Following the announcement earlier today that fireworks are returning to Walt Disney World on July 1 2021, we also now have some additional information regarding plans for July 4 and 'Disney After Hours Boo Bash.'

On July 4 Disney will present 'Happily Ever After' at the Magic Kingdom, and 'EPCOT Forever' at EPCOT. Neither show will include any July 4 tags, or special editions of the shows. Disney is concentrating efforts on returning to daily firework shows at this time.

During the ticketed 'Disney After Hours Boo Bash' at Magic Kingdom, 'Happily Ever After' will be performed prior to the start of the event during regular park hours.

The revenues from parks are used to the tune of 40%+ to bankroll the whole she-bang Don’t think they “have got us”

    SoFloMagicAug 14, 2023

So if attendance was down, they'd invest in adding capacity for the reduced attendance to... Fill?

    SirwalterraleighAug 13, 2023

    Not true at all.

    SoFloMagicAug 13, 2023

If we don't go, they'll see a loss in revenue and cut further. Wouldn't it be better to embrace investment in new attractions by buying all the fastpass es for tron? 😂 We can't win this one

    DisoneAug 11, 2023

Amen. Or be like Disneyland APs and make t-shirts that say "undesirables" on them, and then put them on, and then go to the park. Ya... That will show em!!!

    MisterPenguinAug 11, 2023

The party nights are sparsely filled to capacity.

    SirwalterraleighAug 11, 2023

You know what…I totally get you. Except taking it personally…not at all. I know what the deal is so it’s Never personal. One thing that is far too personal around here is failure to admit Disney rough patches (not you)…as if it matters to us. Actually…it does matter..we should withhold our business more to force them to improve their offerings

    DisoneAug 11, 2023

Ok. Perhaps you thought I was going to argue? I am not. Both things can be true at the same time, I can be making light of the situation about how much everyone has talked about attendance being down, while also completely agree with your numbers above. I'm not sure why you took it personally. You shouldn't have. It was not directed at you. Nor anyone else.

Bet that sounded cute, huh? Here’s what you should consider: a 5% drop in wdw attendance is a disaster internally…it translates to a loss of hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues annually They just copped to a 6% drop…in a veiled sorta way…for the quarter. People who are paid to massage numbers as much as possible for financial gain.

Well theoretically according to the news, v bloggers and many people on this forum, every day is a low crowd day at the match kingdom now. 🙂

    nickysAug 11, 2023

Which actually makes it the perfect day to go to MK - unless you really want to see the fireworks. Especially if you have hoppers and can hop to another park afterwards. The non party days are far more crowded right from rope drop. Many guests feel the lower crowds on a party day more than makes up for the shorter hours.

    Disney AnalystAug 11, 2023

Absolutely. They should heavily discount early close days. It's gross.

    SirwalterraleighAug 11, 2023

I avoid it because they want 250% for use of the park that day 👍🏻

    Disney AnalystAug 11, 2023

They never have, even when you only have until 6pm as a regular day guest in the park. Why many avoid MK on party days.
