
Disney Quest is an interactive playground suitable for all ages with lots of fun packed adventures to choose from. The classic arcade gamers paradise loaded with virtual reality, simulators, and one of a kind interactive games and shows. 5 floors of different kinds of fun. From Cyber Space Mountain, to Mighty Ducks Pinball. Its a great place to have fun.
This is a classic for me as a kid. Catastrophe Canyon was something I looked forward to when visiting MGM. If you are one of the select few who gets picked out of the crowd to participate in the special effects preshow, you will have a blast. But be sure to have a member of your party stay behind and video your stunning performace. You will not want to lose that moment. This is an older MGM ride that could use a bit of a spruce here or there but for the most part it is an interesting ride in the fact that you are actually looking at live action studios and props that were used in many famous movies. I wouldnt rate this ride as anything other than a simple informative tour. Some would rathar rate it based on its thrill or excitement level which is irrelevant in this case. Catastrophe Canyon is just a bonus. Some will apreciate and some wont.
Wow! What an amazing ride this was. Its too bad that it is gone. I miss it dearly. This was one of the scariest rides I have ever been on. It was definately a first and only if its kind. Never to be out done. Pioneering the animatronics industry as always. One of a very select few an every weekend WDW visitor can call a 10/10. I can say that I also miss Flight to the Moon (12/24/71), and Mission to Mars (6/7/75), which were the existing rides at the location of Alien Encounter. But of all, it was the best by far! Alien Encounter initially opened December 16, 1994, however Michael Eisner did not like what he saw during the previews and ordered the attraction closed in January 1995. It officially opened on June 20, 1995. I believe it was even scarier and they had to tone it down a bit. Sad to see this ride no longer exists! Its a shame that XS-Tech could not "Seize The Future".
I rode 13 times in a row the first time. I ride at least 3 times every trip which is every other weekend. So I will make this short and simple. This ride is beautiful. Excellent ride technology, exciting twists, stunning detail. Annother 100 million dollar one of a kind genius. Perfect for all ages.
Being one that loves fireworks and would set a couple of hours just to get a good view... This one is a little tired. Note enough assortment in the shells they use and not enough of the wow factor. And I'm sorry but there are times when I actually wished it would either go faster or end sooner. A little on the boring side.
I love this ride so much! I was always so scared to go on it when it was younger but now i never miss it on every trip to MGM Studios. I loved Aerosmith before i started going on this ride, but now i love them even more. The ride is so well themed and i love the little pre-show they have on it with Steve Tyler and the rest of the band. It's always fun to stand in the queue and look out for people who look like they've never ridden before. The look on their faces is classic, reminds me of my first time on the ride. Me and my sister sing the songs all the way round the ride and have learnt when to pose for the picture. I love the shop at the end too! All in all, this is one of the best rides in the whole of Disney World! It's a must ride!!
This is an excellent update that brought in brand-new stuff and maintained sets and elements from El Rio Del Tiempo. The 3 Caballeros and Epcot's Mexico pavilion are a perfect fit. It's a very fun new attraction that does a pretty good job of showing off the Mexican country and some of its famous landmarks and areas while following a storyline more cohesive than El Rio's, so Epcot's goal of entertaining, informing and inspiring is not lost here. Great respect was paid to the classic 1945 film with references to it and the idea of mixing of animation with live-action. I very highly recommend this attraction for anyone who comes to Epcot. VIVA THREE CABALLEROS!
my dad was playing on it and me and my mum where wacthing when a castmember gave me a free go, which was fun, go place to relax, and have a break.
i have been on this once and have never been on it since it is a tree to climb up form the movie swiss family robinson, that is it!! BOARDING
Seas was a really great ride. Although the Anglerfish was not working in full form it was great!
Wow! I was amazed when I went on this ride and frightened half to death! But it was a good ride- not just trying to throw things at you but actually having some kind of mission. It was interesting to see the different Dinosaurs, expecially the ones mentioned in the sort of pre-show (not the movie with mrs. hucstable). Overall, this is exactly what Disney is famous for. Great experience!
I personally have never been to alien encounter; the show that Stitch's Great Escape replaced. I was always too scared because everyone raved about how real and terrifing it was. I see this as a good thing- Disney is supposed to be the best and I a agree with this 100%. But even though alien encounter wasn't the ride for me (I was only about 11 when they closed down the ride), it was still a ride that everyone I knew enjoyed. I would have probably enjoyed it. It always said in the "caution" notices in the ride that it was frightning and small kids are advised against viewing the show. It even explained that it would get dark, scary, and personal (with the breathing down you neck ect.). So WHY? why change it? Stitch's Great Escape was awful compared to what Disney has to offer and how amazing it does with it's rides. I didn't like any part of it- accept that the littler kids were excited to see Stitch. But, its not even the Stitch they know and love! It is, instead, the bad, gross, overraded Stitch. How is this at all entertaining? The audience that enjoys this show is the 2-5 year olds if at all. That's not a very big veriety of people. It just could have been a better story. -Lexi
i loved the old version on figment and was told it was not going to that much diffrent than that one when i was being redone, but was disapoited at the new on and the less amount of toys to play with after it, BRING BACK fingment!!!!
in you head that is, turst me try going on it in the morring first thing and you'll never stop singing it. it a must do thought. and a easy one you sit and a boat and listen to doll sing, the doll are based on pepole from all over the world, and the song is sung in diffrent lagnuges!
ok not a thrill ride but a must do, just to see the donkey.
went on it for the first time last trip, and it was great we went to epcot early to avode the ques for the ride! but ther was no just walk straight on it. it is so realistick, it untrue. i duked away from the golf ball, when i goes flying at you. you can smell the trees ect hear the wind great ride a must do.
woow, love ruuning around here, thought there not much to do, excted walk/ (run if your me ) around the caves, and frot. did you know if you find a paint brush so where on the island and hand it in to a cast member , you get aprize ( cnat rember where i haeard that but it true. i also love all the briges to walk accross over the water over all it great run, thougt the caves are dark so keep hold of the kids
i love the cool station it a great idea, thought i must say some of the drink ant that nice, and i love that you can make you own bottle lable, it a great idea, and fun to watch them make it, i brought one for my dad last tiem there and it still in the house, there pretty!!
Stitch's Great Escape! has been stated to be the worst attraction in all of WDW. In my opinion this is not true (not even close), and if you're with a family the attraction can be very fun. The AA's throughout the show are amazing (especially Stitch & the plasma cannons) and the story was well-paced. I just felt like there could've been more done in terms of sensory effects within the actual theater. Stitch spends way too much time whispering, which half the time you can't even here. The only clever effects were the chili dog smell and the messing with your hair bit. Maybe Stitch could've breathed on you, like in AE? Stitch isn't as good as its predecessor, but it's still a fun little attraction (especially with no wait!).
Am I the only one here that actually enjoyed this attraction? Overall I thought the show was very amusing and clever and a fine update to an aging production. In my opinion it really helps to see the original show to get some of the inside jokes (which I happily did at DLR), and then the show is very entertaining. Sure, Iago is very loud and obnoxious, but the twists and songs were very funny and the new AA's (Iago, Zazu, Tiki Goddess) were very realistic and fluid. It just felt really energetic and fun. (Oh, and the preshow was very funny, too.) It's not my absolute favorite attraction in all of WDW, but my family enjoyed it.
I finally saw Mickey's Philharmagic for the first time several weeks ago. One word... amazing. I have never seen so many beloved characters and moments all integrated into one seamless package before... Mickey's Philharmagic is a masterpiece, and the best 3D show on property. My only complaint is that the ending of the show is a little abrupt, as there is no real conclusion from Mickey himself (but the Donald AA is hilarious). A very pleasent surprise, especially after all the poor attractions Disney has added over the past few years.
I loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride as much as the next guy, but in reality Winnie the Pooh is a very nice attraction. The bouncing and floating movements during their respective scenes was ingenious and very fun, plus there are some very clever effects (such as the Heffalumps and Woozles scene). The ride has a lot of charm and is great for the whole family.
This is one of my favorite dark rides in all of WDW... The Great Movie Ride has a great plot and great innovation (such as the switching of your guide to a gangster or wild west robber... genius!). The fact that there are multiple scenes you can experience, plus all of the cool AA integration make this is a grand and fantastic ride. My only complaint is that the ride is showing its age and should perhaps update some of its movies (the film at the end has been updated with a few newer hits, so that's a good start).
