Construction is yet to begin on the new Ratatouille ride in Epcot's France Pavilion, but permits are now being filed for some of the early site work.

The aerial image above shot a few days ago shows the France Pavilion and the current state of the backstage area that will become home to the Ratatouille expansion.

The expansion pad is currently used to store the Food and Wine Festival kiosks, with a few of those still visible in the photo. Most are already out in World Showcase ahead of the upcoming festival.

Based on the popular attraction at the Walt Disney Studios park in Paris, Ratatouille is expect to open around the Spring of 2020.

It was a cost cutting move, just like not going outside and only using one load station.

Greatly enjoyed riding in Paris on Nov 7 without the need for the 3-D.

I would happily keep 3D in remys in Orlando if they would just add some more rides to WS. Not everyone can do everything or likes everything and that’s fine, it just sucks when there isn’t much to do 🥲

For me, the experience was significantly diminished without 3D. But if most people feel otherwise, then I can understand why Disney got rid of it in Paris (though I still selfishly hope they don’t do so in Orlando).

They got rid of 3D in Kong at Universal because the park was too heavy on 3D movie attractions. It didn't diminish the ride. 3D has been done a lot and having done both versions of that ride in particular, I will say removing 3D is fine.

I found a Reddit thread on this topic after replying to you and was surprised to learn how many people prefer the 2D version for exactly the same reason as you. While many rides make me sick, Remy isn’t one of them, which is why I (selfishly) prefer the more immersive 3D version.

I totally get why it has the 3D, buuuuut it makes me and my family so sick. We rode it in Paris without and loved it! So it’s just my selfish wish lol

Your emoji makes me think (hope?) you’re being sarcastic. I can’t for the life of me understand why they got rid of the 3D in Paris.

Now if only they could just get rid of the 3d like in Paris 😭

They went by how many people in you're party, I can't see what be the difference with single rider other than now they want to fill the entire mouse! 😆

For such a hated country there are sure a lot of folks trying to get in. Oh, yea, it’s to get in and take advantage of the stupid Americans. I get it now.

We’re just fatter and people get hyper offended nowadays if it’s made apparent they’re taking up two seats instead of one.
