At the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro announced that Disneyland's highly anticipated Tiana's Bayou Adventure will officially open on November 15, 2024. Inspired by Disney's "The Princess and the Frog," the attraction will debut as part of the newly renamed Bayou Country, formerly Critter Country.

Bayou Country, which sits adjacent to New Orleans Square, will feature Tiana's Bayou Adventure as its centerpiece, offering guests a vibrant environment filled with nods to the film and the Louisiana bayou. The area will immerse visitors in the charm and music of the region, surrounded by shady trees and a lively atmosphere.

In addition to the new attraction, Bayou Country will also be home to familiar favorites like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes. The area will see the reopening of the Hungry Bear Restaurant, newly reimagined as the Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, which promises to offer scenic dining along the riverside.

Merchandise locations in Bayou Country will include Ray's Berets and Louis' Critter Club, where guests can find themed items inspired by the bayou and its inhabitants. Pooh Corner will continue to offer sweet treats for those exploring the new land.

Tiana's Bayou Adventure opened earlier this year at Walt Disney World, and the Disneyland version is set to bring a similar experience to the West Coast.

Disney uses Summon Scrims...summon fail. The work is left uncovered

Mind boggling that they didn't put something to cover this. Also interesting- they didn't run TBA during Star Wars Nite. Disneyland's hot new ride and they couldn't run it during an up charge event.

I understand the logistics of needing the ride to operate... but there has got to be a better way to hide this from guests. Some sort of wooden fence would do it.

    Oh my God, it's DIIIIIPPPP!!!

Not true. It was only off during the early part of the previews. It was running by the time it opened to the public.

It hasn't been working since the redo.

I'd assume it's to fix the waterfall which hasn't been working recently.

Isn't that where the waterfall is? I wonder if it is some type of sealant that they will paint over to help prevent erosion.

Anyone know what this orange paint is in the runoff after the splashdown?

I rode the MK version for the first time this past Wednesday after having zero expectations. I last was at DL in October and it was only open for previews. After reading the reviews I was expecting to hate the MK version and, instead, I ended up loving it. It's NOT as good as Splash but it's by no means horrible.

Lol someone said that’s just Plane embarrassing. I’m a dad and I approve this Dad joke.

I think it’s because Tiana isn’t really a new ride, and a local heavy park is going to easily recognize that. The rollout for Mission Breakout was very similar to Tiana, and it’s now very difficult to deny that ride’s popularity.

It seems a little late to be promoting the ride. Then again, maybe it just feels that way because any excitement around it faded out rather quickly.

    Don't miss out!