Kali River Rapids had a lot of potential... and well... Disney kind of did it on the cheap, and it shows big time. The queuing area is amazing and really sets you up for the ride. The beginning is awesome with the ascent up the misty hill, and the loggers scene is great, too (it's also really improved now that you have a fantastic view of Everest) and then you have that drop, you make a few turns, and it's over. Wait, it's over? Did I miss something? Apparently not. The first two scenes and drop had so much potential, but then it just kind of ended there. The foliage didn't impress me much. It just seemed like they could've done so much more... like say, a voyage into an Asian temple or something. And the ride is just so short... I wouldn't wait more than 15 minutes for this thing. It's worth riding, though, it's just not as good as it could been. If you want a really good rafting ride, go try Popeye over at Islands of Adventure.
I personally thought that this ride was very enjoyable; sure, it now stars three cartoon birds, but it still tours you through Mexico and gives you an idea of the country. The details were great, and the animation was excellent. Good job, Disney!
In a park that currently has only 5 rides, you think they'd keep them in good shape. After recently experiencing the Backlot Tour for the first time in several years, I have found that it's in terrible shape. The beginning special effects portion is fun, but they should update it as it gets tiring after you see it the first couple times. Prop room remains kinda neat, but they should be playing more current movie previews. Santa Claus 3 was out last Christmas, Disney. The tour itself - very stale. Little to look at aside from a few neat movie props like the skeleton cages from Pirates II. The costuming and props departments are kind of neat, as is Catastrophe Canyon (best part of the short tour), but otherwise it's kind of dull. They seem to center it on the Lights Motors Action show next door, which took up pretty much the other interesting part of the tour. In its current state, the Backlot Tour is very dull and uneventful... it needs a great deal of plussing plus new stuff to look at. Otherwise, it's just a pointless trolley ride.
I just got back from seeing the musical for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The songs are so lovely that you wonder why they weren't in the movie to begin with. You will have a difficult time getting "Big Blue World" and "Go with the Flow" out of your head by the time the show is over. The puppeteers are beyond excellent in portraying these characters and the beautiful design of the puppets only enhances the experience. This is probably my favorite stage show and I was thrilled to know that it is produced by the same people who brought Twice Charmed and Aladdin (two of my other favorite stage shows) but Nemo tops them both. This is a must see for everyone!
I love the music as your waiting in line. The pictures and the music gotogether well. And I thought the seats were really cofortable. If this ride is closed. Go on the tta(tommorowland transit authority) you can see the lights on.
Heres a tip. If you go in October through mid-December you can walk right on this attraction.
Man I can't spell can I?
True, it isn't nearly what the original was, but this is defenatly way better than the one it replaced. Figment is good, but what happened to that dreamfinder guy? Overall this verision of Imagination is good though, we ride it a few times every visit.
What a waste! Granted, the old ride needed some updating, but the new one is just a waste of time. Isn't this in the Mexico pavilion? The old ride at least gave you a taste of that country. Now, it's just a cartoon. I could ride "El Rio de Tiempo" multiple times and still enjoy it. Now, I have one less attraction to see the next time I visit WDW.
Rating the attraction, it was 1 on a scale of 10. How could there be such a thing as "Person of the Century"? However, the fact that the attraction was ridiculous didn't stop me from having an opinion! Franklin Roosevelt got my vote for leadership in WWII; also only US President elected 3 times. Was very instrumental in ending the great depression as well. At the time, the US was becoming the world's most powerful (and respected) nation. Roosevelt had a huge part in that. I won't go into current politics here.
almost everyone i know did not like this show but in it's defense-people just went into this show expecting something else...listen...it's a different style-a different experience-a different attraction all together...it's 3-D for the ears! in order to enjoy this show you have to relax and pay attention...it's not a ride or 3-D movie remember-if you follow through the story it's pretty funny...it's a new kind of show to experience and i thought a refreshing change of pace of theme park fun!
ok its not a terrible ride and im not going to totally trash it but i've been on other theme park river rapid rides and...disney needs to spice it up...i mean add maybe another drop or something-i've been on it a few times and got maybe a lil wet-disney imagineers should try out universal's river rapid ride to see what good soaking fun is...kali rapids board me but the theme and story it trys to get out was ok....its good for a hot day i guess
i got on this ride two times and experienced two different rides like disney suggested...the ride is thrilling and cool to view while you're dashing through but....the seating was so uncomfortable it actually hurt me and made me feel like i was going to fly outta my seat trying to hold on...I'm a small thin person so i can imagine a large and (oh my)heavy person squeezing into those way to small seats-oouch! disney should do something about this but i don't hear lots of complaining...if it hurt you say so-maybe disney will take note...
dinosaur rules the disney rides by far...it has a lil bit of everything...dark-bumpy-scary-if you like thrill rides this is the one to do at disney world! i mean you're talking about disney so you know they will not go too far(sad to say)but this ride will blow everyone away...fun fun fun!!!!
everest was fun but...a lil disappointing...it doesn't live up to the hype...going backwards was fun and different but the yeti which looks awesome only shows up twice(one being only his shadow)it should appear a lil bit more...also the ride ends too quickly...universal's the mummy ride is what a coaster with monsters should be...disney take note!
Every time I go to Disney, I have to ride this at least 5x. Splah Mountain is perfect, top standard, Disney quality. It has a perfect lenghth, perfect amount of thrills and the perfect fun for the family. Much detail put into the Audio-Animatronics that keep you amused before the huge, five story drop at the end. Included is that remarkable tale and morale of Brer Rabbit learning his true home is the Briar Patch. Clever names and catchy songs go into this ride last of all to make this the perfect ride experience.
This is a nice kid's ride, but PLEASE only go on when the line is under at least 5-10 minutes. Trust me, riding this isn't worth wasting 30 minutes of your life.
Dinosaur is perhaps the most pulse-pounding, exciting and scary attraction Disney has ever made. Every single time I ride it, even if its the fifth time in a row, my on-ride photo embarrases me when other people see it. This is an impressively clever ride, as the thrills just keep coming when you think they're finally over. I've heard many people say that this ride isn't the same as Indiana Jones, and they're right, IT'S BETTER! Indiana Jones was an extremely impressive attraction as well, but Dinosaur makes itself a point better because of its intense excitement.
With a few more songs and plot twists, I think this show would play sucessfully on Broadway. The songs, I found, were surprisingly very good not to mention the amazing puppeteering. This show actually makes some sense, unlike the truely dissapointing Trazan Rocks, the incredibly stupid, fake and atmosphere -desturbing predicessor to the Theater of the Wild. Improvement to this show could include more changes within the plot and more scenes with the hilarious seagulls. Other than that, a very impressive production by disney.
I thought the ride was beautiful. My mom and I always thought that the ride needed some updates because all of the videos had such an old look to them, and they didn't really pull you in. The new videos are beautiful, and Donald really makes you laugh. Though the new story isn't very solid, it still shows some of the beautiful sights of Mexico.
If you're a thrill-seaker, this is the slide for you at Blizzard Beach. The line is usually very long, so be prepared. You can take the chair lift up if you don't want to make the climb. There's a nice area with "bleachers" for the members of your party to sit and wait if not riding. It can be a lengthy wait, so I'd grab a snack.
This ride is great fun for the whole family! The climb isn't bad, but if you don't think everyone in your party can make it, you can take the chair lift. The ride is nice and long, and unlike other similar rides that I've been on, it's not too wild. Great for all ages!
The line for the lift tends to be pretty long - if you really don't want to climb, then wait it out. If you're able to climb pretty easily, it's not too bad. The lift itself is nice and smooth.
I have to agree with another poster that the building is cheap, but the movie is wonderful and more than makes up for that. The last few times I've gone, the line has not been too long, and you get to be inside with air conditioning, which is great on a hot summer day. Perhaps a good juice and snack break for your kids, if you're going to be inside waiting for a bit? And at night, there's hardly much of a line. I think this is probably the best 3-D show on property, and people of all ages will love the classic Disney characters. Don't miss it!
I agree with some part of what is being said here as far as this upgrade was done on the cheap. However, in saying that I think that this is a great example of plusing. IMHO I feel that the ride still captures the feel and atmosphere of Mexico, while adding some fun for the kids. As a child I hated this attraction. Only as an adult did I appreciate it. Now I think that both can be had. I cannot wait to take my kids on this ride. The main Disney charcters have been for the most part absent from most Disney attractions. I think that this is a nice way to intergrate "The Duck" in to an existing attraction.
The origional ride was good. It was the way I picture Mexico. Now they have taken out all the good details and put in cartoons. The part where in the old ride they were trying to see you goods had very much detail and now its just a cheesy cartoon and some cheap looking baloons.
On January 9th, 2006 my boyfriend asked me to marry him during wishes. Of course I dont really remember much of the show from that night but I got to see it 3 days later. It was awesome. I cried whole time!!!
There definitely still will not be a wait for this ride. It is basically the same except for the characters. The audio was better and everything was cleaner but it just was not that different. There is no storyline to follow and it the characters make you forget that this ride is supposed to inform you about Mexico. They were just plain distracting to me. I miss the old ride and I never thought I would say that.
