I loved it! The trip was fun and easy! Although our resort was one of the last ones to be reached, the trip was magical!
The only reason I am adding a comment to this is because I saw a rating of 9.4. If Disney has a 10 anywhere on the grounds it is the Monorail. Far and away the best service you will get at WDW.
The service that these boats provide is fine but the guest (and I include myself) are just way to impatient. If we are staying at the Boardwalk we walk to both parks because it is just as quick and much better for you. If we are staying at the Beach Club we take the boat to the Hollywood Studios sometimes if it is late in the day and we are tired. Try to just treat it as an extension of the parks instead of being in such a hurry and you will enjoy it much more.
We took a trip with our daughter in December of 2006 and the bus service was horrendous. When we were at Downtown Disney (and other places) we had to wait for over an hour for our bus and by the time it arrived there were too many guests for one bus. I thought a fight was going to break out among the last people that would not fit on the bus. I did write Disney and complained about this like everybody should when they have a legitimate complaint. We took another trip in December of 2007 with our 5 kids (3) & grandkids (2) and it was like a different service had taken over. We never waited over 15 minutes no matter where we were at. I again wrote Disney (like everybody should) about this experience to compliment them on how good it was. On a side note I was checking job openings at the Disney web site during the summer of 2007 (in other words between these 2 vacations) and I noticed that there was an opening for the WDW Transportation Manager. It kind of makes me wonder...
This is a great service that I will use again in April, "09". The only problem we have had is the TV's were not working on our last trip to the resort. I would not even bring that up but it was our first trip with our grandkids and it would of been nice if they were working. This is not a big deal compared to what we saved for not having to rent a car or other tranportation. I must say the person who wrote in about it taking 2.5 hours does have a valid complaint (this is not the norm no matter what the cast member said) but to the rest of you squawkers out there rent a car or limo and handle your own luggage if it is so bad. Also I agree with the person who wrote in and said don't yell at the cast members. Treat them the same as you would want to be treated and you will get outstanding service. I never have figured this one out because it does not work anywhere in the common sense world and that includes WDW.
