Disneyland Paris is preparing for the next phase of its hotel redevelopment program, with Disney Sequoia Lodge set to receive a full makeover beginning in 2026. The project follows the completed renovations of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2021 and the newly reopened Disneyland Hotel in 2024.

Over 1,000 Rooms to Be Refurbished

The large-scale project will rework all 1,010 guest rooms and common areas at Disney Sequoia Lodge. The focus will be on brightening interiors, modernizing design elements, and updating the hotel’s theming while keeping its nature-inspired identity.

Forest Theme Expands Beyond Bambi

Current rooms reference Bambi, but the updated concept will incorporate a wider selection of Disney characters that live in forest settings. These characters—from both classic and recent animated films—will be integrated across rooms, dining locations, and public spaces.

The goal is to subtly update the storytelling throughout the hotel without turning it into a character-heavy space. The redesign is expected to retain the quiet, rustic atmosphere that has defined Sequoia Lodge since its opening.

Sustainable Materials and Phased Construction

The resort will remain open throughout the refurbishment, which will be done in phases. Disney says sustainability will be a priority in both materials and design choices, aiming to minimize environmental impact during construction.

What’s Changing:

  • Rooms: Full interior renovation with new furniture, lighting, and expanded character references
  • Lobby and Common Areas: Redesigned with brighter finishes and modern touches while keeping the lodge-style architecture
  • Shops and Restaurants: Updated decor and layout to match the new forest-and-wildlife aesthetic
  • Exterior landscaping: Adjustments expected to reflect updated theming, but no major structural changes announced

No completion timeline has been given, but the first construction phase begins in 2026.