I went to Disney for my first time this march and I went on this ride about 6-7 times. It is great, all you have to do is go on it once and you will get over your fear of it. The random drops that they do now really make it cooler
I saw all of the firework shows that they have and by far this is the best one. Everyone that goes to Disney needs to see this show
I went to Disney this past March, and me and my friends waited on the line for about 70 mins. I did not find this ride fun at all. It just straps you in to a chair and lifts you off the ground, and shows you a movie. Once you are in the air you do not move at all. I really suggest that if you are want to go on this ride, if the line is longer that 30 mins. skip it and come back to it later. Go to test track or mission space those ride are 10000 times better than soarin
mission space well its a good ride but it is dissapointingly short the ride itself would get a 9 but its just to dang short at least Gary Sinece was there
I love that ride its probaly number 3 on my top 5 at mk i love it there no way it can be plussed an original I hope it never changes cause someday i want to take my grandkids on that ride If i get grandkids or even kids
The original jiiwf was ausome but now ........ well the ride scares small children and me
space mountain wow what a great ride and im not a roller coaster type person its a classic if ive ever seen or ridden one the sheer simplisity of the ride makes it more enjoyable the best of the 3 mountains =)
spaceship earth well its one of the originals of epcot and would be missed but its not for a thrill seaker the line: gets a 10 for always being so darn short
the maelstrom is one of my faves at epcot it has a classic value and I enjoy it I recently went to epcot with some freinds and they complained that the ride was to short and it had a small drop they didnt even call the first a drop
Loved it! Spruced the whole thing up. Gave it a bit more pizzaz! Didn't feel like I was on If You Had Wings on water. Much better than I expected. Here's a link to some photos I have of it on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wonderfultime/sets/72157600052819108/
What Disney has now done is near blasphemous. They have taken a ride that was once dedicated to the culture and arts of old Mexico and turned it into a ridiculous, vapid cartoon romp. It's all about Donald Duck and it's embarrassing and cheap. This obviously didn't set back Disney much money at all. The new real video footage looks great, but then they junk it up with cartoon imagery that has nothing to do with Mexico's past or present. The final room is a let down and the new song pales in comparison to its previous song. What was that tune? If anyone knows please tell me. Now I will surely miss it.
It Was Great
not worth it if the line is longer than 30 people. who want to wait for a two minut ride?
Okay, if you could ride through the treehouse this would be the worst ride. Imagine you wait in line and wait in line and the ride turns out to be one big commercial to rent various movies. Nothing special just like having to wait in line to see movie previews. If your idea of a good DVD is based on the previews and not the movie then this is the ride for you
Its a large playground safe for the little toddlers and filled with enough poohish things to keep them happy all day if you let them. The only down side is it can sometimes be very crowded and you will likley have to drag your little away when you want to leave.
Very well done and set on a stage that allows for good viewing by everyone including the littlest kidlets (unlike playhouse Disney). It may be a bit intense at for the smallest kids at one point so be ready to hold their hands.
We had noticed the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor while spending our first day in the Magic Kingdom this past week, but passed it by for more "E-ticket"-type rides. Well, our last day at the parks found us in Tomorrowland with time to kill until our FastPass time for Space Mountain rolled around, and we immediately thought of the Monsters, Inc. attraction. We're fairly experienced Disneyphiles, and we noticed this was not on the park map, which left us wondering: Was this simply something we'd missed, an older show that was about to be phased out, or an inside joke by the Imagineers, or what? I didn't learn until I did some searching after we arrived home today that the official opening date for the Laugh Floor was not until April 2nd. Disney had decided to open the doors early starting March 30th, the very day we saw the show, which meant we were among the first park guests to experience the completed version. And I'll have to say I was thoroughly amazed and delighted. The Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is set up as a comedy-club style show with the digitally-animated stars of the show actually interacting with the audience in real time. I have worked in broadcasting and publishing for most of my adult life, and so I may have a better appreciation than most of the technology and creativity necessary to pull off this type of presentation, and I'm still amazed. Any Disney attraction should be judged on whether the Imagineers are able to achieve what they've intended, and this certainly does that and more. The review below that ranks this attraction with the adjacent Stitch's Great Escape is way off. The only things that happen on the Stitch thing is that he burps in your face and tickles you once in the dark. Comparisons with Turtle Talk with Crush at Epcot are valid, but even if there's no line for The Seas, it still takes at least a good half an hour to get inside and even reach yet another line for Crush. Sure, the ending to the Monsters, Inc. show may have left you wanting more, but isn't that pretty much the main idea of any presentation? The bottom line is, the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor was funny, the audience found it very entertaining, and the technology was cutting edge. My wife and I and our two 'tween daughters all ranked this attraction among our Top 5 for the week in all four parks, we all agree that this is a must see in Tomorrowland!
My sister, partner and I took this tour in November 2005, as we had already taken the Keys to the Kingdom tour and were looking for something different. It was a great tour that takes you through the various changes of Mickey Mouse throughout the years. Our tour guide, Clay, was very informative and told us that he had been involved in designing this tour. It started on Main Street where we rode the train to Mickey's Toon Town. We had a private audience with Mickey in his house before it opened for regular guests and we also got to see Mickey's Phillharmagic. At the end of tour we were met by some very special guests and each of us was presented with a pair of mouse ears. This was a great tour and a bargain for the cost, would highly recommend it!
We took this tour in 2000. At that time, lunch was not included so I am sure that it is even better now. We really enjoyed the behind the scenes portion of the tour. We were taken to the makeup and costume rooms and shown the detail that goes into preparing each character for presentation. The Utilidors were fascinating. We would have liked a better behind the scene ride experience. All we got to see was the Haunted Mansion. I understand that now they do the Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. We plan to do this tour again when our girls turn 16. I have found that all of the tour guides are well informed and very enthusiastic. This greatly adds to the tour experience. We especially enjoyed the behind the scene parade experience. It was fascinating to see the staging area and learn about the "visual" deception practices. All in all this was a great tour and well worth the money if you want to learn more insider information about Disney.
I first experienced alien counter back in 2000, my partners son was 12 at the time and he was a little afraid and simply opted out of doing it again when me, my partner and his daughrter went on it a couple more times. He also gave it a miss when we went back in 2002.We thought it was a fantastic attraction and agree that parents with young children should heed the warnings and not take them in.But why oh why should the 'grown ups' who pay to take their kids to disney or the people who visit without kids have to be punished for the stupid parents who take young kids in and then complain how terryfying it was. I went back to disney in 2006, no kids in tow, thought we would give the new Stitches great escape a go. I was sooo dissapointed, it was so dumbed down and actually boring, i could not wait to get out. I didn't even experience the smell of the beltch everyone goes on about. I was so dissapointed at how bad it was I felt quite irritated for a while after. Surely Disney provide enough attractions for the younger kids dont the big kids deserve a little fun and excitement too? Maybe we could bombard Disney with complaints or run a petition to do what a fellow member suggested and bring it back to one of the other parks.Well that's my ten cence worth, let me know if you agree. This past January, my Unlce Mike (Cheshire Figment) and I went to the Magic Kingdom, and I wanted to do Stitch first. Being my last visit, I went in The ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter, and it broke down while I was in it, and the evacuated it, so I never got to encounter the alien. So, I was excited about Stitch's Great Escape. Well, I was very disapointed. One thing, the room was alot smaller than I thought. We got the 2nd row. As the "Scanning Units" came down I sat up so once it locked, and I sat back, my head was right in the head rest (Birnbaum's tip). I got spat on by Stitch so I felt honored . Then the lights went out and....nothing. Nothing happened. We just sat there while Stitch was running around and making noise in the dark. One thing really bothered me (actually a few things), Stitch kept refering to himself as Stitch. He wasn't named Stitch at that point! You would of think the Imagineers would of noticed that? Also, I heard him sniffing around but really didn't feel much. I felt some, but not really noticable. When he burps after eating the Chili Dog, I nearly vomited. It was so gross. I never smelled anything so bad before, and I've eaten Nato. Also, I didn't expect the water to squirt from the headrest. As the lights came back to find Stitch, my harness went down two clicks, when I wasn't even pulling it. The cannons looking for him were pretty cool. They got me wet. When the lights went out and Stitch jumps on you, the harness pushes down on you, which kind of hurt. But it wasn't in synch. And then it did it repetidly jamming down. Then, he burped agian. This ride was stupid by this point. So it ends by him hot wiring the system and teleporting out of the room. During the ride, this little boy behind me was freaking out. Actually, all over the room little kids were freaking out. I asked the boy if he was allright while we were walking out and he said, "I was scared at first, but I knew it was fake, and I'm good now." I thought it was cute, I gave him a smile and said, "That's great!" After that I looked at my uncle and asked him if I missed something. It was pretty bad. It was a bitter sweet. I liked it, but at the same time I didn't. I actually went back to ride it, and sat back as the "Scanning Units" came down, and I felt less effects. I just guess it was that bad. Also, every kid I talked to, did not like it. Not a single one did. This is bad. Disney really messed up on this attraction, and I don't see it lasting much longer. I really hope they bring back AE. I will admit a few things. It was kind of bitter sweet, I loved the Tracking Cannons, they were really well done, and the Pre-Show was pretty funny. How the Sarge is taking on the phone with his wife, how he reffers to a girl and her cute outfit while he's picking up a prisnor. I did like the room, becuase it still gave you that un easy feeling like AE did, and I like being locked in and having an alien running around. -Dainan
This was a great ride. My children and I loved it. Animal Kingdom needed something like this to really make it a must see park. I only wish that I had bought the picture of us on this ride. It was so funny! Disney really did a great job with this one from the start to the finish. I love the way it looks in the park too. It's so cool to see a mountain like that in Florida. :)
We were there in Oct 06 when they had the soft openings for this ride. I was thrilled to be able to ride it but I really thought it would be better than it was. I love everything Disney but I wouldn't wait in a long line to see this again.
