At the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro announced that Disneyland's highly anticipated Tiana's Bayou Adventure will officially open on November 15, 2024. Inspired by Disney's "The Princess and the Frog," the attraction will debut as part of the newly renamed Bayou Country, formerly Critter Country.

Bayou Country, which sits adjacent to New Orleans Square, will feature Tiana's Bayou Adventure as its centerpiece, offering guests a vibrant environment filled with nods to the film and the Louisiana bayou. The area will immerse visitors in the charm and music of the region, surrounded by shady trees and a lively atmosphere.

In addition to the new attraction, Bayou Country will also be home to familiar favorites like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes. The area will see the reopening of the Hungry Bear Restaurant, newly reimagined as the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, which promises to offer scenic dining along the riverside.

Merchandise locations in Bayou Country will include Ray's Berets and Louis' Critter Club, where guests can find themed items inspired by the bayou and its inhabitants. Pooh Corner will continue to offer sweet treats for those exploring the new land.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened earlier this year at Walt Disney World, and the Disneyland version is set to bring a similar experience to the West Coast.

So Walt, how about that Bob Iger…? 🤓 -

Not really, I always assumed Disney had some interns from various divisions, and even some Imagnineers, checking out various Disney Fan Sites for an unofficial poll to gauge reactions.

I am actually Walt Disney, and I'm very disgruntled.

Oh they do. This Forum has been THE place the go for ages now. All the free insights and marketing research alone keeps them coming back. It’s amazing who is on here, and who comes to read our commentary and suggestions. ( Waves to all secretive Disney pals ) -

They must love my commentary then. Hahah

I wouldn't be surprised as they're so lacking in knowledge and understanding of Disney history that they probably take a glimpse at places like this every now and then. Hopefully they'll see how inept and uncreative they are in their recent endeavors.

Probably the movie poster image from ‘SotS’ that was still located at DHS. I visited back in May and was happily stunned to still see it on display on the wall within a Attraction. I was wondering how long it would take until someone from the ‘Disney committee’ would discover it was still there in plain view. I mentioned the poster still being present on the Forum within the WDW ‘Tiana’s Bayou Misadvenure’ thread back in May after my visit but specifically did NOT say exactly where it was located. I knew full well if it was revealed it would be removed, and sure enough someone else apparently ‘found it’ and wasn’t as mindful to take care it naming the location. Disney folks read this forum daily, and I am not talking about fans…. So watch what you say or share pictures of, kids. Mickey is always watching….. -

I swear I recently saw either in this thread or the WDW side someone posting an image of SotS from Disney Studios tucked away in a forgotten corner of a room... well WDI got to it within the past few days and replaced the image with Mr. Toad. It's like the only thing the DEI force is good at is reading forums for ideas on what to do next.

What could have been…. ✨ -

Man, I’d love to know what a version of this attraction that stuck closer to the story beats from the film would have looked like. Especially with Baxter consulting. It’s a shame that the very same mindset that led to Splash going away is the same reason that never gave the replacement a chance.

I think all the wild fires and earthquakes this week is God's way of punishing us for replacing Splash Mountain with this....thing.
