Disney Vacation Club (DVC) has revealed the purpose of the recent construction at EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion. The project will bring the first in-park Welcome Home Center to Walt Disney World, set to open this spring.

Named Château de Voyage, the new space will serve as a dedicated location for guests to learn about DVC Membership while exploring a model room from the recently opened Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

Located in the Canada Pavilion’s Hotel du Canada building, this marks the first time DVC has introduced a Welcome Home Center inside a Walt Disney World theme park. The space aims to provide prospective members with a convenient opportunity to learn more about DVC while touring a detailed room model.

Construction at the pavilion had previously fueled speculation about various possibilities, including a bar, lounge, or exhibit. More details about Château de Voyage are expected to be shared as the spring opening approaches.

A similar Welcome Home Center opened at Disney Springs last year, called Gateway to Discovery.

That would just make sense, something Disney doesn't use anymore.

I support it being used for nothing like before.

I've posted something real today. And have something else real to post, as well, that I just discovered yesterday. But, I guess people don't want to know things. 🤷‍♂️

This will be the perfect site to sell... The soon-to-be-announced... but not-yet-officially-named... Beach Club Tower!!! Yep. Another deluxe-to-DVC conversion, coming your way, whether you wanted one or not. A rumored 12-story tower to be build on the site of the current east-wing of Beach Club. It will feature all the usual DVC room types, but half will feature theme park views. Other details are sketchy at this time, like dining options, pools, room breakdown, etc.

The real question guests will be asking after visiting, not "How do I sign up for a DVC?"

If they reopen this thing and still haven’t replaced this light that went missing years ago …

The only silver lining is that this place is going to be dead after some initial curiosity - so maybe they'll use the space for something more compelling in a couple of years. When's the last time you saw a crowd at a DVC booth? If average guests do actually trek up there, they will walk in, quickly figure what it is and say thank you, bye! Not a good use of family vacation Epcot time.