It was my favorite ride. I only rode it 6 or 7 times.
I'm from the Philippines and I love the show SO MUCH ever since 2003... I didn't like it at first but now I got used to it. Plus, I don't think the globe will disappear for like how long.
The whole family can enjoy this experience. You may want to be careful if you are prone to motion sickness (my mother in law was a little squeamish) but overall this is NOT designed to be an intense experience. It was so cool that everyone clapped as they were lowered at the end of the ride.
Nice experience. Relatively intense for a Disney coaster. The look, appearance and detail given to the coaster and surrounding area is nothing short of amazing.
I loved the film Lilo and Stitch. It was a very simple and cute film. At the time I thought of Stitch as nothing less than adorable. My opinions changed drastically when the stupid, pointless version of Stitch appeared on a television show. The show was nothing less than despicable, possibly one of the worst shows on tv at the time. When I heard that Stitch would be taking over Alien Encounter, I had no clue that he would be taking over every aspect of Disney media at the same time. Now they're treating him as if Walt Disney himself created the little beast. What's next, a Pal Stitch doll? When I first went on SGE, I was thinking that this ride better be good to replace the great experience that took place there before. When I first left SGE, I relized that I was waiting three years to see a copy of Alien Encounter, but two times worse. I loved AE because of the fact that it was scary. It also had great theming as well. SGE was just a scam to advertise Stitch's control over Disney media, making guests sit through a poor experience in very uncomfortable seats as a stupid alien supposedly ran around burping hot dogs and spitting at you. The three points, however are for the awesome, somewhat realistic Stitch Audio-Animatronic that is briefly seen during the show. But a good AA alone isn't enough to keep a show entertaining. In my opinion, Stitch should take another great escape out of the Magic Kingdom, or better yet out of this world.
The Laugh Floor Comedy Club is a fun new show at the Magic Kingdom. It has a great waiting area, and theatre. Plus, the show is a bit diffrent every time! It's great that they made a Monsters Inc. ride without having to actully retell the story. It's got brand new monsters, and some very funny people working on the show. Each show is a bit diffrent, so some will be better than others, but I think it's a great idea, and it's always fun seeing a diffrent show every time.
I have to agree with just about everything that jedimaster said about the show. I saw it on the 15th of March. According to a CM, no more changes to the show are due. For one thing, the wait to get in is too long. Queueing up twice is not a good way to start. I have to admit I did chuckle at some of the jokes for about half the show, but then the show went downhill when Mike's nephew came on. There was nothing funny here at all and even so the cannister was filled and the show ended -- what!? Ending on a down note is not good as it leaves an empty feeling - like why did I just waste my time with this and why would I watch this again? Turtle Talk has repeatability and is FUNNY. This show needs major changes quickly otherwise it's going to turn into another Stitch ride (i.e. now everyone (almost) knows it's lame). Sorry people, Tomorrowland needs something good to come along quickly - and this isn't it.
We went to see it yesterday. It was very low-keyed. A cast member was standing at the door and we asked if they were doing the show. He said,"Yes, you will have about a 10 minute wait." I told my husband and 4 year old grandson I wanted to wait as I had heard all the negative stuff and wanted to check it out for myself. First, you wait in line in the outer theater and the line zig zags so they can probably hold 100 to 120 people. After the first door opens you go down the slanted hallway (just like TimeKeeper) and wait before some more doors. There are TV monitors here and they say you can text in your jokes to the number on the screen. In the show when they used the jokes they told who had submitted them - this was on the video screen. When the door opens you go into the theater. If I remember correctly it is done in red with blue benches. Some of the benches have tables in front of them with lamps on them. It reminded me of a night club. I thought it was very nicely done. I think the lamps are there to give more lightning for the people they select to be on camera. If you want to be on camera or have Mike talk to you - you will need to be sure and sit near the middle of the aisle. The cast member with the mike in his hand never left the middle aisle. We were first in so of course we were on the end. My grandson was disappointed that he didn't get on camera. It reminded me of Crush - same principal. We really enjoyed the show. It was 10 to 12 minutes long. Yes, some of the jokes are corny but it was FUN!!! I think it will be a big hit for the Magic Kingdom just because people like to be involved and on the big screen. I'm glad I enjoyed it. I'm sure they will fine tune it and it will get better and better. I still miss TimeKeeper and wish it was still there but I know time marches on and my grandson definitely knew these characters where he wouldn't have a clue about Time Keeper.
I was privy to a test showing of the new Laugh Floor Comedy Club show at Magic Kingdom. After reading most of the reviews I did not expect much. I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed myself. The same technology that allows Crush, in turtle talk, to talk is at work here. The jokes, although corny and juvenile fit the show perfectly. The kids loved it and the crowds seem to laugh many times. I think the third act needs the most work. They asked for jokes from the audience before the show and it seems like the last comic really had a hard time getting people on his side. There was a lot of downtime in searching for people and jokes in this last act but the other two seemed pretty polished. I would have liked to see Sully or Boo somewhere during the show but I guess everyone has their own favorites. All in all I think the show will be a hit with children and people who have children with them. Every show will be unique in their own way since no one can predict what the audience participation will bring. This gives the show more ride-ability. The theater is a nice change with the benches and will be welcomed on those hot summer days. Other then it not really fitting into the motif of Tomorrowland I really don’t have anything else negative to say. If you haven’t seen it, then get there and see it, just don’t expect an “E” ticket attraction and I am sure you will enjoy yourself.
This is a show I was expecting not to like but I have to say it impressed me greatly! I was expecting everything to be half done but was very surprised to find out how full and rich this show is. It has great themeing and a great script. The only thing that can hurt this show is if you get an off cast member. Other than that I highly recommend this show.
We got to see this show when we went the first week of March.. I thought it was cute and funny..the audience participation was great and the jokes were corny and silly. I like the way the theatre is set up and I think it will be a great hit with kids and adults alike..:)
Dateline: March 6th 2007 We were walking in Tomorrowland, and saw people going into The Laugh Floor Comedy Club. We ran over to get in. Inside they have posters and TV screens. On the TV was a # for you to text message your name, where you are from, and a joke that they may use in the show. When you get inside you have a chair to sit in and it has AC! When the show started Mike Wascoski (sp?) came out welcomed everyone with some jokes they have Roz on a different screen, and 3 other characters that we don’t know. Between acts in the show they put a spot light on different people in the audience and a funny caption under them. ( My friend’s caption said “This guy is going to buy Curios for everyone after the show.”) They also have audience perception when the character doing his act asks questions with the help of a cast member with a mike. All in all they have a lot of different ways to interact with the audience. On the technical side the last part of the show Mike’s mouth was moving, but we couldn’t hear what he said. All together I thought the show was fun …..For kids. I would not pay a cover charge with a two drink minim, but it was fun
Wouldn't it be sad to stand in the Space Mountain loading area and not see the PeopleMover (now known as TTA) winding its way above you? I loved riding this as our first ride in Tomorrowland so that my boyfriend, a WDW first-timer, could see the inside of Space Mountain and get a relaxing ride along with an overview of Tomorrowland. It was near sunset and the lights were coming on in the MK, so it was really lovely. One thing I especially love is seeing the Epcot model. If you look closely, you can see it has a double Ferris wheel, which always makes me a feel bit sad/nostalgic because there are no working double Ferris wheels anywhere in the world now.
Expedition Everest was the best ride I've ever been on! I was scared with one thing. When you're in the mountain, I actually thought you were going down NOT UP! Other then that, it was great. The yeti was a great AA. We got to see version A of the yeti and I really hope to never see version B EVER!
