Walt Disney World has confirmed that Pura Vida, known for its handcrafted bracelets and accessories, will open a new retail location at Disney Springs later this year.

The store will be situated in the Town Center area, occupying the space formerly home to Melissa Shoes, located near Anthropologie. An official opening date has yet to be announced, but construction on the store is set to begin soon.

Pura Vida, founded in 2010, is a lifestyle brand known for its handcrafted bracelets, accessories, and apparel. The company began with a mission to support local artisans in Costa Rica, and has since grown into a globally recognized brand. The Pura Vida product range focuses on vibrant, beach-inspired designs that reflect a carefree and positive lifestyle.

In addition to its products, Pura Vida is committed to giving back, partnering with various charities, and donating a portion of proceeds to causes such as environmental preservation, animal rights, and humanitarian efforts.

Why not, exactly? As I have mentioned before, the number of failures at Disney Springs have been few and far between, and the stores that have closed were mostly stores that didn't make a ton of sense or were struggling nationally. Pura Vida is also owned by another Disney Springs tenant Vera Bradley. If anything, Pura Vida is a perfect addition to a property like Disney Springs - small accessory, not super expensive, and very vacation-y.