Ah Innoventions...I have such a love hate relationship with you. I love the idea of future products being available and 15 years ago it was a great idea. But now the products have not really kept up with the new technology, and did I see EA sports videogames as one of the attractions? I can play those at my house... So I don't wanna see it go, but they can do ALOT with the amount of space Innoventions takes up.
Easliy in the top 2 best rides in all of wdw. Amazing. I'm almost speechless.
I have never rode Indiana Jones, but this doesn't have a real lot of thrill factor. It has a good story line and really nice animatronics though. There is a lot of technology put into it. The vehicles are high tech and "bounce" with a hydraulic like aparatus. It draws fair sized crowds and is, I think a fun ride!
Outstanding. Absolutely mind blowing. We've been 1 1times to WDW and ALWAY go on this at least 3 times. Top Tip - do the meal thing at Mamma Melrose's or another participating restaurant first where you skip the wait and get priority seating also - start a MEXICAN WAVE!!! its amazing to see that many people doing the wave because of you!!
We've always loved EPCOT ever since our first visit in 1990. In 2004 though it really was beginning to look a little tired. At the peak of the season there were less staff, walls with peeling paint and tired carpets etc.. We'd love to see EPCOT get a lick of paint and some of the TLC it deserves - have the accountants cut the staffing??!
Still worth a visit for seasoned WDW guests. The content means something but the auditoriums are staring to look a little shabby in places.
We have been to WDW 11 times and never ever tire of this fantastic parade. The music is uplifting, the sets sensational and the chrarcters timeless. We plan to use the music at our wedding next year as its so magical!
though your only in the water for 30 minutes, it's one of the best tours I have ever done. look forward to redoing the tour each time I go back It's not so much the dive that make sit fun, but the way the Guests at disney interact with you through the glass that really makes it exciting, to see the look on little kids faces when your playing with them or showing attention to them while your swimming. I can't wait for my 3rd, 4th or even 100th dive when I am there.
Before I begin my review, I think some background would be helpful. I've been to WDW 10+ times, and on one of my past trips, I thought I'd shake things up by taking a private tour. I didn't want to take a tour alone, which limited my choices. (Most of my family members prefer to keep WDW's inner workings a secret. Too much knowledge would ruin the magic for them, and that eliminated the Utilidor tour, which I really wanted to take.) I did some research, and everyone had great things to say about this tour. Price is definitely a factor in deciding whether or not to take it. When I took it (in 2004), it was $75 a person. I didn't know where else I'd ever be able to ride a Segway, so I decided to go for it. As others have noted, there are discounts available to Passholders. Disney's Visa cardholders qualify for discounts on some tours, but I'm not sure if this is one of them or not. I talked my dad into taking this tour with me. At the time, we were 48 and 23. We opted for the earlier class so that there would be fewer obstacles (IE, human beings!) out and about during the World Showcase portion of the tour. As you probably know, this version of the Segway tour is two hours long - one hour for instruction, and one for the World Showcase tour. Two of the ten people in our class were repeat visitors, which says a lot. We had two main instructors, although a third joined us for part of the session. The class began with a PowerPoint presentation. Then came the practical portion. Everyone has to wear a helmet. You learn how to operate the Segway, its different modes, and how to get on and off it. You'll learn to go forward and backward, how to turn, go uphill and downhill, and duck. Some people think that an hour is too long for this training session. It certainly seems long, because you're really itching to get out and go, but I think you benefit from all of the different "practice runs" they put you through. As a general note, we only had one person in our class have any real trouble, and it was very minor. As we were weaving in and out of cones, a lady in her 50s (?) ran into the wall because she overcompensated on a turn. She was completely fine - more embarrassed than anything, I think. General notes on Segways - they're very smart. (For instance, they tell you when you're going too fast.) They're also very sensitive. I never realized how many tiny movements I make until I tried to stand still on a Segway. I twitched constantly for the first hour and a half of the class. (I was quite proud once I actually managed to be still.) The World Showcase part of the tour is informative and fun, although it may be more informative than fun to some. You go on little guided tours through various pavilions. Your teachers share information about the pavilion or the relevant country as you go. The courses through the pavilions are designed to make you use all the skills you practiced in the "classroom" portion. You will go up and downhill. You may need to duck under tree branches. However, if you're uneasy about tackling a certain course, you won't have to. You can stay with an instructor. You do get a small amount of "free time" to play. You don't have a huge area to work with, but it was still fun. You may get a cheap thrill when, at the end of your World Showcase tour, you pass lots of fellow guests while heading back to your classroom. I had several people ask me what I was riding and how they could rent one. (Note - my teachers gave the class a general idea as to how Disney wants you to respond to those questions.) Overall, we both really enjoyed this tour. It was fun, challenging, unique, and educational. I would do it again.
Kali River Rapids is great. The jungle you float through is pretty cool and it also has a message about clearcutting. You will get wet and you may get soaked. My family went on it twice and we almost drowned it was so wet. We had to change clothes before we went to the next park!
The Seas with Nemo and Friends is the former Living Seas pavilion, risen from the ashes to appeal to a new generation. With a renewal of the former SeaCabs in the form of Nemo's Undersea Adventure, guests can get closer to the tank than ever before and do so in an entertaining manner. The pavilion has now been covered in a new Nemo style facade, adding to the new look of the pavilion. The pavilion has turned out wonderfully, but my one hitch is that the emphasis on the seas has been lowered tremendously, straying the pavilion's message away from what it once was. Other than that, I have no problems with the new changes...
The Laugh Floor Comedy Club, a new staple for the powering of Monstropolis. Well, if laughter is what powers the city, you might want to bring a candle, because there won't be any power coming from this club. The concept of the attraction- to create a comedy club using the monsters from the popular Pixar film (though only two of the original characters appear) that utilizes the Living Character technology found in Turtle Talk with Crush. The experience may sound like it will work but from the time you walk into the queue line, you feel like the Imagineers created a half-baked experience. The queue uses posters to "excite" the guests for the attraction, though the room's theming is minimal and does not match the look or feel of the show itself. Once the queue fills up and the timer hits about 604 (a clock themed like a controller for the door), the doors open so that you may enter the pre-show room. During my preview, the pre-show video was not shown so I cannot judge that, but my hope is that this video provides some explaination as to why they Monster's have opened a comedy club in Tomorrowland of all places. This room looks to be more Monster's related but still lacks in the feeling of true character that the Imagineers normally show in any other attraction's queue line. There are a few inside jokes within this room (including a wall titled, "What the Critics Say," in honor [or rememberance] of the extra time and poor reviews that the attraction recieved during its preliminary testing). Finally after another 15 minutes, we moved on to the theater and walked down towards the plastic looking rows of benchs that covered the showroom. Immediately ahead of you are two screens and a door (levetating so that it may be adjacent to the main [middle] screen). On the first screen on the left is Roz, the club's supervisor. On the main screen is a "stage" where the comedians perform. The door on the right is actually a screen where Mike (from the film) enters and exits through after each comedian's performance. To the right of the door is a laugh cannister, formerly a scream cannister. This is meant to gauge the audience's laughter but at the time filled up regardless of the fact that almost no one in the audience laughed at any of the jokes. For the show aspect of the experience, the monsters singled out different members of the audience to help them tell jokes, picking them out with a spotlight overhead. The comedians themselves were hardly funny or familiar with the characters, making it even harder to relate to the show. There were no in theater effects, nor were there any more senses tapped than our eyes or ears. The show's concept has always been lack and the execution proves this. The show is only worth seeing for the sake of being able to say that you did. After one visit, you won't be desperate to come back... Dateline: October 1st, 2010- The Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club goes out of business....
This is THE best live entertainment at any Disney park anywhere as voted by cast members worldwide, and they ought to know. The 5 kilted lads play classic celtic songs (but a definitely upbeat version), classic rock (with a twist - namely bagpipes), original pieces, and audience interaction. They are world class musicians, and it shows. Sometimes you cannot walk past the Canada area at EPCOT due to large numbers of people clogging the walkway clapping, toe-tapping and often dancing. It's pretty hard to sit still while listening to them. They are very fan friendly and will sign any of their five CDs for you. You can see all five shows a day and none of them are the same, or even close. I tried to rate them a 15/10 but was unable to do so. Did I mention good looking guys in kilts?
La Nouba is one of those shows that really does amaze the audience each and every time. There are things done in here that are quite incredible, and defy the capabilities of most regular humans. As well as incredible acrobatics and physical stunts, there is a great musical score and vocal performances, all done live. To complete the scene, there are some great large scale sets. The theater is a wonderful $10 million custom built venue, all seats have an excellent view. I highly recommened seeing this show at least once, its worth every penny of the asking price!
Hi Everone, Try this ride. It is the most realistic ride ever. This ride simulates very realistic G-forces. It is wery close to one that real astronouts feels. How do I know it? I worked over 3 years for programming this ride. I was working in USA and one of tho software engineers writing control software for the ride. I ensure you it is fafe ride :)) For Turkish people reading this forum. Be proud because Turkish Engineers programmed such a marvelous ride!!!!
I took this tour in 2002, so things may have changed, but I thought it helped me fall in love with WDW all over again. Seeing the care, detail, and thought that went into the WS totally blew me away and you learned dozens of things about the design of the exhibits that you couldn't possibly find on a sign or display as you walked around. I just saw the announcement that the tour is being discontinued, and I am sad. I highly recommend catching it while you can!
I don't think the wave pool concept gets any better than this one. Its HUGE, has giant (and I mean GIANT) waves, beaches, tropical settings, and a wonderful back drop. The wave system in this pool is so powerful they even hold surfing lessons in here. The only downside to this wave pool is that the wave action may be to much for young kids and those are not strong swimmers.
For some reason I just dont find this wave pool to be fun. It's always very crowded, noisy, the waves arent relaxing, and it just doesnt do it for me. I much prefer the giant wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon.
There are three curving body slides, Rudder Buster, Stern Burner and Jib Jammer. Each slide gives you a different experience, and are some of the most fun slides I have ever been on. They arent the fastest, steepest, longest, but just plain fun. They have a very high re-ride capacity. One word of warning though, you need to be pretty fit to keep riding these over and over, as the steps up to the top are long and winding.
This thing is VERY fast! It takes on a double dipper format, and you get some serious airtime as you basically take off and leave the safety of the slide for a fraction of a second. It is about the same high as Summit Plummit right next door, and has a fairly long queue, mainly due to the 'one rider at a time' ride system. Not for the timid, but a great thrill!!
Lazy rivers are a staple part of a water park experience, and this is the best in my opinion. It's long, surrounded by tropical landscapes, lots of fun features along the route, and has a huge rider capacity. It can get busy during peak times, so it's worth visiting this attarction earlier or later in the day. For the ultimate, go on an Extra Magic Hours night, and have the whole lazy river nearly to yourself. For the swimmers amongst you, skip the tube, and swim the whole way around. It's just deep enough! (Blizzard Beach's lazy river is not deep enough to swim in)
This is one great addition to Typhoon Lagoon. It's fast, thrilling, and best of all, multi-passenger, so you can share the fun with your co-riders. There are 3 different slides for you to ride on, and they each average around 400ft in length. The slides have a very neat start sequence, where you sit on the raft, and when ready, you get dispatched into the slide via a conveyor belt. Powerful water jets fire you up and down hills until you reach the end of the slide and splash down into the pool below. My only slight gripe is that I wish the slides were longer, but isnt that always the case! Do not miss this one on your next trip to Typhoon Lagoon!!
It's cute, but not that impressive. To be hoest, those projection technology maybe really something to talk about but does nothing for me, at least nothing special. And I doubt regular visitors would feel "WOW" when they see Nemo projected in a aquarium. But the reason I gave it a 3 is that I am sick of anything associated with Pixar. That's just me.
I only remember getting to ride the swan boat once when I was little and even then, I really enjoyed it. It made me feel like a princess. I had some really old, old film developed and one of the few images that came out was a picture of me, sitting on that swan boat.
Okay, I admit that I didn't really get the whole story on this ride but then again I was a little kid when I rode it. However, how can you not love a ride where all of a sudden your "run over by a train" and then end up in "hell" with all these liitle "devil toads with pitchforks" Dali would have been proud!
I've been going to WDW since the 70's. My family and I always visited Tomorrow Land as the last area before going home. Everyone really enjoyed this. I remember the chairs looking like an outerspace egg. Because of this ride, I developed a love for travel and eventually became a travel agent for Disney!!
I've been going to the HM since the 70's. A trip to the MK is not complete without at least one ride on a "Doombuggy". From entering the streching room, to the ride though out all the "floors" and then finally the hitchhiking ghosts. This is Disney at its most complete theming. I'm a huge HM fan and since they've opened up the Castle for overnight guest, I'm now waiting for my turn to spend the night in the HM!
My husband and I really enjoy this ride. We always go on the boat and then get a margarita afterwards at one of the outdoor cafes. Yes the ride is slow and not for everyone. I really like the fireworks and the crazy lady trying to sell me stuff. If your looking for something relaxing and somewhere cool to take a rest, then I recommend this ride. Its really not that bad.
Horizons is my absolute favorite theme park attraction of all time. Although not an Epcot Center original as most assume, it represented everything that was great about Epcot the concept and the park. Unfortunately most if not all of that is gone now, but that doesn't change the fact that the show scenes, the story, the humor, the music, the first Disney use of IMAX, the smell of the oranges, and the beauty of it's infectiousness are unsurpassed since.
Take Indiana Jones Adventure. Remove the track exactly as it is out of it's massive show building and put it in a little green warehouse. Paint all the walls black and put some blacklight shrubs here and there. Then build some really nifty animatronics but make sure to spread them out enough so that they don't register and also make sure the most impressive ones are hidden in the dark. Change the audio from thrilling John Williams music to a computer telling us what we can't see and a guy screaming for you to turn from left to right and to go go go! Next remove the massive themed queue and put in a quaint museum and pre-show which are kinda nice. Make sure the load area is larger and more interesting then any show scene in the attraction. Oh and last but not least make sure that when the audience gets to behold are most expensive full body Carnotaurus we flash them in the face and blind them making sure that all the see it it's head and not the rest of it's impressive body.
The Matterhorn at Disneyland accomplishes Everest's mission more completely than the ride that was built specifically for that purpose. You get a full sense of a monster finding and pursuing you as you careen wildly down a mountain for a good 3 minutes or so. On Everest, it's more like you swing by and annoy some monster while passing through a mountain and doing a helix for about a minute and a half. It's an embarrassing coaster even by Thunder Mountain standards, which even though it doesn't provide you with a "big drop" definitly gives you a convincing and thrilling jouney with a great many thematic elements and a decent duration. The queue is neat but a bit reminicent of a watered down Kali queue. The mountain is tall but not wide leaving no room for the ride to actually do anything. The most amazing moment of Everest is when we not only go backwards into the mountain but also travel back to 1959 when steel structural supports were visible within the Matterhorn. In the coming years, imagineers sought to create a more realistic mountain and covered all of that up with cavewalls, icicles, and crystals. However now in 2005, we build Everest and we are right back to looking at steel supports. Perhaps they designed the backwards section to be seen by looking foward accidentally. One thing that would infinitly improve the attraction would be to go back to some of the original designs for the ride done almost 6 years ago. In the original version, the steam engine (in front) would've detatched giving the reason for the backwards section. When you came to a stop before going foward again, instead of the Kongfrontation homage you would see a huge animatronic monster whom you could not escape from. Then after that shock you would launch foward. That scene would've improved the ride immensely. Instead we get the Yeti shadow which is quite terrible when you realise the scale is completely off and he either shrinks before we see him again or he is destroying his toy train set. I won't even get on the plastic bird because compared to this other stuff, he's ok in my book.
Ya'll shouldn't hatin on body wars now, it's a fun ride and it doesn't really make you sick. True, it isn't Star Tours, but it isn't too much inferior. Also it is almost never open, but all the complaining is wrong. Body Wars is a good ride!!!!!
On of the original rides made by Walt Disney himself and truly a great classic. It never really gets old. It takes for ever to load though. The surtoundings are amiazing though. Kilimanjaro Safaris trumps it because of real animals and some other details, but Jungle cruise is the original. Awesome ride, a definate must see. wish it loaded faster though.
I just rode this ride this weekend and i was expecting a little more...but I had to think of it more as a ...Finding Nemo version of a ride such as Snow white or peter pan. The begining is a little boring but i loved Surfing the EAC with crush and all the bubbles i also liked the deep see fish that moved around...And nemo and all the other fish swimming with the real fish was amazing! i still cant figure out how they did that...it was one of the coolest things ive seen.
I always loved the ride. I am sure I still would being an adult now too. It was jsut something about the feeling you were in a real sub exploring the oceans. Sure the effects were bad, but that was not what gave the ride its fun. The waits were extremely long, but so was every other ride (except if you had wings) since the MK was the only park they had during the 70's until Epcot opened in 82. It will be missed, seeing it as nothing but some trees and a retention pond makes me kinda sick. It causes me to lose faith in WDW's management. I am sure many of us have already heard Disneyland will be reopening the submarine voyage as Nemo. I saw it last year during construction. I am hoping to visit Disneyland again in 2008 after the nemo ride is open and the new monorails are in place. Scott
I remember the first time I rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We rode it 4 times in a row, it was at night and during Country Magic. I have rode this coaster at elast a hundred times, its fun everytime! It is not a something that will scare you silly, but it is thrilling at some parts and just plain fun in all. You will laugh almost the whole time. If you want a good fun coaster make sure you ride this. If your a little nervous, dont be, you will have fun. If coaster scare you ride towards the front. It is much slower. The back seat is the best!!! If you dont believe me ride the back first, then do the front. Early Morning, slight rain, or late at night are the slow times. During slow times of the year you will see 10 to 30 minute waits, during peak times, well why are you even trying hahaha, just kidding, 45 to 90 minutes. Have fun!!!
Very well done musical. Better than average songs, nice puppetry, some cute jokes, and the occasional snippet of the type of visual stunnery that you can only experience at Disney World. The only reason you wouldn't check this out is if you don't like Nemo or musicals at all. Soon, there will be a great debate. Is the best live show at Disney World FOTLK or FNTM?
Very good ride. For the first 2/3 of the ride, I was thinking that it was an OK dark ride. I was really impressed with the animated projections and the background detail/artwork. However, I wasn't blown away until the end of the ride when it looked like the animated fish were swimming with the real fish. For me, this has a HUGE "How in the heck did they do that component?" Also, the addition of the catchy song from the Nemo musical which I had seen just a few days previous was nice.
Of course it is closed now to make room for Soarin, a great ride. But Food rocks was really a good show that talked about the importance of good health and put an interesting twist on classic songs. The animatronic like characters were a good touch and the show overall was put together very well, it was on eof my favorite shows, but despite that, it probably isn't quite better than Soarin.
I love every part of it except the spiders!
Disney never should have closed it. I love the music. The actors were very talented. Although I love puppets in shows like the new Nemo and Mermaid, this was a very good quality show that was very underrated. Bring it back or take it to Broadway!
The new songs are impressive. The decorations and puppets are astonishing. The theater is huge! I loved Tarzan Rocks, which this show replaced, but Nemo is great too. Go see it for sure!
The songs, performers, acrobats, characters, all amazing. A must see for all ages.
I'm sorry, but this show needs a huge makeover. Either that, or it just needs to go. The concept is cute, but the whole show is filled with cheesy songs and very low quality puppets. Something you'd see at Chucky Cheese. Boring for kids and adults.
Whether your kids find it boring or not, it is a show they should all see. When I was young, I was so bored, but now that I am older, it is one of my favorites and I really learned to appreciate it. Disney should never get rid of the ride.
I enjoy it even more than the broadway version! It's not as long, but it still includes all the characters and unforgettable songs!
All the sodas are decent except for Italy!
This was really fun for the whole family. Much better than new attractions such as Sounds Dangerous or Bear In The Big Blue House. Bring it back, Disney!!
I may be just getting old, but Disney's done much better. I expected to come out of the ride loving it as much as I love Peter Pan's Flight and Winnie The Pooh, etc., but it seemed like a very low-quality ride that didn't have enough put into it. There were no audio-animatrotics or puppets except for maybe 1 throughout the entire attraction. It just showed the computer-animated characters on screens, with underwater scenery around them. The only part that was interesting was at the end where Nemo and friends are projected so that it makes it look like they are swimming with real fish. That impressed me, but not much more did.
The theme, waiting area, everything! Expedition Everest is da bomb! you must ride it 10/10
In my opinion, this show is the best "attraction, ride, pavilion, etc." at WDW. I have seen it many times, and enjoy it more each time. Simply a spectacle to behold, a MUST see! It's no mystery why the original 15-month show has been extended (last I heard) out to 2009. I hope they extend it out beyond that, as I can't fathom how they could improve on it.
Sorry Folks, yelling out "somebody get Lilo" just doesn't have the same effect in the dark as "SOMEONE GET RIPLEY"
I love the muppets. I was so excited as I went into this great theater and then, I got to the seats. What is up with Disney putting in all these really small seats? Why not just put in long benches like in the Country Bears or Hall of Presidents? You still get the same number of people, maybe even more, instead of these little seats that are so uncomfortable that your more focused on how bad your hips are hurting than the show. Again, another great show that I won't be going back to because the seats are too small for people that are heavy or have any size to them.
Whither your a fan of the Hall or not, definatly go in and look around in the large waiting room/area. All around the room are portraits of the presidents. Also they have various items displayed like Clinton's saxaphone!
This is my mother's all time favorite MK attraction. She just loves the songs and "Miss COME UP AND SEE ME SOMETIME" Bear. I wish they would put in a gift shop where you could get replica's of all the bears and maybe even a CD with more music on it.
Before you go know this, the theater is small. I had gone before when I was working for Disney and checked out the theater. The seats that are on the 2nd and 3rd tier are alot larger and WAY more comfortable than those close to the stage. When I checked out the theater, I actually sat in one of the 2nd tier seats to see how comfortable they were. I wanted to know since I figure if I'm going to a 2 hours show, I better know if I'm going to like the seat. I won tickets so me and my husband go to see the show. I get my tickets and they are in seats 4 rows from the stage. These seats are ALOT SMALLER. Now this is a problem because I'm a large person. There was no way I could sit in this seat for 30 minuets, let alone 2 hours. My husband I got up and went to find an usher so we could ask about changing the seats. Now this usher did not speak English. This is a problem. They have no clue what I'm asking them. I finally get them to understand that I need to change seats because the seats are too small for me on the 4th row. I told them I'd even prefer something way up in the top area, even on the side where the view isn't so good. Well, the usher disapears for about 15 minuets and when she came back she had 2 plastic chairs. She wanted us to sit in even SMALLER Chairs up on the main aisle where they wheelchairs go. I was so hurt I just left. I will NEVER go to another Cirque show becasue of this. I'm writing this to let anyone who is larger know that if you really want to see this show, then make sure to get seats on the 2nd or 3rd tier. They are larger and padded. The seats that are on the main floor (below to main walkway up to the stage) are smaller and have no padding.
My family and I always loved this. It was always the last attraction that we visited before we left the MK. Even though you had to stand to enjoy it, the overwhelming sensation of "flying" was great. I loved how no matter where you looked, there was a view of where ever the camera was visiting. I've always loved to travel and this gave me lots more citys to add to my list.
I'm so glad they put a ride back in at the Living Seas. I went in 83 to EPCOT and I remember going on an elevator down to an area where there were cars and then riding around the big aquarium. I was so dissapointed when I returned years later to find out that now you just basically walked in and looked at the various tanks. I enjoyed the new ride and the whole "staging" area before with the sand dunes and the "underwater" effect before getting on the ride. The only thing that I wish EPCOT would do is to release their dolphins back to the wild. I was disturbed to see that they keep the dolphins seperated in what looks like a smaller tank and then let out into the larger viewing tank one or 2 at a time. When I was there, after they let out just one dolphin, he swam around looking like he was so glad to be able to move more freely. Then, he went back over to the screen where another dolphin was waiting and hung out there. It was sad to see them seperated like that.
Okay, first off, I love roller-coasters but absolutely hate spinning rides. They always make me feel like blaahh. Mind you, an attraction/ride has never made me throw up either. Anyways, I was very apprehensive about trying Mission: SPACE. When I visited this past summer I tried the tame version first. Well, that was no fun at all, let me tell you! So I convinced my girlfriend to try the full version first since she has no problems spinning. She loved it so I gave it a try..........I was so glad I decided to give it a try!!! The ride is awesome and I never felt any ill effects whatsoever. No dizzyness, nausea or any discomfort like I have heard so many people complain about. I ended up going on the attraction at least 5 times during our trip. I will say at the very beginning you feel as though you are about to get dizzy, but if you just concentrate on the screen in front of you, you will be laughing and having a blast in no time! My only complaint about the ride is that it's a little too short. Another minute or two would have made it a 10.
My kids and I are very much roller coaster people. We LOVED EE. It's fast enough to please a coaster enthusiast, and creative enough to please the disneyfan in me. From the top of the lift hill you can see much of the WDW property. Then it's a very fun 2 to 3 minutes of winding track backwards and forward, with a final push past the Yeti. The coaster effects are supurb, and it's not crazy enough to tear you apart. Just smooth, curvy, and fast. I think it appeals to the same group that loves Space Mountain. Well Done Disney.
I admit that I was skeptical at first about a feature-length animated movie that did not originally include songs being converted into a 30-minute musical. It all sounded a little fishy to me. However, seeing is believing and I can not say enough good things about the results. From the amazing puppets by Michael Curry, to the clever lyrics and complex music by the husband and wife team of Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, to the brilliant stage direction by Peter Brosius - Finding Nemo, The Musical is worthy of Broadway. Although the performers are within sight, it does not detract from the performance. Since the puppets have very limited facial movement, it's up to the performer to convey emotion. It all works amazing well and I was captivated from the overture to the final curtain calls. My only complaint is that Finding Nemo, The Musical is so popular, that it's hard to get in. Currently, the line snakes into Dinoland USA, crossing the main pathway and wrapping all the way to Triceratops Spin. Better queue management is needed, and I'm sure that WDW will make adjustments soon. Once inside, don’t sit in the lower sections, closer to the stage. Several of the performers appear on the walk-way between the upper and lower seating areas, as well is the center ramp. Sitting to close to the stage will limit sight of these performers. Favorite moments include the use of wires to give the appearance of swimming, creative sets, including video in the ‘bubbles’ that flank the stage, and the song, Big, Blue World. As a bonus, the beautiful and lyrically Big, Blue World, is also featured at the end of the new omni-mover attraction at the renamed, The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion at Epcot. Go sea it!
Made to feel like an arcade shooting gallery, you assume the role of "space rangers" to attempt to foil the evil Emperor Zurg's plot to...destoy...something... You control the cars, and shoot at "Z"s all over the attraction. Certain "Z"s will give you more points, and the game itself is addicting. When you are done shooting those blasted "Z"s, you compare scores with your shooting buddy...and find out who the best "space ranger" is!
This attraction is a wonderful Disney classic, and though it may seem like a high-speed coaster, this "mountain" is actually the most tame of the "Triple Mountain Trifecta" Though the queue is not very elaborate (wooden floors, wooden ceilings, and wooden railings), the ride more than makes up for it. The lines are generally long from mid morning until the park closes, and particularly at night (as most outdoor attractions are). But if both tracks are operating, then your wait shouldn't be more than 20 minutes. The ride is aboard a "runaway train", and you go past falling rocks, old mining towns, and waterfalls. Once on board, you realize that this "high speed coaster" is actually no more terrifying than...oh...say...The Great Movie Ride at Disney Studios. In that, there are no big drops, no loops, and no extended periods of time in darkness. This is a great coaster for people who do not like roller coasters, and a classic ride that everyone must experience.
Looming in the distance of Animal Kingdom, a mountain awaits. Though it seems small from a distance, as you begin to approach it you realize that this mountain is quite large, and quite intimidating. Expedition Everest, the newest mountain in the Disney repertoire is - in my opinion - one of the greatest attractions that Disney has designed and built in the last 10 years. Everything about this attraction is large, and as you line up to experience this "forbidden mountain" you'll realize exactly how much time and effort was put into creating this attraction. The queue is elaborate, with many different and exotic trinkets that your eyes cannot help but to look at. And you begin to realize that this "legend" that you have only heard about, is very real - and you are about to come face to face with him...the Yeti. Once you reach the loading platform, you see the ride vehicle that will take you on this adventure to the peak of Everest. An old train, with a screeching whistle and steam coming from the rear. Your stomach is at your neck at this point in anticipation, and when you sit down...the energy you feel is like nothing else in this world. The train begins to move, and there is no turning back now. Circling around the mountain, you begin to climb...past shrines repelling the Yeti from the village below, over snow, and through the icy caverns that is Everest. At this point, I will stop myself from revealing any details that ensue after this point...I would not want to ruin any surprises for anyone. But I feel I should say that this ride DOES go backwards, but not through any loops. And there is one long drop in the middle of the ride. Seeing the Yeti for yourself is an experience that you will never forget. His image will be burned into your brain, and yet...you will still be asking yourself if you really saw him. Did you imagine him? When the experience is over, the train pulls up to the station, and your adventure through Expedition Everest is complete. You have survived. Now go buy a souvenir photo! Definitely a "must see" attraction for any coaster enthusiast, and a "family attraction" that will delight members of (almost) any age group. I gave this attraction a 9, simply for the fact that I wish it had been just a little longer. But do not let that stop you. Go to Animal Kingdom, and experience Expedition Everest!
I can't believe how much people make such a big deal out of this ride. It is not near as bad as people make it out to be. I was terrified before I got on because people tell such horror stories about it(DONT BELIEVE THEM). This ride is awesome. It is so unlike any ride anywhere. My stomach is not that strong either. Spiing rides make me feel sick and this ride did not make me queesy at all. Just follow the directions and you will love it!
I thought the ride was very cute, and it was really cool to be able to see Dory and Marlin and Nemo and our other favorite characters swimming with the actual fish. The entire pavilion itself is filled with more life and more color and it helps children learn through Nemo, and that is what I think will keep them so fascinated with the pavilion.
I love it so much that every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday I go to the club. The cast knows who I am and I know their stage names. They are really funny and I love seeing them when I can go to the club. I hate the nights that I am unable to go to the club.
I love this ride so much that I rode 300 times. I loved it ever since I rode it the first time. The first time that I rode it was last Febaury when it was soft openings once and then again in July. I started counting the number of time in Sept. when I first moved down here from Connecticut. I've made friends with most of the cast members there. And when they were having a going away party for all the College program kids they invited me to go. The most times that I rode the ride was 36 times on Hollween day. That was a fun day were they open up the fastpass line for everyone to go thru.
I loved the ride I think the ride is a great addition to Epcot. The only that I was diappointed with was the Little Mermaid Glow light effect with the deep sea fang fish.I wish they had double stacked the video screens and added Dory and Marlin to that section.Cruzin with the Turtles was awsome. Just a note Enjoy the small Turtle Talk while you can before they move it to the bigger room to cut down the lines, it will lose the intimacy that makes it great.Im wondering if they are going to reopen it in the new larger room following the coming rehab.
It takes a bit of effort (and on vacation, that can be a stretch!), but this attraction is interesting, and very, very well-done. The view from the top is great, too!
I first visited the park shortly after it opened and have been an annual visitor ever since. I have enjoyed how the park has evolved, , from the aesthetically pleasing but short of things to do start, to its present maturing image as the Worlds most attractive park with a range of attractions that should suit everyone. Dinorama may be WDW s most controversial construction of the Eisner downsizing era but it is still fun. Expedition Everest is a good coaster presented as only Disney can and the Safari is different on every trip. The sad thing about AK is that many guests dont take the time to enjoy the surroundings, explore the trails and sit and watch the animals, simply blasting from ride to ride then complain that its half a day park. Take your time make the effort you may be surprised at what you find.
This is the most Magical Park, probably because this is what started FL. You just feel like a child again. For me it brings back my visit in 77 with my dad and my Honeymoon with the wife. Our first picture was in a empty MK park with Mickey. We were going to Cindy's character breakfast and out the big Cheese walks.
This park wear in out by all the walking. It has some of the greatest rides, Sorin, Turtle Talk and Test Track. Many places to eat.
Out of the four parks, this is now our least favorite. It wasn't always that way, but the rides haven't been updated in years. A park we used to spend all day in now only gets a half day from us.
I remember this park was our secret. Not many understood the park and it felt like we had the park to ourselves. Well the secret is out. Seems everyone now loves the park. It's still our favorite but we have to share it with everyone.
Having only been to the Seas pavilion once before the refurb to the Nemo theme, I may not have as much to input, but I thought the changes were gtreat. The Nemo ride was one of my favorites, very good special effects, great songs, lots of fun. But the best upgrade is Turtle Talk. We were laughing so hard we were crying, then crying because it was so cute and warm! A little boy told Crush that he loved him, and the whole room just melted. Amazing technology with amazing resutls. It seems that the changes have injected some life into what I thought was a somewhat stale pavilion. It was interesting before and impressive, but not nearly as much fun as it is now. And how can you not love the seagulls out front?? :)
A must see a Pleasure Island!! For years I always walked by, until one year it started downpouring while we were waiting for the Comedy Club. The rest is history!
This attraction quickly loses its appeal after you have experienced it once. Desperately needs to be revamped...
This is a great tour for Epcot fans. Lots of backstage areas are visited, including the corporate lounges of Spaceship Earth and the Living Seas. Each tour varies, depending on the guide and operational conditions, but as well as the lounges, we visited the Reflections of Earth marina, costuming, the backstage maintenence areas, walked under the Test track tracks, the international cast member building, Mission Space tower control, and the former Image Works area in Imagination. The tour lasts around 4 hours, and involves a lot of walking, so you need to be in reasonable condition. A real nice bonus was being given VIP viewing of Reflections of Earth for that evening. As usual with tours, a lot depends on how good the guide is, and the attitude of the other members of your tour group. The cost was around $100 each, and the meeting point was Guest Relations at 8:45am. I would highly recommend this tour, but it's backstage nature might not be ideal for first-timers to Epcot, or anyone who wishes to preserve the mystery of the workings of Epcot.
The Magic Kingdom is the best park at Walt Disney World. Since i first visit WDW in 1981 i have seen the Magic kingdom change for the better. Still my all time favorite attraction is Space Mountain. I will be back to WDW in 2008
This place has zones where you can have fun, eat and play until you leave.
This ride isn\'t the roughest, it\'s the scariest.
I love this ride! It is a work of art. The Zurg Animatronic needs a new voice.
